Thank you for the feedback. :)

Sanda, I'm glad that you're looking forward to Jenna and her kids arrival in Dallas. :)

Ms. Southworth, thank you. I'm glad that we have some regular readers who also are kind enough to tell us that you like our story. :)
Then as for Jenna, Charlie and Lucas. Since Charlie was like 14 when Lucas was born I think it's pretty natural that she knew who the father was. Then that Lucas doesn't know that's all on Jenna and Ray. Anyway at least Charlie's learnt to keep a secret by now. Back when Lucas was a baby she sure couldn't as she was quick to tell Christopher about Lucas being Bobby's son at Jenna & Ray's wedding.

    Here's another update:

At exactly one o’clock the doorbell rang on Cliff Barnes’ door. Cliff opened it and found two familiar faces standing outdoors, “Afton! Becky!” Cliff smiled, as he greeted them, “How nice of you to come.”

“Hi Cliff,” Afton said nervously, as she could feel the butterflies start to roam around in her stomach. A part of her felt uncomfortable to be back at Cliff’s apartment even after all this time. Yet seeing the smile on her daughter’s face she remembered why she was there.

“Hi dad,” Becky’s eyes sparkled, as she loved having a father.

“So would you like to eat now or would you like to sit down and talk for a while first?” Cliff asked nervously, after he’d closed the door behind them. Afton and Becky exchanged a look and Cliff went on, “Whatever you’d like is fine by me.”

“Well I think I’d like to eat first,” Afton said.

“No I wanna have a look around at dad’s apartment first,” Becky objected.

“Sure you can have a look at whatever room you’d like,” Cliff offered.

“But Cliff these are the same furniture that I picked out, why haven’t you changed them?”

“Well I guess I like them. Besides you’ve always had good taste,” Cliff said to Becky’s amazement.

Afton laughed, “Becky honey, it looks like I can give you a guided tour of your dad’s apartment. I mean after all I was the one who decorated it for him!”

“That’s awesome mom,” Becky grinned and the three of them walked into the kitchen.

    “Yeah this is the kitchen.”

“So what’s for lunch?” Becky asked.

“Oh you’ll find out soon. But let’s just say that it’s my special food from Marino’s Chinese restaurant,” Cliff smiled proudly.

“CHINESE FOOD?!” Becky exclaimed. “But I hate Chinese food!” Becky turned towards Afton, “mom?”

“I’m sorry sweetie, but your dad does have a thing for Chinese food,” Afton rolled her eyes. “I’m sorry I didn’t remember to tell him you don’t like it,” Afton added, although a part of her was not that sorry, as she was having mixed emotions about Cliff’s reappearance into her life. So if he and Becky don’t hit it off, that just means I won’t have to worry about him trying to take my child away from me, Afton reflected.

“You really don’t like Chinese food?” Cliff asked surprised, as it was his favorite food and the thought that his daughter may not like it had never even occurred to him.

    “I really don’t like it!”

“Okay so what do you like then?” Cliff asked.

“My favorite food is Pizza,” Becky replied.

“Well if that’s so, how about if I’ll order you a pizza instead?”

Becky’s face lit up at the prospect, “Really?”

“Yeah really,” Cliff picked up the phone and started dialing a number from a note by the phone. “Hello this is Cliff Barnes. I would like to order a pizza…” Cliff then turned to Becky and said, “What do you like?”

    “Hawaii.”

“A Hawaii,” Cliff placed the order. “Yes I would like to have it delivered to my house,” Cliff then proceeded with giving out his address.

“Yes sir. It will be there within 10 minutes,” the man at the pizzeria promised and Cliff hung up the phone.

“Cliff I’m really surprised,” Afton said in amazement.

    “Why’s that?”

“Because you won’t force your daughter to eat Chinese food,” Afton said, “Besides the pizza is going to cost you extra.”

“Don’t worry about that I’ll pay for it. Nothing’s too much for my daughter,” Cliff smiled proudly, as he gave Becky a hug.

Seeing father and daughter looking so happy together Afton could feel a sting of guilt tug at her heart, since she knew that it was her fault that they had missed out on so many years together. Maybe I was wrong trying to keep Becky from her father? Afton hated to admit it. But a part of her knew that Cliff would have been a wonderful father if he’d ever gotten the chance to. But she didn’t breathe a word about that to Cliff, instead she simply said, “You really have changed.”

“Well it’s been 6 years since I last saw you,” Cliff simply stated.

“Yes a lot can happen in six years,” Afton nodded.

“It definitely can,” Cliff said before he turned to his daughter, “So Becky why don’t you run upstairs and have a look at the rest of my apartment while we wait for your pizza to arrive?” Cliff suggested. “I’d like to talk to your mother for a little while if you don’t mind?” He then added and Becky smiled.

“Sure dad I don’t mind. I’ll go have a look at your place,” Becky disappeared upstairs and left her parents alone.

Being alone together for the first time in six years they could both feel the tensioning lingering in the air. It got uncomfortably silent as neither one of them knew what to say. They both had so much on their minds but didn’t know where to start. Eventually Cliff took it upon himself to break the silence by saying, “So I take it you never got married again?”

Afton felt like the blood in her veins froze to ice, as his question completely threw her off guard. Yet she tried her best not to let it show. “No,” Afton shook her head. “But I am seeing someone.”

“I know, Mario Badeau, isn’t it?” Cliff said in a way that made Afton feel like her heart had gotten caught in her throat.

Her eyes narrowed, “How did you know?”

“He called the other day when I was at your apartment.”

“Oh so it was Mario who was on the phone?” Afton finally pieced it together. “Why didn’t you tell me?” Afton then asked and seeing the jealousy in Cliff’s eyes Afton could feel her heart start to beat faster. Can it be he’s still interested in me? Afton pondered.

“You never gave me a chance to.”

“Fair enough, so I guess you don’t have a woman in your life?”

    “How did you know?”

“The apartment,” Afton smiled. “If you’d had a new woman in your life she’d want to redo things.”

“Well not all women are interested in that. I mean I was seeing someone a few years ago that I wanted to marry. Liz Adams but…” Cliff started to explain but Afton won’t hear it.

“Cliff…” Afton interrupted him. “You really don’t have to tell me about it, I mean I’m only here for Becky’s sake.”

“Oh, so you really don’t care about me then?”

“I care but not in the way you want me to,” Afton explained and yet seeing the disappointment in Cliff eyes hurt her more than she wanted. “I’m sorry Cliff, but I just thought I’d make that clear from the start, as I don’t want you to build up any false expectations about us ever becoming a proper family, since that’s never going to happen.” Afton effectively crushed all of Cliff’s hopes and for a moment it got silent as neither one of them knew what else to say. So the ringing of the doorbell was a welcomed sound.

“Ah that must be Becky’s pizza, why don’t you go get Becky and I’ll get that,” Cliff plastered a smile on his face, as he was trying hard not to let Afton see just how much she had hurt him.

“Okay,” Afton nodded and started walking upstairs.

As she does, Cliff called out nervously after her, “That Pizzeria sure knew what they were doing. I mean it hasn’t even been ten minutes so how’s that for a speedy delivery to their customers?” Cliff rambled on as he opened the door. He then turned towards the delivery guy with a smile on his lips and said, “Yes we were going to have a hot p…” Cliff’s smile vanished, as he stared in shock at the brunette woman and child who was standing on his doorstep. Oh My God, it can’t be…I thought she never wanted to see me again… Cliff could feel his throat getting choked up, as the woman on his doorstep looked too much like his long lost little sister not to be. Yet he barely dared to believe that it’s really her. “Pa…Pam?”

Pam tried to swallow down the lump in her throat, as she hadn’t expected her older brother to have grown that old. Oh poor Cliff he’s aged so much while I’ve been away…these past years can’t have been easy on him, Pam reflected, as she could feel herself getting all emotional. Pam nodded as she tried to compose herself. “Yes Cliff, I’ve gotta say that this was a hot welcome, much warmer than I’d expected,” Pam joked in an attempt to break the ice.

Hearing her voice Cliff could feel the tears well up in his eyes, “Oh my God Pam…it’s really you…”

“Yes it’s me…” Pam confirmed and it got silent for a moment as the siblings stared at each other before Pam went on. “Can I come in?”

“Sure,” Cliff gestured with his hands.

Pam and the little girl then entered the apartment. But Cliff wasn’t paying much attention to the child as he was looking at Pam, like if he feared she would just vanish into thin air. For the longest time he hadn’t expected his sister to ever return to him. But here she was. Pam licked her lips nervously before she went on, “I know it’s a lot to ask but…I was sort of hoping you’d forgive me for the way I treated you in LA…I…” Pam swallowed as the tears started to fall down her cheek. “I was still very sick then and…I’m not anymore…so I’m back and…can you forgive me?” Pam pleaded with Cliff.

Looking into her sad big brown eyes Cliff knew that no matter of how much she’d hurt him, he had already forgiven her in his heart, “Oh Pam…” Cliff said emotionally as the tears welled over in his eyes and he scooped Pam up in a big hug. “I thought that I’d never see you again…” Cliff cried. “And I’ve been so lonely without you…”

“I know…me too…I’ve missed you so much Cliff…” Pam cried against Cliff’s shoulder. For a moment the siblings were just holding onto each other, as if they were almost afraid to let each other go again.

Knowing that her older brother had forgiven her Pam could feel a burden being lifted off her shoulders and yet she was almost afraid to believe that it was true. This went almost too easy. Where is Cliff’s anger? Why isn’t he yelling at me for deceiving him all those years ago? Pam pondered.

This has been a strange week. First I find Afton and my little girl and now my sister waltz back into my life again. It feels just like old times… Cliff reflected.

Eventually their reunion was interrupted by Afton’s voice. “Cliff, what’s going on?” Afton asked. “I take it that wasn’t the pizza delivery?”

Pam and Cliff pulled apart and looked up only to see Afton and Becky standing before them.

“Yes dad who are they?” Becky asked, as she looked from her father to the woman and the younger girl with brown curls and big hazel brown eyes.

But a moment later her question was answered by her mother who started smiling from ear to ear when she recognized the woman Cliff had been hugging, “Oh My God…Pam? ”

“Afton?” Pam smiled. “What a nice surprise to find you here! I always hoped you and Cliff would work things out…”

Afton could feel her smile stiffen, as she didn’t look forward to explain her relationship with Cliff to Pam. But at the moment she was so overjoyed of seeing Pamela again that she chose to ignore Pam’s remark about her and Cliff. So instead she just said, “It’s nice to see you too Pam.”

The two women embraced each other warmly. When they broke off the hug Pam said, “I can’t believe it. It must have been years since I last saw you.”

“Yeah, you look remarkably well Pam. I mean I heard about your accident so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect and…”

“I’d rather not talk about the accident…”

“Well of course you don’t. I’m sorry for bringing it up…I had thought about coming back to see you then but…” Afton paused for a moment. “Never mind,” Afton decided to change the subject so she gestured towards Becky. “Um…I don’t believe you’ve met Pamela Rebecca?”

Pam looked at the blond little girl for a moment and got all choked up when she realized who she must be. “Oh Afton…is she?”

    “Yes,” Afton nodded.

“And you named her after me and Mama?”

“Yes…you were my family for years,” Afton said emotionally.

Pam could feel her tears spill over again before she turned to Cliff and said, “Oh Cliff you must be so proud.”

    “I am…” Cliff nodded.

“Mom is this, the Pamela you told me about?” Becky asked.

“Yes honey, this is your aunt, she’s come back and…” Afton’s stopped herself mid-sentence as her eyes wandered off to the little girl who had come with Pam. “I guess this little girl must be your cousin…”

Afton’s words cut through Cliff’s awareness and for the first time since he had opened the door he realized that Pam hadn’t came to see him alone. “Pam is this little girl my niece?”

    “Yes…this is Rebecca,” Pam confirmed.

“Oh you named her after mama,” Cliff smiled.

“Yes,” Pam nodded before she turned to an unusually quiet Rebecca and said, “Rebecca honey, this is your uncle Cliff, your aunt Afton and your cousin Pamela.”

    “Hi everyone,” Rebecca smiled.

“Actually everyone who knows me calls me Becky,” Becky corrected Pam.

Pam smiled, “Ah another Becky Barnes, how about that?”

Afton shifted uncomfortably before she pointed out, “Actually it’s Cooper, Cliff and I are not married.”

    “Oh…” Pam blushed. “I’m sorry I just assumed…”

“It’s okay Pam. You couldn’t know,” Afton said. The adults went quiet as they were trying to figure out what to say. There was so much to say that they barely knew where to start. Their children fortunately didn’t have that problem as they were hitting it off right away.

“I’m ten so how old are you Rebecca?”

    “I’m seven.”

“Okay, do you wanna see my dad’s apartment?”

    “Sure…”

“Great, he has a water bed we can go and jump in,” Becky smiled mischievously.

Rebecca smiled at that, “You know I think I’m gonna love having you as a cousin.”

The girls disappeared upstairs and Cliff turned to Pam and said, “So how’s that husband of yours?”

    “Um…Bobby’s fine.”

    “Bobby?” Cliff asked surprised.

“Yeah he’s still the only husband I’ve ever had.”

“But I thought...I mean what happened to that David Gordon guy then?” Cliff asked confused. “I thought you were head over heels with him so surely I expected you two to be married by now…”

Pam was dumbfounded, “I’m sorry but David who?”

“The doctor you introduced me to in Los Angeles…” Cliff reminded Pam.

“Oh you mean Dr. Gordon,” Pam smiled uneasily. “Um…we were never even a couple…”

“You weren’t?” Cliff asked surprised, as he had been sure that Pam had a new man in her life. He then frowned, “So who’s Rebecca’s father then?”

“Um…Cliff I think you’d better sit down for this one, since that’s a long story…” Pam said and the three of them sat down by the dinner table and Pam started to fill Cliff and Afton in on what had happened to her since she’d left Dallas…

Cute update Karin!:) I am loving Cliff's reunion with Pam, Rebecca, Afton, and Becky so far but a part of me is very sad that Bobby and Christopher were unable to be with Pam when she reunited with her brother Cliff and she introduced him to her and Bobby's daughter Rebecca bacause Christopher is aa hard time forgiving his mom for abandoning him and his father. :):( I want the Barnes and Ewing families to reunite and to stop their stupid feud so Bobby and Pam can live happily ever after with their families and their children Christopher and Rebecca. :)

Absolutely AMAZING update, IMO :dance::dance: Somehow, everything was just like I'd imagined! :)

I loved the way Cliff welcomed Afton and Becky. I also loved the way Cliff reacted when Pam showed up on his doorstep (and that he didn't even notice Rebecca at first ... LOL). Furthermore, I loved how Afton and Pam reacted when seeing each other again after so many years. And I loved how Becky and Rebecca seemed to hit it off from the very first second they met! :jolly::jolly::jolly:

I wish that I could do a couple of cartwheels (and all other kinds of gymnastics) for you ... ... because that's how happy I am right now! Thank you for making my day!

Now, Pam needs to go back to Southfork with this positive visit in the back of her mind, and finally sit down with Christopher! For everyones sake, the emotional scars that mother and son are carrying around need to begin their healing process! :) (And I should add that I'm hoping for some more romance between not only you know who ... but also all the other "couples" who currently reside at the Southfork mansion)! ;)

    Please update real soon :best:

PS. I wish that more people who tune in daily to read your fan fic would write you either on this thread or via a private message and tell you what they think! :)

I'm glad that Cliff has a relationship with his daughter, not like the one we saw on TNT... And I have a feeling that Afton's boyfriend is probably not going to last long with Cliff in the picture:)

Thank you everyone for the feedback. I do appreciate that you take a moment to tell me what you think. :thank:

Sanda, I am glad that you enjoyed Cliff's and Pam's reunion.
Then as for the feud, sorry to disappoint you but JR and Cliff are not going to give it a rest anytime soon...
But don't worry a lot of their "sandbox business schemes" are pretty funny...

Ms. Southworth, thanks I'm glad you gave the last update 10 out of 10 points. :)
It's sweet to say that this update made your day. I'm glad when this story is able to brings happiness to other fans. Even though I am fully aware of that the reason why we are so invested in the characters to begin with is because of the excellent foundation laid by the original Dallas. Truly excellent TV. :tv2:
You are right that Pam and Christopher are both carrying around emotional scars and those can take a while to heal. But don't worry things will get better...
There will also be plenty of more romance in this story...but I won't tell you when or between who...

Silvie, I am glad that you loved the reunion between Pam, Cliff and Afton. :)

Tommie, thanks yeah the way Cliff and Pamela Rebecca were on Dallas TNT was truly horrible. I hate how he killed her babies and she left him to rot in that Mexican jail. Anyway enough said about that alternative universe, as far as I am concerned none of that ever happened... ;)
I can't tell you if your hunch about Afton's boyfriend is right or wrong. But well I can tell you that you'll get to meet him in the next episode...

    Here's another update:

JR was sitting behind his desk at Ewing Oil, when his secretary Sly suddenly came walking into his office carrying a folder, “JR, was it these files you were looking for?”

JR took a look at the folder and nodded, “Yes. Put them in my special bank box now, will you?” JR handed the folder back to Sly.

“Sure, but may I ask why?”

“Sly don’t ask so many questions, just do it!”

“But JR doesn’t these files belong to the company?”

“It’s my private folder and I want you to put them away because John Ross will come with me to the office this summer and I don’t want him to see those files,” JR explained. He really loved his son and he was proud to bring him into the office with him but there were certain dirty dealings in those files that John Ross was better off not knowing about. At least not yet, JR added, as he did intend to teach his son how to survive in the oil business one day when he was older.

“Oh I see it’s the red files,” Sly said knowingly.

“Exactly, now go and put them in my bank box, will you?”

    “Sure thing JR,” Sly replied.

“Good you can do it on your lunch hour and then I’ll meet you at the oil barons’ for lunch, how’s about that?”

“Thanks JR. I’ll be on my way,” Sly said.

“That’s more like it,” JR smiled, as Sly left his office and closed the door behind her.

Thanks for yet another wonderful update :) It's no surprise that JR is scheming (yet won't let his son see all his "tricks" ... at least not now anyway). ;) For a split second, I thought that JR was trying to hide a report about Pam's life in Los Angeles, but I guess that that can't be it at this point, because the file that Sly was asked to put into JR's safe "belonged" to the company! ;)

Let's have another update real soon (since today's update was kind of short - yet still reminded me that we should never turn our backs to JR ... you never know what he's up to)! ;)

Liked the chapter with Cliff and Afton meeting Pam again. It doesn't matter if Becky doesn't like Chinese food, because Cliff is the king of ALL take-out and delivery food! I imagine that he would have all of the numbers for those types of things on speed dial! (Did they have something like speed dial back then?) I like that Cliff is getting a real chance to be a dad here! I always thought he really wanted kids and would make a great father. Heck, he even liked little John Ross! I hated how they made Cliff in the TNT Dallas! But I am kind of worried about Afton finding out that he is all buddy-buddy with Marilee and still obsessed with JR. BTW, I am curious about JR finding that information he requested on Pam.

Thank you for the feedback. :)

Ms. Southworth, no it's gonna take some time for Rattigan to dig up the dirt on Pamela. So that report is not coming yet...
But yeah JR is always scheming. I don't think we would want him any other way, or would we?

Presea, I'm glad that you liked the chapter when Cliff and Afton met Pam. The comment of Cliff being king of take out made me go
Yes I think speed dial existed in the 90's. I seem to recall having some numbers on our home phone on speed dial already in the late '80s.
After having seen Cliff with Christopher on the original show I got the feeling that Cliff would be a good dad too. So yeah it's good that he gets to know his daughter. I always felt sad for him that Afton just took the child and disappeared on the original show. :(
I mean imagine how much better the show had been if Cliff and Afton had been married then and become a family with Pamela Rebecca on Dallas two last years instead of Cliff running after that boring Liz Adams.

    Okay here's another update:

Back at Cliff Barnes’ house were Pam and Rebecca getting ready to leave to go home after spending the whole afternoon catching up with Cliff, Afton and Becky.

“Rebecca are you coming?” Pam called out to her daughter, who was busy playing videogames with Becky. “We need to go home now.”

“Oh mom can’t we stay just a few more minutes?” Rebecca pleaded. “Becky and I are having so much fun.”

“I know you are sweetie and I am glad you and your cousin are hitting it off. But I promised daddy that we’d be home for dinner,” Pam reminded her daughter.

“Oh that’s right Pam, you happened to exclude that one little detail about who Rebecca’s father is when you told us about what you’ve been doing in the past couple of years…” Cliff suddenly said and Afton and Pam gave Cliff a strange look.

“But Cliff I thought you had already figured that one out,” Afton said surprised.

“Yeah I mean I told you I was already pregnant when I left Dallas…” Pam reminded him.

“Yeah you did but you never told me…” Cliff stopped mid-sentence, as he finally started to put the pieces together. “Who the father was...” he finished, as a thought occurred to him. Oh no that can’t be…Cliff didn’t want to believe it.

“Well who was I married to when I left Dallas?” Pam hinted and Cliff’s face went pale, as his suspicions were confirmed.

“No wait a minute now, don’t tell me that Bobby is Rebecca’s father?”

“Well of course Bobby’s Rebecca’s father,” Pam replied, like if it was the most natural thing in the world.

“Yeah what’s the matter Cliff I thought you had gotten that a long time ago. Personally I think it’s great,” Afton smiled before she turned to Pam. “I mean you and Bobby always wanted more kids.”

    “Thanks Afton,” Pam smiled.

But Cliff didn’t share their enthusiasm, “I don’t think it’s great. Does Bobby know?”

“Of course he does,” Pam smiled.

    “How did he take it?”

“He was surprised but happy and then he asked me to come back to Southfork with him.”

Cliff sighed, “Oh no don’t tell me that you’re staying at Southfork.”

    “Sure am,” Pam replied.

“But Pam, are you crazy?” Cliff asked. “You can’t move back into Southfork, it’s not good for you…”

“Of course I can, Bobby asked me to come back so I came back.”

Cliff gave her a skeptical look, “Just like that?”

“Yeah I know it’s a little crazy to just up and leave the house in Los Angeles but I am still in love with Bobby so…”

“You are?” Afton smiled and Pam nodded. “How nice for you, I know that you’ve always loved Bobby.”

“Yeah I have and he’s forgiven me so it’s perfect, I really do believe that this is our one chance to become a family again,” Pam smiled.

“What about Christopher then?” Cliff asked.

“What about Christopher?” Pam didn’t follow him.

“How is he handling all this?” Cliff prompted.

“Oh Christopher’s fine with it,” Pam said a bit too quick for Cliff’s liking.

    “Somehow I really doubt that.”

“Well he is,” Pam insisted before she pleaded with her brother, “Oh Cliff why can’t you be happy for me?”

“I’m sorry Pam. It’s just that I’m not sure that you and Bobby getting back together is a good idea.”

“Well thanks I can tell you are just as supportive as ever and Bobby said you had changed. Well Sorry Cliff but I just don’t see it. You are just as self-centered as ever,” Pam lost her temper.

“Hey why are you attacking me like this for?” Cliff asked angrily. “I haven’t done anything wrong. I mean you were the one who left us. Not the other way around. So don’t come here to me begging for sympathy just because that doctor dumped you!”

Cliff’s harsh words really hurt Pam and more than anything else his ignorance was making her really mad, “For the last time Cliff that doctor and me was never even an item,” Pam raised her voice.

“Yeah right whatever you say,” Cliff said bitterly.

“We weren’t,” Pam insisted. “Oh Cliff have you even listened to one single word I’ve said?”

“Sure I’ve heard it alright. But I don’t like it.”

“Well I suppose I was a fool for thinking that you’d be happy for me and Bobby,” Pam said upset. “It’s funny even after all these years apart you are still just the same old Cliff,” Pam said angrily before she turned to Rebecca and pulled her out of the couch. “Come on Rebecca we’re leaving now.”

    “But mom…”

“No but moms. I said now. You know how upset your grandma gets when someone’s late for dinner.”

“I know but Becky and I…”

“You can see Becky some other time. I am sure Afton wouldn’t mind bringing her out to Southfork, especially not now when Mitch is living there…”

“Mitch is what?” Afton looked shocked.

“Oh I am sorry Afton but I thought you knew…” Pam realized that she’d said something stupid.

    “Knew what?” Afton asked.

Pam bit her lip as she realized that she’d said too much. Thinking that there might be a reason why Mitch hadn’t informed his sister of his remarriage to Lucy she settled for a half truth. “Um…that he and Lucy are back together again. Apparently they hooked up while on a trip to Australia…”

“Oh…I can’t believe it…” Afton was stunned by the news. “I mean after two divorces I can’t see how they can possibly think that it’s going to work this time…” Afton sighed.

“Well you know what they say, the third time is supposed to be the charm,” Pam smiled. Maybe it will be for Bobby and me too, she then added mentally. But that she didn’t say out loud. Instead she just said, “Anyway Rebecca and I really must get going now but if you want to see me again you know where you can find me.”

“Yeah at Southfork,” Afton sighed, as she was not too fond of going out to that ranch as that place always reminded her of JR.

Pam however didn’t seem to notice as she just said, “That’s right, come on Rebecca, let’s go home to daddy.”

“Oh that’s right, I almost forgot give my sympathies to Bobby and Christopher,” Cliff said bitterly.

His words puzzled Pam, “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Bobby will know if you’ll tell him,” Cliff simply replied.

“Well maybe I will and maybe I won’t. Bye Cliff, Afton, Becky,” Pam said and with those words she and Rebecca walked out of Cliff’s door, with Rebecca and Becky screaming their goodbyes.

The moment the door had closed behind them Cliff cursed. “Damn!”

“Cliff that’s no way to talk in front of our daughter,” Afton lectured him.

“I’m sorry Afton it’s just that I’m so upset.”

“Why are you upset?” Afton asked. “I mean you have your sister back and I thought you liked Bobby…”

“I do. But you don’t get it. Bobby’s about as close to a brother as I’ve ever had,” Cliff said and Afton frowned at that.

“But if you feel that way about Bobby I can’t see what the problem is?”

“The problem is Pam. I mean she can’t just waltz back into our lives like this and expect everything to be okay. I mean do you have any idea how badly she hurt Bobby and Christopher when she left?”

    “Not really but…”

    “How much she hurt me?”

“I know she hurt you but I thought you said you’d forgive her…”

“I did and I will forgive her. It’s just that Pam’s changed Afton and not for the better.”

“What do you mean?” Afton didn’t get it. “She seemed pretty much the same old Pam to me…”

“No the old Pam would never have put Bobby and Christopher through all this pain and then expect them to forgive her just because she got bored in LA. The old Pam would never have lied to me and said she was marrying some doctor. The old Pam would never have used a child to manipulate her way back into Bobby’s life…”

“Hey wait a minute now. Who’s said she’s using the child. I mean Rebecca is her daughter she’d never do anything to hurt her. Didn’t you hear what an ordeal she went through just to give her life?”

“Yeah I heard her alright, but let’s just say I am a bit skeptic…”

“You don’t believe her,” Afton stated.

    “Do you?”

    “Yes, why don’t you?”

“I don’t know Afton. I want to believe her but I am not sure that I can…” Cliff said with a broken voice. “You’ll see I am not sure that I can trust her. I mean she’s my sister and I love her, but she’s lied to me before so who’s to say she can’t do it again?”

“What are you saying daddy, do you think that Rebecca isn’t my cousin” Becky piped in worriedly.

“No sweetie, she’s your cousin alright,” Cliff reassured his daughter. She’s just like Pam was at that age, spunky and lively, Cliff added mentally. Then he sighed, “But I just don’t know if she’s really Bobby’s daughter or if Pam’s just saying that she is to get back on Bobby’s good side and it’s worrying me,” Cliff explained. “I mean after everything she’s already put Bobby and Christopher through the last thing I want is to see them get hurt again,” Cliff finished and his words astonished Afton.

    “You really care about them.”

“Of course when Pam left Christopher and Bobby was all the family I had left!”

Afton nodded, as she finally realized something, “I’m sorry.”

Cliff looked at her questioningly, “For what?”

“Keeping Becky from you,” Afton finally admitted. “I promise that won’t happen again.”

“Thanks Afton. I’m so glad that you’re here today. I don’t know how I would have dealt with Pam and Rebecca if you hadn’t been.”

“I’m glad I was here too, it was nice seeing Pam again…” Afton paused for a moment before she momentarily let her guard down. “It was nice seeing you too…” she added softly.

“Thanks, so I take it we can do this again some time?”

“Yes we definitely can,” Afton smiled.

Damn, you know they are some screwed up people when Afton is being the voice of reason LOL.
They all need some serious therapy (maybe they could get a group discount?).
Or since it's the 90's maybe they could just do Jerry Springer and beat each other with chairs.
Can't wait to see what happens next.

Thanks so much for another great update. :gotcha:

It's so good to hear that Becky and Rebecca are getting along. I wonder how long it'll be before the three young girls will be horseback riding together? Or having pool parties or slumber parties at Southfork (which most likely will drive JR up the walls :lolo: )?

I loved that Cliff actually see Bobby as the brother he never had (and also saw Bobby and Christopher as his only family after Pam left Dallas) - in spite of the fact that the three supposedly haven't seen a lot of each other lately. :)

I have been experiencing some "anxiety" about a few expressions that Pam has used several times now that I have yet to figure out the real meaning of: (1) "Bobby's the only husband that I've ever had (except for the mistake in my youth)" and (2) "Bobby is Rebecca' father". What is Pam's secret? And is it so terrible that it will break them up for good? My mind as well as my heart is racing at this point! :( And to top this off, Pam lies to Cliff and Afton about how Christopher is coping with her "homecoming" ... what could possible be Pam's motive for doing that? :( I know that this is Dallas, but really ... Bobby and Pam deserve to have time to rebuild their relationship! It's time for peace and harmony ... not only for them, but also for everyone else! Maybe all the kids should go camping for a day or two, while all the adults enjoy a huge oyster party a Southfork (in order to bring out all the lovely endorphins)? :D

I thought that it was cute that Pam accidently ended up being the one to tell Afton that Lucy and Mitch had remarried! Pam didn't know that it was a "secret", so I don't hold her responsible for being the "messenger"! ;)

I really liked how well things went between Cliff and Afton, and how she tried to calm him down after he'd expressed all his concerns about his sister! :) And I loved it when Afton gave Cliff an apology for keeping Becky from him for all these years! :) (I wonder if Pam will be warning Afton about getting back together with Cliff due to all his "faults"?) ;)

I'm trying to guess how everyone else has spent the afternoon, while Pam and Rebecca has been away from Southfork? But my imagination is nothing like yours ... ;) Please update soon! :spinning::spinning::spinning:

Great updates Karin. I have a really bad feeling in the pit of my stomach that Rebecca might not be Bobby and Pam's biological daughter after Cliff questioned his sister about Rebecca's paternity in front of Afton. I really hope I am wrong.

Thank you everyone for the feedback. :)

Honkytonkangel, yeah it's sort of interesting how Sue Ellen was the only one to see a shrink on the show, or ok Pam too when she had her mental break down. But we never saw much of her sessions. Because yeah the Ewings sure is a dysfunctional family. But I guess they like to keep their problems to themselves...
Hilarious about the Jerry Springer comment.

Ms Southworth, I'm glad that you enjoyed the latest update. You are right that Pam does have a secret and eventually you will find out what it is and how Bobby will take it. But not yet. Then as for Christopher I think she's brushing the problem underneath the carpet at the moment and since Cliff suddenly began to question her she sort of went into defensive mode and is not going to discuss her problems anymore with him. I'm glad that you enjoyed how Cliff and Afton got along better though.

Sanda, I wouldn't worry so much about Rebecca's paternity if I were you. After all Bobby is not worried. He knows she is his daughter.

Pammy, I'm glad that you enjoyed the update.

    Here's another update:

Mitch couldn’t believe his bad luck. When Lucy had offered to show him her work he’d expected that he might feel a little out of place. But he hadn’t expected this. Looking around the art gallery that Lucy co-owned, Mitch was looking for an escape route. Even with Lucy there excitedly presenting him to her staff and enthusiastically asking for his opinions on new painters she’d discovered Mitch had to fake interest. He knew that he should be proud of Lucy for all she had accomplished. She had finally come into her own and built up a very successful business in art dealing and yet he couldn’t help but being bored to tears with it.

“So what do you think?” Lucy enthusiastically asked his opinion of yet another painting which looked like nothing but a bunch of colors splattered together on a piece of paper.

    “It’s…um…special,” Mitch finally managed.

“Yeah don’t you just love the artist’s use of colors?” Lucy smiled. “I can see a very Miró like quality in his work.”

“Well if you’ll say so,” Mitch shrugged his shoulders before adding carefully, “Personally I sort of prefer art where you can actually make out the motif.”

“Oh we have a lot of those too. That used to be our specialty when we started out. But after Cally moved from town we had to branch out.”

“Who’s Cally?” Mitch asked. “I’ve never heard about her before…”

“Oh come on Mitch, Cally was my aunt by marriage. She was the lucky little lady who was married to JR.”

“JR had another wife?” Mitch asked surprised.

“Sure did and a young one at that. She was only 23 when they got married.”

“And JR ruined her I presume?”

“He did his best to. I tried to help her. We were quite good friends before I left for Europe. Then by the time I came back she had already left town a lot richer but sort of broken in spirit. I haven’t heard anything from her for years though…”

    “That’s a shame.”

“Yeah it’s sort of strange she just disappeared off the radar. I’ve heard rumors it might be because she bore JR a son but I’ve never gotten it confirmed. I mean how freaky is that?” Lucy asked. “I may have another little cousin running around somewhere that I’ve never even met…”

“Well knowing JR you may have more than just one cousin unaccounted for…”

“Very true…” Lucy smiled, before she spotted a blonde woman in her mid-40s who was busy hanging up a painting. “Now here’s someone I’d like you to meet…Diane!” Lucy called out and the woman turned around and greeted Lucy with a huge smile.

“Lucy Ewing! How nice to see you. It’s really been too long.”

“I know but it’s Cooper now,” Lucy said and flashed the finger with her engagement and wedding band on it.

“Oh my, you’ve gotten married! Congratulations,” the woman hugged Lucy. “And I guess this is the lucky fellow?”

“Yep, this is Mitch,” Lucy smiled. “Mitch meet Diane Palmer, she’s managing the art gallery for us and is handling all the day to day operations,” Lucy explained.

“It’s nice to meet you Diane.”

“Likewise Mitch, I gotta say Lucy landed herself a real hunk here.”

“Oh Diane,” Lucy grinned. “I know I am lucky, so is there anything new that I need to know about?”

“Well only that Alex sent over some new paintings from Europe that he wanted you to have a look at…” Diane replied and Lucy smiled.

“Sounds good, I suppose he’s found another artist to sponsor. Alex’s always had a good eye for new talent,” Lucy smiled.

“Who’s Alex?” Mitch asked, a hint of jealousy in his voice.

“Um…Alex Barton is my partner…” Lucy replied a bit too quick for Mitch’s liking. “My very silent partner,” she then added.

“Okay so when will I get to meet him?” Mitch asked.

“You probably won’t. Not unless we travel that is. He doesn’t particularly like Dallas…”

    “Why’s that?”

“That’s a long story but let’s just say that JR had something to do with it,” Lucy said before she looked at the watch and said, “Um…Diane I think I’ll have to take a rain check on those paintings. Mitch and I have dinner reservations for 6.30 and with the afternoon traffics we’d better start moving…”

“I understand, so when will you be back?”

“I’ll try to stop by before the end of the week, ok?”

“Sounds good,” Diane smiled. “But what do I tell Alex?”

“Tell him to buy some more paintings if he’d like. I trust his judgment,” Lucy replied. Before she turned to Mitch and said. “So now Dr. Cooper how about some dinner and a night on town?”

“Finally Mrs. Cooper,” Mitch grinned. “I think some time away from your family is just what we need.”

“I couldn’t agree with you more,” Lucy smiled, before she leant up and gave Mitch a quick kiss. Then the two of them started walking out of the gallery, both looking forward to spending the night in Dallas…

Awesome update, I love the story Jenny and you are writing.

I loved the phone call between Don and Sue Ellen. You know he has no plans to stop the movie coming to the US. JR listening in on the call was funny.

Pam and Bobby kissing was cute Rebecca walking up bad timing.

Becky meeting her Dad was cute, I love how he was calm when she said she didn't like Chinese food he ordered pizza. Pam and Rebecca showing up was nice until Cliff found out Rebecca was Bobby's child. I really like how Cliff is worried about Bobby and Christopher getting hurt. Pam does need to realize she left everyone she is the one that needs to make amends especially with Christopher. I liked when Afton said she was sorry for keeping Rebecca away from Cliff.

Mitch and Lucy are cute together, I was not a fan of Mitch's in the show but I like him in your story.

Looking forward to your next updates.❤

Oh my, this should have been turned into Dallas TNT version, the writing is better than the CC drivel. Bringing all the old characters back together slowly, but surely under one roof ................. my biggest "wish" is for this to end how the original Dallas started, Bobby n Pammy driving back down the drive to Southfork, married and the end!!!!!

    Excellent update:spinning:  :spinning: :bravo:

Mitch was so funny ... loved it ... he tries so hard to sound interested because he loves Lucy :giggle:

A night out on the town is just what the newly weds need! It can't be all good spending so much time under the same roof as the Ewing clan  (and the other couples at Southfork should work a bit harder for some alonetime, if they want some action in their lovelife) ;) And I for one am rooting for more babies at Southfork! :wink@

I wonder when Miss Ellie will take "centerstage" again! :) I hope that she will set aside time for her youngest granddaughters! Cooking or baking together could be great activities for them to really get to know each other! I also wonder when Miss Ellie will begin redecorating some of the bedrooms at Southfork! Rebecca and Margaret should have their own bedrooms at some point! And I feel quite certain that Miss Ellie would have excellent taste in decorating bedrooms for young girls (or she would know where to get professional advice) ;)

    Please update soon! :10::10::10::10::10::10:

Thank you so much for the feedback everyone. :)

Jessie, I'm glad that you're still loving this story. :)
You're right about Don, he is not very eager to stop that movie since it means breaking his contract and stop his cash flow.
I'm glad that you like Mitch more in our story than on the show. I guess he was sort of a one dimensional character on the show and maybe if we had started writing this story now we would have come up with a new love interest for Lucy instead. But well back then Lucy and Mitch was Jenny's most favorite couple on the show so they just had to be together. Oh and another good thing about Mitch is that he's related to Afton and Becky...

    Thanks Shan, :bh:

Pammy, thank you for saying that our writing is better than the Dallas TNT one. I take that as a real compliment. :hat:
You are right that Dallas lacks a good ending, which is really why we began writing this. I can't tell you how it will end. But I can tell you this, I love happy endings. :)

    Ms. Southworth,
yes you are right about Mitch and Lucy. They do need some alonetime too and well they do want to have kids some day.
Good ideas about Miss Ellie and what kind of activities she could do with her grandkids. There's definitely some more moments with her and the kids coming up...but right now she's still recoupering from the failed visit at the movies!

Silvie, I'm glad that you love Lucy & Mitch too. :)

Okay I'll post another update in the next post. Might not be about your favorite characters but something that some of you have been waiting for is coming tomorrow night...
