Don't want to sit this round out too. My mom broke her arm, so I am busier than ever these days, having to do her chores as well as my own, and work and study. Needless to say, I could not prioritize listening to new songs. :(:(:( But I want to join in - so I'll vote for my favorites of what I have already heard before.

I'm going to hang on a couple of days in hope that Jessie will log in and vote.

Meanwhile, I'll give this another spin on the turntable

What's the next theme? Maybe it's a difficult one and we need some extra time to prepare.

20 Songs recorded by famous people who're not famous for being singers? e.g. actors, sportsmen/women, footballers, soap stars

That is indeed a very difficult theme.
In the case of actors it can be a grey area when there's an obvious (albeit unsuccessful) attempt for a singing career.

Movie soundtracks and musicals...sometimes it's incidental and obscure, sometimes not. I mean, you have to sing in a musical.

We had quite a few of those novelty singles in Holland: footballer, weatherman, politician etc - but these were mostly very tacky and gimmicky.

The best way to approach this is probably going by what made them famous. If they became famous for making music, singing songs then it's a no-go.

It will likely emerge with novelty songs, but sometimes those are not only comical but can be quite catchy and then there is that "Hell, I had no idea Al Corley released a song" moments.

Also if someone nominates a song that another member says they are famous for singing before anything else, we need to take into consideration what made them famous in the country the member is nominating from.
