Nathalie out, Nicollette in!
First Friday without new episode.
Random prediction for the outcome of Steven and Melissa's baby:
Steven of course comes clean with Sam, who's none too pleased about the situation, but tries to make the best of things. Naturally, Melissa keeps throwing it in Sam's face that she's about to have a baby with Steven, manipulating his time into helping her with all the "necessary preparations," while the rest of the family gets worked up over a possible custody battle... and then...
...enter Kirby, who's been watching quietly this whole time. She approaches Sam, and tells him, "You did a nice thing for me by inviting me to the wedding. Now I'm going to do something nice for you."
Sam is quick to tell her she doesn't need to do *anything*, but Kirby just smiles and goes her way.
Then one evening, when a very pregnant Melissa is out somewhere, possibly at a museum or an opera or someplace with a large grand staircase (heck, even the Carrington mansion will do). She's approaching the top of the stairs to make a descent...
...and then from out of the shadows, Kirby materializes, and gives an almighty shove at Melissa's back.
With a scream, Melissa goes hurtling the down the stairs, the camera cutting back and forth between her pregnant body falling and close-ups of Kirby's face, who watches the other woman with an intense enjoyment.
Melissa lands at the base in an unconscious heap, and Kirby calmly starts to walk away...
...and then Steven and Sam enter the room. Steven panics and rushes to Melissa's side, dialing 911 on his cell. Sam kneels by, not sure what to do...
...until he looks up, and from a doorway, sees Kirby leering down at him. He receives a text, which says,
(And yes, this is also partly inspired by the scene in the original show where Steven and Sammy Jo find Blake unconscious and SJ looks up to see Rita watching from the doorway above. )
Ha! So nothing random about this prediction. What's the predicted outcome for the baby though?
Too lazy to think of one.
The joke of course is to say she has a "bouncing baby boy/girl"....
The "stair-carriage" is a popular soap opera trope, and @Willie Oleson has already expressed his wish (need!) for a staircase moment similar to this. I just imagine these writers are more apt to do something more...out of the ordinary? Melissa Daniels might be a character brought in to play out selected Dynasty plotlines from the original that the current characters can't play, so her potential could be tied to which stories the writers want to re-do.
Sounds like a box of bonbons
What's all that hard, coloured stuff doing on the bonbons?
Ummm... you mean the sprinkles?
In all honesty, Empire pretty much did what Ked is asking for with Rhonda and Anika in the season 2 mid-season finale. I very much doubt they'd do something like that, but I don't think Melissa's baby will be in any peril. Maybe Steven will be presumed dead after the fire and Blake will let her move into the mansion or something for her pregnancy.
Did they? I never watched Empire, so I wouldn't know.
Yeah, it worked out so well when he did that with Claudia.
What I am most excited about is the unveiling of Alexis' penthouse. She cant live in a burnt down art studio, but where does she get her millions from?
Well, she could live in a rearranged set of the "burnt down" art studio....
Oh no... she'll move back into the mansion...
...hmm, but then again, Alexis said she owned the deed to the property, did she not (correct me if I'm wrong)? Maybe she'll have a new living quarters built in its place?
I would assume a mega-mansion like that would have guest cottages on the grounds in addition to guest rooms in the mansion. But while Cristal is recovering in the hospital I would imagine Alexis would be doing everything in her power to install herself as the Lady of the Manor, in deeds if not in name. Fallon would be too busy to push her mother out. They can say Alexis is staying in the guest cottage or pool house or whatever they call it (guest mansion?) but she will be hanging around the mansion all the time regardless, just as she did when she was living in Michael's old quarters.
It's too soon for Alexis to leave the mansion. Also, she have to inherit millions from some man to be able to pay her a fabulous penthouse.
Knowing this show and soap operas in general... Steven is not going to tell Sam about Melissa having his baby and eventually when Sammy Jo does find out it's going to cause a serious rift in their new marriage - enter Ted to comfort Sammy Jo.
Assuming Michael does survive, he will definitely be in a love triangle with Liam & Fallon and maybe Kori will come back to date him again. If Cristal dies, I can easily see Alexis try to win Blake back and maybe she'll succeed... unless Cristal's "death" isn't as permanent as they would like us to believe.
