There's been some terrible writing this week. Neil, a corrupt copper says to Craig "Bethany told you I had been to some of Nathan's parties" sure, yeah that did happen, but I doubt a corrupt cop would easily give out that information, before he knew what Craig actually knew.

Aidan - Why can't he just say to Eva, "there's no more money in the pot", it's a really easy thing to say, but no he has to stand there like a lame duck pulling faces as he tries to think of something to say.

Just what is going on with Yasmeen and her 'call in centre'? She's not qualified to do start something like this - is she?

Also why are they making Liz to be completely stupid in her job? She must have something about her if she was able to run a pub.

I wish they would write it more naturally, why does David have to see Shona as soon as she came back to the street? Why do characters have to keep bumping into each other on the street when it suits?

I laughed at Gemma's tee-shirt - Kylie dead but not forgot

I found the Eva/Adam story ridiculous...first off, who gets tipsy after 2 sips of wine? Who gives up wine to put the kettle on?! Very contrived in the buildup to Adam arriving.

Then Adam knows straight away that Eva isn't pregnant because of the wine glasses. Ok pregnant women for the most part don't drink but a couple of sips isn't usually enough to tip someone off that the woman isn't pregnant.

Then he meets Eva in the ginnell and rather than just say he will team up with her, Eva tells more lies so he won't say anything. So there isn't really any need for the wine scene - it could have been wrapped up the first time. This leads to him meeting her again later on to say what could have been said the first time. For the first time in ages I thought this is really poor writing in Corrie.

Also not buying the lack of evidence against Neil and that Bethany and Shonas statements haven't been enough. Why is it taking Lara to come forward before other girls might?? Again dragging it out.

I can't remember, did you watch the THREE GIRLS drama about the Rochdale sex ring? that took about 8 years to come out.

Not that I have seen last night's episodes yet, so I could be talking crap again...:D

Sarah isn't a very good mother (or even friend) to Bethany, is she?

She seems quite distraught at what her daughter has endured during this grooming story and also hellbent on trying to find someone who would help to convict Nathan.

But where she is failing miserably is her support to Bethany. Nearly every scene we see with Bethany she is alone and then other characters (Mary, Craig, Gemma) appear to give hope and support. I would have thought any loving parent wouldn't let their child out of their sight if they had suffered like Bethany has. Why isn't Sarah by Bethany's side?

I got the impression Nicola was a strong driven character. She knows what she wants and she deals with it. So when she said to Pat that she didn't want any more contact with him, why did she go to the rovers for at least 6 hours? I say six hours, it was pitch black outside and she saw Pat while he was at work, so I'm assuming that was 4pm or before.

I like Brian because he's a nuisance to everyone, but this story as a litter enforcer really is hitting the bottom of a barrel.

I really wish Craig would stop pestering Bethany. He should concentrate on directing the traffic or whatever he's supposed to be doing.

I've only just got caught up with Friday's show.

I'm unsure what I feel about Peter & Toyah taking over. It seemed so final to watch Liz & Steve leave the pub. I must admit that I like it when Corrie has a big change over at the Rovers, but it usually meets with little success. Stella was such a let down.

I can't see Toyah as a landlady, so this will be interesting. As for Peter, I really don't find anything appealing about the idea of an alcoholic running a pub, I hope this doesn't mean we are going to see scene after scene of Peter fighting his addiction.

Personally I would have loved to see Pat & Eileen in charge.

I can't stand Toyah. Her and Leanne together - have never liked that actress, think she's very dull. Why would an alcoholic run a pub??

I do love Brian, he's so funny. I do agree that a lot of the writing lately has been a bit unbelievable. I wish every 18 year old could walk into a police station and solve crimes - oh the world would be a better place!

Liz clearly doesn't have the wit to be a medical receptionist - smoking right outside the surgery is just ridiculous for the first face people will see. Just a really daft move to have her in that job.

Continuing to find it odd how quickly Steve and Michelle have got over each other, and Eileen's expanding house of limitless bedrooms and space continues to grow!

Ooh, you're so hard to please Sarah. First you mentioned it was dragging and then when it looks like we're near the end you find fault in how it's done...

But that said, I agree it was quite far-fetched. I doubt a real corrupt officer involved in the crimes Neil was, would easily give in to an 18 year old rookie.

I thought the two episodes were utterly ridiculous, but i did enjoy them. The scenes with Todd and summer were my favourite part. Norris and Mary a tad ott but funny. I wanted to punch Gemma.

I did smile at Beth's mention of Friends in the Cafe with Roy. Any Friends fans will have enjoyed and got it straight away. Marcel the monkey. I think the script writers must be channeling their inner Friends, they need to channel their inner Bing to be truly amusing. On the subject of friends, I just loved Janice.

Normally it's Mary who makes me laugh out loud and she still did that last night, but it was Norris in that costume that really got me. His facial expressions were brilliant.

I think I figured why I'm not getting Toyah as the landlady - she's too young, far too young. It needs to be someone much older in charge.

Gemma is too OTT for me now. I was glad Sinead through her out. I loved the scenes with Mary and Norris but agree that Toyah is utterly unbelievable as a landlady. Leanne continues to grate on my nerves - didn't take her long to get over Nick and I just hate her attitude. Stomping about all over the place. Pain in the hoo ha right @Mo Mouse ?

I like Gemma, I really do - but last night was far too much for me. Not just the shouting about compensation, but taking all the chocolates.

I'll give the actress some credit - she certainly knows how to pull a muggy face.
