Do you feel there is anyone who portrayed a true life character in a movie better than anyone else? True life movies are amongst my favourites and I've taken a real liking to some of John Travolta's work in later years having most recently seen him in Gotti.

With so many true life tales being portayed nowadays, who do you rate the highest? And why?

Some of my favourites are listed below as well as some other choices. I felt that Saoirse Ronan was the wrong choice to play Mary Queen of Scots although I enjoyed the movie and likewise Margot Robbie's portrayal of Elizabeth 1 was bizarre and frightening (but I think that Queen was like that!) Also I didn't feel Cuba Gooding Jr was right for the part of OJ Simpson.

Let us know what you think! (Feel free to include series' such as OJ Simpson, Murder of Gianni Versace etc)

Meryl Streep is one of my favourite actresses, so she's top for me but I was also very impressed with Helen Mirren in The Queen.

While I love Meryl Streep, I think Helen Mirren is, in my opinion, the best in this category. When the person you portrayed invites you so they can meet you, that is high compliment on your performance. Plus (no reflection on Streep, just the writers) I thought portraying such a world-influencer as Thatcher in the years of her declining mental health was in poor taste.
