hey guys & gals i just this week started watching 'The X-Files" tv show again. it's been awhile since i last watched it. right now i'm currently watching "Tooms" which is easily one of season 1's. BEST episodes. & since i'm on Season 1 right now. other than certain episodes the season is pretty weak compared to Season 2.

now before ya attack me i'm NOT saying it's a terrible season cause it's NOT! though it is nice to see 2 "Twin Peaks' stars in the same season "Michael Horse' & "Don Davis" to VERY good actors. i actually did look for a thread for this, but
i think it already was closed. oh well ya know?

so far here's my low down. well ratings i mean.

    episodes

    1. classic.
    2. 2. classic
    3. classic.
    4. classic.
    5. Decent, it's an ok filler episode but nothing great about it.
    6. Decent. nothing great.
    7. another Decent One. been done before & better.
    8. a Decent one. a tribute to "The Thing" i'm sure. but not the best one of the season either.
    9. Decent, NOT as bad as some people say it is. but NOT great either.
    10. classic. 1st great one in a awhile.
    11. a Decent one. nothing great but nothing terrible either. the acting is superb however.
    12. Classic. i enjoy this one. though NOT the best one either. it's nice to see "Scully" jealous a bit over an ex Gf of
"Mulders" & sorry for my spelling.

    13. CLASSIC!
    14. Decent but a nice idea actually.
    15. Decent. a nice idea but it's kinda weak the story wise. not the relationship between scully & muldar. & it's great to see an ex of her's as well. but the story villian part was kinda weak.
    16. Classic. i love episodes like this, where he is on actual FBI cases just like any other show. well instead of doing well an X-file. with him working with other agents, instead of it being the 2 of them like it is most of the time.
    17,. E.B.E. "CLASSIC"
    18. Decent. not a great one. but it's got it's moments.
    19. Decent. not a great one but it's also got it's moments. though it's mostly been done before. some of felt original.
    20. "Tooms" which is the one i'm on NOW. that's a CLASSIC indeed. i just lOVE this episode.

by the way i didn't put the name of the episodes cause i was just to tired to do it from work. that's all. more to come soon.

22, Born Again. another Decent filler episode. it's got it's moments as well. i love seeing "Maggie Wheeler" who later that year played "Janice" on "Friends" for the 1st time & garned some fame for a number of years by it. she played i think a believable cop. but wasn't in it enough. i think i may have missed an episode but i guess i'm just to lazy to go through to see which one i missed. he he.

sorry about that. next up "Roland"

"Roland' a CLASSIC episode. the actor who played him is a great actor. i can't spell or even pronounce his name! but normally he plays the villian. & he played a mentally challenged role SOO damn well! & than episode #23. the season one finale. CLASSIC X-files.

though they i think killed off "Deep Throat" too soon in the show. next up episode #24 in season two!

well here's season 2 so far. episode #24 "Little Green Men" it's a pretty weak episode actually. & it's really a bummer cause they did that outstanding season 1 finale. #25. "The Host" a better episode to be fair. but it just feels that it's been done before. perhaps cause it reminds me of that "Buffy" episode from season 3 i think it was? where the swimming team turning into fish or something along the lines of that.

i realize that was written after this episode was written but personally i think that episode is actually better than this one.
anyways. #26. Blood" a ok episode i think i've watched to many sci-fi shows cuz it feels like it's been done before. now to be fair i dunno who did it 1st or not? hell "The X-files" may even have done it 1st. i honestly dunno but this one feels like another show did something similar. #27. "Sleepless" prolly the 1st REAL good episode this season offers. i

am a huge "Tony Todd" fan & i just love "Jon Gries" in it as well. i've been a fan of his prolly going back to "The Monster Squad" in (1987) so in short "Classic" #28. "Duane Barry" in short "Classic. #29 "Ascension" part 2. i kept the 1st part short cause it's a 2 parter. this was pretty much the start of "Scully"s journey at being abducted my aliens? & one wonders that if "Gillian Anderson"

hadn't got knocked uP in the 1st place. which is why this story line was written in the 1st place. to pretty much let her know she's part of the show still. & to work around it pretty much. but since it pretty much took over the rest of the series. one wonders what the show i mean what route it would have gone it otherwise?

either way, if they would have thought something along the lines of it. this is where the show really starts to get good. & gets better than Season 1. though the downside is the episode #30 "3" which is pretty much a "Mulder" episode which i have no problem with.

& i like that the went on kind of a dark path. but it's easily the worst episode of season 2. i mean yea it's got it's moments but him latching onto a suspect is just so out of character of him. & it pretty much says he sleeps with her. which is not something he would normally do with someone who's wanted for questioning by the cops or the FBI!

but i do like the darkness of the episode to be fair. anyways episode #31. "The Breath" easily the BEST episode so far of this season.
though at the end when he gives the cross back to scully i think the peeps who ran the show should have had him wearing it instead of taking it from his pocket. showing how much he cares for her. since he was wearing it in a previous episode which i think was a great touch. it was also the 1st episode where "Skinner" was a badass

next up Episode #32. "Firewalker" while NOT one of my favorites it is a classic episode. it has it's moments. this is another one that
feels like it's been done else where before. or at least something along the lines of it. good guest cast as well.

anyways what do you peeps think of these episodes?

#33. "Red Museum" this is a pretty good episode actually. at first i thought it was the episode where the town eat people but that i guess is in another season. he he, #34. Excelsis Dei, this isn't one of my favorite episodes but it's an ok episode. #35. "Aubrey"

this is actually a pretty good episode. & if you have never seen it before, you will get a good shocker ending. it's a good little mystery episode. this is one episode that half the time if i don't see it for a long time i forget who the killer actually is. & that's i think a good thing. unfortunally i remembered this time. but to be fair. i wasn't 100% sure.

anyways next one is #36 "Irresistible' this is a classic episode that is one of those great creepy episodes they are so good at.
#37. Die Hand Die Vernletzt" Not one of my favorite episode that really has no resolution at the end. you are left wondering if that evil bitch was evil at all. or if it was the teachers? still it's great to see "Bull Dog" in a role like this.

#38. "Fresh Bones" this is a decent episode, it even has a WTF moment at the end. where you find out the little boy is a... well if you haven't seen it you'll see what i mean. "Colony" A Classic episode. & we have "David D." co-write his 1st episode as well. anyways

#39 "End Game" another great episode the 2nd half of the previous episode. #40 "Fearful Symentry" a pretty good episode it kinda reminds me a little of the "Buffy" episode from Season 1 where Xander gets possessed by that evil hyena. but though that episode is i think the worst one out of the entire series. this one thankfully is a LOT better of an episode.

#41 "Dod Kalm" a pretty good little ghost story episode. a decent one. #42 "Humbug" a Classic Episode that kinda reminds me of the film "Freaks" from (1932) where they smartly write the freaks as normal human beings rather than well freaks. like some shows or movies often do. plus they have a little comedy in it as well which also helps the episode a LOT! as well.

anyways that was the last one i watched, does anyone else have any comments on any of these episodes so far?

#44 "The Calusari" this actually is a pretty good one. an exorcist episode pretty much. but with a twist. where a young boy's twin dies as a still birth. & his soul still lingers within the boy who well lived. but the twin brother who died is evil! classic episode indeed.
anyways next up. #45. F.Emasculta" this is easily one of my favorite episode with "Charles Martin Smith" as a guest star.

it's kinda got a twist as well where they split up the leads for a change. we have "Muldar" going after the villians & Scully in lockdown. when in most episodes it's normally the both of them being locked in. next up. #46. "Soft Light" a Classic episode as well. with as i call him "MONK" i just love his hair in this episode.

#47. "Our Town" another Classic episode. this was the episode i was thinking of in the other episode i mentioned earlyier in season 2.
i had the right season at least. so that's a plus at least. episode #48 "Anasazi there is nothing but to say a classic episode with a great cliff-hanger. upon watching this episode it felt to me that THIS is the episode where "CSM" truly became one of the shows vilians. he really didn't become one until this one it feels like to me. but he was starting to in season 2.

Season 3 Episode #49 'The Blessing Way" part 2 of the finale i guess you call it. even though it's the 1st episode in season 3.
another great episode where we have "Scully's Sister get killed" actually i think they killed her off too soon. another thing they kinda leave out of the show after the 1st season is the mention of her God Son i believe.

anyways Episode #50. Paper Clip" another great episode where we learn a few things as well. #51 "D.P.O" a pretty good episode actually. a young "Jack Black" is in it. i'd say who plays the lead as in the villian. but i can't spell his name. he he.
anyways upon watching this episode which season 3 i think was the season i started to watch the show as it was orignally on.
or it may have been during season 2 i forget which. anyways, "jack Black" honestly looks so damn thin in this episode.
his hair style is different as well it's longer than it normally is i gues you could say.

& his face is also thinner a bit. so he wasn't always the fat guy. anyways, #52, "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose' this is EASILY one of my favorites of the entire series. i just love "Muldar" in this episode where's he's the skeptic at first. but later isn't. & it's easily one of "Peter Boyle's" BEST acting gigs. i'm currently on 'Episode #53 "The List" so no comment on that one just yet.
