What 5 current TV series are your favorites? I am trying to decide what series I will give a shot, but I am lost. There are so many to choose from!

So... can you list 5 series that are not cancelled (not necessarily airing this month, but currently either airing or in production for next season)?

    1. American Horror Story
In my opinion, it's the best TV Land has to offer these days. It's AbFab meets Quentin Tarantino, and it just gets better and better.
The story usually moves beyond its momentum, especially the "Hotel" series, it's almost as if the writers are addicted to their own show - and that's something I can't dislike.

Very difficult to describe this series, it only makes sense if you watch it. I've never seen anything like this before, at least not as a tv series.

    3. Klem (translation: Cornered) - Season 2 in production

I can't even remember the last time I've watched a Dutch tv series, I usually find Dutch drama too pretentious, too fake and too annoying.
So this was a very nice surprise.
A taxman gets involved with a criminal, just released from prison. It's not really about the crime or supsense, it's more about the impossible situation, hence the title.

    4. Versailles
    upload_2017-10-27_23-58-17.png
It's what I thought it would be (Disney For Adults) and I like it very much.

    5. Dynasty
    Not this one....
    upload_2017-10-28_0-1-21.png I mean this one.... upload_2017-10-28_0-1-49.png
It's a facinating concept, and they have a lot to play with.
I think it's still finding its groove, they haven't "nailed it!" yet. But those 40 minutes seem like only 5 minutes, and that's always a good sign.

The Deuce should be in this top 5, but I haven't watched any episodes yet and since I don't subscribe to HBO I think it's going to be a DVD watch.

    Also on the to-watch-list:

    Black Mirror
    The Affair
    Grand Hotel
    Peaky Blinders
    Velvet
    Greenleaf
    Gomorrah
    The Killing

And I need to watch more episodes of "Vera" and "Sherlock".

    That's all!

    Better Call Saul

I never cared too much for Breaking Bad but this really grew on me. Michael McKean is just brilliant.

    The Deuce

    What a time!

And if we were talking about this two months ago then Twin Peaks would have been at the top of my list.

    I want it so bad.
I've watched the first season, didn't know what to think of it. It has elements of "Brotherhood" and "Banshee", but the concept wasn't strong enough to encourage me to watch the next season. Or maybe it wasn't shocking enough.
Which reminds me that I still have to watch Banshee's season 3 and 4.

    It'll be worth the wait!

Actually it's being released in two days...

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Good-Fight-Season-DVD/dp/B074WMP7KL

    Seemingly no Blu-Ray though.

Season 1 is a distant memory but it does move away a bit from the fixer element which I thought was a shame. However, it's the family dynamic that I love.

Banshee was a show I took an immediate dislike to and I'm usually all for giving shows a chance.

I had no idea, thanks! It's pricey for only 10 episodes...netflix has The Good Wife...maybe this one too?
And there's nothing that could have changed that because it only gets worse - or better, depending on one's point of view.

The Americans, The Good Fight, nuDynasty and Stranger Things are added to my to-watch list.
And of course Twin Peaks. I've yet to look through all episodes of the original series. I am currently wondering who Windom Earl is, and what happened to Little Nicky. :D

I'd advise you to watch Fire Walk With Me as well, if you haven't done that already. It's quite important for the new season and actually not that bad.

The only shows still in production that I really enjoy are:

    1. Fuller House (on netflix)
I loved Full House and the spin-off stays true to the original so I love it too. :)

    2. Victoria
The first season was broadcast on TV4 this summer. It was a period drama about Queen Victoria. Jenna Coleman plays the title role.
