14 seasons' worth of O-R CBS Dallas, vs. only 9 on O-R ABC Dynasty-- £80 sounds just about right in Britain for the O-R Dallas all-in-one.

It’s currently around £67 on Amazon uk. I snapped one up at the weekend.

The repackaged set has the discs in cardboard folders which can scratch the discs, just to let you know.

Thanks for that. The major plus for me is it takes up a bit less room than the previous box-set.

I will be careful to avoid scratching the discs.

I am sorely tempted to buy it off Amazon.

I have the individual boxsets of when they were brought out originally where the sets have the double sided discs in them.

I gather this new complete set has single side discs in it. Would the picture quality be any better than the boxsets that I have?

Should I buy the new complete set, even though I have the show complete from the individual releases? Advice please. :)

I debated quite a bit about whether not not buying the new boxset. I eventually decided to get it just because it is most uptodate.

I got the repackaged boxset this morning, I see what you mean about the cardboard folders, I'll see if I can get plastic sleeves for the discs to protect them.

I brought the Region 2 DVD boxset of Dallas years ago, which contains all 14 seasons (1-9 in big cases, 10-14 in small cases), a few extras, and another case containing Dallas: The Early Years, J.R. Returns, War of the Ewings and the 2004 Return to Southfork documentary.

Regarding Warner Bros, they still haven't released a Knots Landing boxset yet, nor anything beyond Seasons 1 and 2.

I finally decided to buy the new complete boxset (region 2) from Dallas, because the previous box was nowhere available, only to be bought on Ebay for a ridiculously expensive price. I just wanned this boxset as a back-up for when something happens to my individual dvd seasons. The box is quite simple but takes up less space, I am very glad that I bought it, also the quality is very good from what I have seen from the first episode. I can not wait to see all episodes again soon after my summer vacation. :)

That package art is simply hideous. It looks like one of those creepy boxes with a jumping clown puppet in the inside...

I still wish we'd get a proper blu-ray release that includes all of the deleted scenes from the original show.

That's a very nice-looking package for that R2 all-in-one of O-R CBS Dallas; it captures that aesthetic (oil, greed and money) perfectly well!

I would love to see a complete Knots Landing boxset, but i'm afraid it will never happen. :(

I agree with you about the art work, I'm not really a fan of the busy images eather, but after all, it is only about what is in the box. ;)

It is highly unlikely. Despite running for about thirteen seasons, Knots Landing was never as popular as Dallas. :(
