    Sex/sexy songs
Songs about an emotion (laugh, cry, worry, panic)
Songs by children (pop songs, not nursery rhymes)

Song with the word "....." in the title. We could do it again.

We've done soundtracks, but most of that was focused on movie soundtracks. How about 20 TV series soundtrack songs?

I'm nicking this from the Cher Dancing Queen thread

We did a top ten of Bowie songs too.

I love the idea of doing one for ABBA

Then I tried to think of other big names to see who else we could do. I don't know if there is enough for the likes of Madonna, Queen, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Prince, Elton John...

Then I thought about doing decades. We could do best covers from 60s, 70s etc...

Bee Gees is a good one. I don't know enough of Rolling Stones songs, but if there's enough I'm game for that too.

Do you mean covers released in those decades, or covers of 60s/70s etc hits (released in another decade)

    (1992)

I mean covers of songs from that particular decade. The cover can happen in any decade, so that fab cover of Phantom Bride would be used in the 80s cover songs thread.

I've just finished this and it's brilliant. One of my favourite Erasure songs and I love what they've done with it, especially the chorus.

Maybe we could add Lenny Kravitz to the list.

I have been thinking about this.......and I have a few suggestions if they haven't been done yet?

    Celine vs. Cher
    Aretha vs. Barbara Streisand
The Rolling Stones vs. The Who
    Bon Jovi vs VanHalen
Bob Dylan vs. Neil Young......I don't think anyone on here likes their music though?

I knew I should have written them all down. :craz:

My mind is a terrible thing these days. I will add more as I remember them.

Personally I think the "versus" top 10s work best for artists with relatively limited discographies e.g. Visage vs. The Buggles.
Doing two artists at the same time, both a with a massive music catalogue, would be a little too time-consuming for me.

And there's still so very many famous artists who deserve their own top 10 (Hot Chocolate, 10cc...have we done Marc Almond yet?)

Brilliant songwriters, but not the greatest performers (imho)

Maybe we could add Mandy Barnett to the list for some point in the future. I don't think we've covered her yet.

Well..........I am just going to keep posting battles as they come into my head......whether they are done or not doesn't really matter to me these are just suggestions. For me this is all for fun and to get to listen to new music I have near heard and getting to hear old songs that I had forgotten about.

So if you don't have any objections @Willie Oleson :lmao:

    Lady Gaga vs. Pink
    Phil Collins vs. Peter Gabriel
both went solo from the band Genesis
    Prince vs. George Michael

I am not a huge fan of female artists but there are a few I like.
