    Hi,

You may notice there are thanks and groans attached to each post. It's a bit like cheers and boo

    Use it wisely.

I have always felt that karma should be personal and for your eyes only
I have only given -ve karma once to a very annoying poster who wound everyone up - but I dont think its fair to let people see how posters dish it out.

Mickey, I'd never groan at you. ;) I'll just have to keep Julie Andrews out of any conversations in a BF thread.

I agree with Barbara Fan. Even if you get an annoying poster that said poster should be the only one to see their bad karma rather than the world and his wife.

We need to be able to see all of our thanks' and groans' in one place, like with the karma, we can to to settings and see who left us karma, all in one place, but with thanks and groans, we can only see who left it if we're perusing threads.

Well the idea behind thanks is that, to say thanks instead of posting thanks. How many threads do we have with just 'Thanks' as a response. Groan is just for fun, its not serious.

You should do an "eye-roll' as an in-between for thanks and groan, lol

But you're right, about the post with just thanks in them, that will cut down on that ever evil
bandwidth thingy we have to watch out for, :p!!!!

So there's no common place to see thanks and groans, other than threads?

    More like 'groan off'.

And let's face it--some people can turn anything into a competition! It's a cute little option, though, and if it can do anything to cut down on "thanks for posting" non-response responses, then I'm all for it.

Yeah, I like your idea about that. It seems more organized. Plus if I am thanking the same few people all the time, it will look stalkerish!
