Oh I think it's awful. Pitiful. I'd be so bored having to play that. She's like a timid wee mouse. I love the way David calls her 'Gail' rather than mum though.

That's exactly what I love and how she gets under David's skin.

Watching her in the 80s and 90s on ITV3 shows a very different Gail, one who knows what she wants. She comes across so much stronger in character and I can see how they've reduced her to this cartoonish character, but there's just something I love about it all now.

Poor Michelle, what a horrible, horrible life she has.

First Steve cheats on her and she gets loads of money out of the divorce, then she is targetted by a drug dealer and oh, how awful it must have been for her. Then she had a stalker who locked her up in the boot of his car. Now she's finished with the one she loves because he wants to have children. I'm so happy that she has that option to move out straight away, that she doesn't have to look around or worry about anything. Even more happy that she can take Ali & Ryan with her at such short notice.

I'm also thrilled that she still doesn't have any money worries, after all, it was Steve's her money that made it possible for Robert to run a restaurant.

At least she was able to enjoy the hen party when her whole life was falling apart - again!

It's ok Ome. Take heart. She'll get another 'acting' award for her gurning. If all is well, she will soon be at the Oscars where she can delight movie greats like Meryl Streep with her tales of Hear Say.

Let me just remind you of something.

When Katherine Kelly quit Corrie, the producers wanted Becky in as many scenes and stories as possible.

When Michelle Keegan quit Corrie the producers wanted Tina is as many scenes and stories as possible.

Embrace the weeks, days, hours that Michelle will be in our faces until she leaves.

Then when she can't find any work, she will be crawling back.

I've never supported her being there as you know, despite her being able to pull off a scene or two.

But this is funny. I shall embrace it @Ome - EMBRACE IT! :D

I used to really like Michelle, but over the years they've killed the character off for me. She's constantly at the centre of attention and she's such a selfish person, she just makes me angry when I watch her.

I'm sorry I only caught up last night but WTAF?

    Michelle???

Highlighting ALL the points that @Ome made above, and to add.

2 days ago she was crazy about Robert - then she turns nasty and takes off her ring without hesitation and starts talking about what she is owed in the Bistro. Goes to a hen night and looks completely non fazed about what has just happened. I found the whole thing totally unbelievable.

I'm fast forwarding through any of her scenes later.

A very good hr long episode of Coronation St setting it up nicely for next week, i liked the ending with all the suspects. Alison King was a cut above the rest of the cast as always.

I'm disappointed to read Gina is leaving the cobbles, however, I'm glad they are not killing her off. I think she's been one of the best new characters in the past 5 years, sometimes funny and most times unpredictable in what she might do next.

Excellent. Hopefully Sally should shut up for a while now.

Meanwhile we look forward to the return of Rana’s Mum - the most wooden actress on the planet.

Tonight's disaster episodes simply put - awful, just awful.

    The buildup was even worse.

Craig couldn't get into the factory, why? Because it was locked. They agreed on a 'no one in, no one out' strategy. So how did Rana manage to get herself in without anyone seeing her and more to the point, how the hell did Izzy get out with no one seeing her?

I have to agree. My points as I watched it are:

Kate's initial reaction to Rana being trapped. What was that??? Some of the worst acting I've ever seen. If your fiancee was trapped in a dangerous building, you would be slightly hysterical, not able to have a normal conversation as though she had missed the 303 to Peckham Rye. She did however make up for it afterwards with that blood curdling scream, which actually made me cry (although I had a crappy day so it may have been that).

Agreed about Craig - he's a police officer but Kate was allowed to stroll in to the factory and her father Johnny seemed very unconcerned by the imminent danger to his child.

The two getting married while the building is collapsing was unbelievable. Even more so, Rana saying 'You look beautiful' while lying under a ton's weight of rubble.

Still, amidst the madness, it's good to know we have Michelle, who showed up and was able to make a phone call to Peter to let him know Rana had left this mortal coil two seconds before anyone else seemed to know she was dead (including Kate). We can rest in our beds tonight knowing that the award for Best Dramatic Moment, will no doubt, just like her former pop star colleague before her, go to Kym Marsh - for not actually being in the scene.

Top acting nod to Alison King as always for being an absolute (believable) wreck after the factory collapse and to Ken Barlow's hair for not moving out of place once. I did feel a bit warm and fuzzy when Peter came to her. And I am sad that Rana died. I will miss her perfectly designed red lips.

I agree Sarah. My stand out performer was Alison King, her scene in the Cafe distraught with Peter was outstanding.

My only criticism, niggle was having 2 episodes, it would have flowed better having an hour running from 7:30 to 8:30 and at the end having no music playing and just rolling the credits on the aerial shot of Underworlds and Coronation st would have been more dramatic.

It really makes me cringe when they do stunts like this. It never flows naturally and I find it brings the worst acting out in so many of the cast. I didn't see the characters stood around, I saw actors trying to express emotions and doing it really badly.

Why was none of the emergency guys seen listing anything off Rana?

    No Corrie tonight!

I know it was bad on Wednesday, but I still want to watch what happens next.
