Is this going to be on the TV?

I don't normally care much about award shows, but with Corrie being at its best in a long time, I hope it gets a few wins.

Although Corrie has gotten better in recent months, looking back over the whole year, I think Emmerdale has consistently been the best UK soap.

I dont feel I can vote as 2017 was the year I tuned out of Corrie as it was far fetched and I dont watch any other soap

but Rana!!!! best actress- seriously???? Are they having a laugh???? her sooty and sweep tears have me reaching for FWD!

based on what I have seen this year I would say Jack P Shephard for best actor.

Her acting this past couple of months has been fantastic and she's created many more layers to the character. I've gone from liking Rana to absolutely loving her. I hope she wins this award.

The greatest Soap moment will surely go to EastEnders and Kat and Zoe.

My heart will be with EastEnders, but will probably only get a couple of awards:-

    Best Newcomer: Lorraine Stanley

    Greatest Soap Moment.

    Both deserved imo.

Id vote for Richard Hillman driving the Platts into the canal

I always remember the Wannadies were playing on the radio and I thought that was kinda cool!

Does anyone know if Linda Gray is nominated for anything?

I'm asking because I think it was last year she first showed up on Hollyoaks.

    That would be a no.

These award shows tend to concentrate on main characters and not recurring or guest stars, they also focus on major storylines.

Okay thanks. I won't bother voting then. I would have if Linda had been nominated for anything. ;)

Corrie & Hollyoaks did really well tonight, though I would have given best soap actress to Anna Passey over Lucy Fallon.

As for Eastenders, don't they have any other characters besides Max and Stacey? They seemed to be in nearly all the categories.

I haven't watched Eastenders since they brought Alfie Moon back all those years ago, but seeing a clip with Lorraine Stanley was very tempting.

I honestly thought Eastenders was going to win the greatest Soap moment.

I thought they got the awards about right apart from the soap moment that certainly should have gone to EE. Nice all soaps came away with something. Lorraine Stanley is excellent Ome and she deserved best newcomer, although she is not a newcomer really, she has been in the business a good few years.

I saw this on another soap forum and it did make me smile:-

I had read a couple of articles on the character and it wasn't until last night that I saw some of her in action, I'm going to check her out on YT. From what little I saw, she's one of my ideal characters in a soap.
