When asked in the 1970's if the Beatles would ever reform, Paul McCartney
used to say, "you can't reheat a souffle"...
in other words you can try to
meet up & be friends again, but it never really works... :(

Met with a friend I hadn't seen for ages tonight - it was good to see him.
Kind of knew the reason (guessed) - he has split with his wife of 10 years.

The marital split has seen him contact folks he hasn't seen for a while,
and he is enjoying his new lease of freedom - he seems genuinely happy :)
...it just seems that as cheery, witty friendly as you are - once you haven't seen
old friends for ages - it's never really the same ( "can't reheat a souffle" )

It's why I keep in touch regularly (and not vanish like he did when married)
    - never feel it really works when things were left to drift apart... I'll keep
in touch, but it's a shame - NEVER quite the same sometimes is it ? :(

(sorry Greggy is being meloncholy here... I'll be back to comedy a.s.a.p )
