Nobody wants to talk about Alexis.
Why is that?
I wish Soapchat would introduce an "ouch" icon because that comment is worthy of one.
Perhaps a dedicated thread Willie? I remember the fun Soapchaters had in guessing who might be the new Alexis but the announcement of Nicolette Sheridan was a let down. Perhaps I expected this Alexis to be like Dame Joan's portrayal, cold...why is she back in Denver?...oops Atlanta. This Alexis is something akin to one of those Housewives of....take your pick of any American city. This version is white trailer trash, not an ounce of class.
And yet the only thing NuDynasty doesn't have is Eskimos.
The producers actually suggested an Eskimo family living on the estate, part of a well-planned, multi-season plotline.
Unfortunately, Esther Shapiro said she just wasn't Inuit. [/rim shot]
When Hell freezes over?
There's no doubt to me that regardless of this version's Alexis leaning more toward trailer trash, there still needs to be an added edge to her and I'd like to see more naturally dramatic scenes and less forced campy scenes. Regardless of its camp elements, original Dynasty was still a drama and IMO, the only time NuDynasty still feels like a drama is in the last few minutes of each episode.
Original Dynasty was played by established actors with a sense of serious, despite the campness of the scripts. I think that's the difference between original Dynasty and this version. The viewer went along for the ride with the original because what the actors were presenting they believed in. This version is being played by amateurs with the notion the scripts are seriously crap.
Dynasty - Season 2 - Michael Masini to Recur
Broadway World have revealed that Michael Masini will be appearing on Season 2 of Dynasty.
The actor will recur on Season 2 as Keith Hayes who runs secret high-end casino nights and "gets caught in between a major scandal".
My own note on this casting: I require nudity, Mr. Masini. Lots and lots of it!
So. we get Kirby, the real Cristal, the Van Kirks, Nick Toscanni, Keith Hayes and the tattood babysitter/kidnap guy.
That's a lot of new storylines. Are Blake and Alexis still in it?
And wy doesn't Masini play Nick Toscanni? He looks like a sexy soap doctor.
Yes, the real Blake and Alexis will be introduced at the end of season 2. You heard it here first.
So are we to infer that Steven will trade his drug addiction for a gambling addiction? With this guy involved, too bad it isn't a sex addiction.
Or were they just a figment of Claudia's imagination
I mean, seriously. What are the odds?
Why does Steven always have to be addicted to something? I mean, is this the only way the writers could give him any sort of character development or even make him remotely interesting?
I still think the writers are tackling way more than they're prepared to handle.
After viewing the first season I wouldn't care if these two went up in flames along with fake Cristal...I'm only interested if the Carrington dog returns
Sexy casino guy - thanks!!
