I think that Richard Hawley has been fantastic this week and really well acted as a man grieving for his son

I have always liked him since I first saw him in one of my fav Police dramas Prime Suspect as a DS with Jane Tennyson aka Helen (gets her kit off) Mirren and was really pleased when he showed up on Corrie

I have a feeling he is going to find himself in the arms of Man eater Liz! Guess I will need to watch this space!

As someone who has suffered from depression and had a nervous breakdown in 2016, I like the suicide storyline (I just wish they would space heart wrenching storylines out mire is all) but what Aiden has suffered I can most definitely relate to.

My heart breaks for Johnny, I can't imagine what it must be like to live through what he's going through. Though I'm also very sad for Jenny, Johnny is treating her in a similar way he treated Aidan when Aidan lost the company and his home. Johnny practically threw Aidan out on his ass and now I'm seeing a similar pattern with Jenny. I realise he's reacting this way over what's happened, and hope that he sees this before it's too late for him and Jenny. Sally Ann Mathews is playing Jenny so tragically and even though she wasn't close to Aidan or even cared much about him, she's still someone who is suffering the loss and now taking abuse from Johnny.

It's a real treat to have someone like Flora on the cobbles, she's hilarious when it comes to Adam and Chanelle Sinead, I'm also hoping that her two friends will become part of the Rovers fixture. This show desperately needs a trio of pensioners who appear bitter one minute and two-faced another.

I also enjoyed Flora and her chums and like how she has taken an instant dislike to Sinus Chanelle / Sinead so she isnt that cognitively impaired!

Wonder what will happen to the factory?!

I read an article a few months back that Kate Oates had been looking for a new Blanche, I wonder if Flora was who she had in mind.

Either way, I hope her and her pals do become regular characters.

Flora and her two biddies asking for Milk stout was brilliant. I love Flora, she has seen through Chanelle. :laughs:

It's a wonder Michelle can keep up with her kids, they keep changing faces every time they have a few years off.

I liked Zeedan's exit, if that was his exit. The way things have been going on Corrie lately, everyone's exit tends to be quite dramatic and it's been a while since we saw someone leave in the back of a taxi. I think it sums up the character who has been pretty boring up until he found out about Rana and Kate.

It's looking like we're in for another big week on the cobbles next week and with it airing after 9pm, I wonder if they might take it a little further than they usually do.

Ryan Prescott made a good start as the new Ryan Connor. Not sure if he is making a fleeting visit or staying longer. A good choice imo to cast as Ryan. A good actor who has done theatre, film and tv. Many will remember him from Emmerdale and more recently Doctors.

that was wonderful - had a little tear in my eye, brings back memories of the Dallas set in 1983 too and just being so over whelmed by it all

    A+ Corrie!

    watched it last night

Yasmin / Yasmeen Nazeer has to be one of the WORST (really bad!!) actresses on the show and exit for Zeedan unbelievable - like why would you ditch your brand new restaurant?? But i guess everyone in Corrie has the Money tree at the bottom of the garden so they can live without worrying about bills and eating out every day and a new out fit in every scene

I also see that Bouncing Billy has thrown away his stick and no limp now.

Hope potato face (as Victoria wood would say) Faye gets her come uppance, wee horror

Sebs mum is growing on me and that was some recovery from a heart attack re Robert! there must be a bed on Weathy general dedicated to the residents.

I have very little memory of Michelles real, and other son from back in the day! other than one had poser hair!

Loved the scenes in the Rovers for the stag do. Thought Ryan and Daniel were funny.

    CS BGT WEEK

Lets hope it gets better as the week goes on, it is over hyped. Best bit Ryan. [IMG]

It was an easy watch and a bit of light relief fun. Lets not pretend it was high drama. It was crap, but enjoyable crap.

I thought it was a really busy episode

David telling Shona he’s going to report Josh
Dec turning up and Josh seeing him
    Ryan going missing
Finding Ryan and Robert gets punched
Gemma & Rosie plotting to get revenge on Rosie’s ex-boyfriend
David asking Emma to move out
    Johnny bonding with Peter
    Gary stalking Phelan
    Gary kidnapping Phelan
    Sarah finds Phelan
    Micelle talks about herself
Tracey turns up under the covers
Tracey fails to make Steve Jealous

And yet not much happened, leaving me to think they are setting it up for an almighty finish on Friday, I hope it lives up to the hype.

Well there was a lot of melodrama last tonight, most of it laughable but very watchable. I did smile at Ryan's remarks to Carla and Ali and was amused when Carla hit Ryan across the head.

That was a great and very welcome surprise to see Anna back. Whether she's here for just a couple of episodes or they faked her exit and she's back for good, I'm just happy that she will be part of Phelan's exit.

It's funny, because I have always thought Phelan was a great baddie, albeit a camp cartoon version of a baddie, but this past week it seems like they've really hammed the character up.

This week's Corrie has been a mix of daft (Rosie) OTT (Michelle) camp (Phelan) brilliant (David) and shocking (Anna's return), but above all else, it's been a fantastic climax and the perfect ending for Pat.

Now let's see what Lewis has in store for Gail.
