A long black limousine pulls up to the barricaded entrance to the Wade Ranch. Two heavy Hummers and a dozen military looking security guards block the entrance. One of the men carrying an M16 knocks on the back glass window.

It lowers. Charlotte appears. “What’s going on?”

“The Wade and Southfork Ranches have been secured ma’am. May I help you?”

“I’m here to see my niece, Jolie.”

    “Is she expecting you?”

“No. I haven’t been able to get her on the phone. Is she here.”

“I’m afraid we can’t tell you that ma’am. We can call up to the house for permission to drive you up.”

“Drive me up? My driver can’t do that?”

“No ma’am.” A man whispers in his ear. “You’ve been confirmed as Charlotte Wendell. Her Grace will all you to be exported up. Please exit your car. We have female security to pay you down. Is there anything you’re bringing with you?”

“Pat me down. Down be ridiculous. I’m not being patted down.”

“Then we will have to ask you to leave.”

“Listen to me. This is my niece’s home. I am going up there to see her.”

“Yes ma’am. Please exit the car.”

“Well as she’s answering your calls, get her on the phone.”

“I can’t do that. Besides her Grace isn’t changing protocol no matter what you say to her. Now we can see you safety up to the house or you can leave of your own free will. Or we’ll be happy to remove you from the property.”

A moving truck pulls down the Southfork Driveway followed by a limousine. Security and Lucy meets it out by the garage. Pamela sets out the back of the car and says, “Is all this necessary?”

    “Yes,” Lucy answers.

Pamela’s two sons get out from the other side of the car. Colin says, “It’s like a military base.”

Lucy adds, “They’re build a road between Southfork and the Wade Ranch. For the most part we’re confined to the property but when we leave we have security assigned to us.”

Pamela says, “I saw they’ve taken over the offices of Ewing Oil.”

“You know as well as anyone what we’re up against.” Lucy takes her arm and walks her up to the house. We’ve got security for the security.”

“And Jay’s staying on the ranch?”

“They thought it best while their working in Washington.”

    “So raising another kid.”

“Something like that. I love having him around. By the way Colin, Lucas has a bunch house for you. Apparently you wanted to stay with the ranch hands.”

    “Yes. Thank you.”

“We’ll still expect you at the main house for breakfast and dinner.”

“Well I’m sure I’ll be up long before anyone here.”

“Still, Stop what you’re doing and have breakfast with the family. That’s what John Ross does. Gets up. Has his morning meetings. Have breakfast. Then works on the ranch. No reason you can’t do the same thing.”

Pamela laughs, “Just been the three of us for a long time, not use to this sort of thing.”

“Thirty days to make a habit.” Up at the pool they see Karin swimming. “Ya’all remember Karin Lee, Amy’s cousin?”

    The three of them agree.

Pamela asks, “She still living in the guest house?”

“Yes. That’s why I couldn’t give it to you. Logan, I hope you don’t mind staying in Ray’s old place. Give you some privacy and it’s rather nice, close by.”

“No. Not at all. Thank you.”

“Then we’re all settled. Pamela, I’ve emptied out Uncle Bobby’s old room. Been wishful thinking he’s coming back to even visit.”

“Out of curiosity, where’s Ellie sleep?” Down stairs off the kitchen. It was my grandma’s dads room, then Teresa used it, and my grandmother when she moved back to Southfork and had trouble getting up stairs and then JR. She says she can fell the presences of the masters of Southfork in their. Plus it lets her come and go unnoticed. She keeps strange hours. John Ross put a runway in just for her. She might fly in, in the middle of the night.”

    “Really? From where?”

“God knows. She flies like most people drive.”

Seems like they are really afraid of that Russian guy since they've barricated the ranches and keep track of who comes and goes.

John Ross, Lucas and Colin walk in the barn, dusty, warm out and laughing. “So is ranching all you thought it’d be?”

“I gotta say, it’s a bit more work than ridding horses.”

“Sure is,” Lucas says. “I tell ya having an in house vet is gonna come in handy. Course in all your practice you never saw 500 patients in one day.”

“No and I’ve got a lot of work to do if I’m going to specialize in cattle. I was looking into Texas A and M. About a three hour drive.”

“We can fly you down there half the time, unless John Ross’s AgustaWestland then probably a third or less.”

John Ross says, “We’ll see. You went to Cornell. Can’t imagine you need much more.”

“Well it’d be a bovine specialty.”

John Ross pats him on the back. What ever you need.”

“So What was this at breakfast this morning about Ellie going to Lake Superior to check on a summer property?”

“I’ve got hunting lodge up there in a club and a neighboring property came up for sale.”

“So she’s head all the way up there to check on it.”

    “She’ll be back for dinner.”

    “She travels an awful lot.”

John Ross laughs. “That’s my girl. I’ve got a few houses she’s responsible for.”

    “A few?”

    “Like?”

“Well Southfork and the place in Northern Michigan. And a beach house near Galveston. I bought that for your mother years ago. And an island in the Caribbean Ellie found and talked me into. And your mother’s house in Switzerland where she raised you.”

    “That was yours?”

“I bought for her. I’ve never seen it.”

“What about that penthouse in New York City I saw you at when you were up like five years ago?”

“That’s a company apartment. There’s a bunch of those all over the country.”

    “Must be nice.”

“I think I’d rather just stay here. Well and hunting up in Michigan.”

Lucas says, “Yeah you’ll have to come up with us next time. The whole family goes.”

    “I can’t see Ellie hunting.”

“I said they go up, not that they hunt.”

Ellie looks over a rustic lodge in the hard woods of Northern Michigan. A man says with a heavy accent, “The house you’re looking for?”

“My father does like them rustic.”

“Very much out of the way.”

“Yes. So to business. Your people in Dagestan, payments been covered for them.”

    “By who?”

“You don’t really need to know, do you?”

    “And what are we getting?”

“The weapons are all old Soviet crap. I have a cache near by with some people who’ve up graded them. They’re part of the deal to train your people. In and out.”

    “Alright.”

She hands him a paper. “This piece of land I want access to.”

“For what? Oil industries bottomed out. Gas price is too low to keep operations up. Coal is worthless.”

“There are other minerals. I’ll put the money in the account. You put the land in your name.”

    “Yes.”

“You’ve been in contact with your counterpart in Tatarstan and Tuva?”

“Yes I have. Your country’s sewing the seeds of discontent will bear fruit in the very near future.”

“You won’t be alone. The people inside will instruct you on strategy, both for your assignment and your retirement. You and your family won’t regret it.”

Charlotte and Paul sign some papers with Vicktor. Charlotte takes them and organizes them. “That’s that. Lone Star Investments. He Ewing’s have spent decades trying to destroy the Wendell’s, framing our father, stealing West Star, now holding Jolie hostage. They’re escaped prison and gotten away with murder. Someone has to finally stop them.”

Viktor says, “And now they’re bankrupting my country with cheat natural gas for Europe. No. They need to know what it feels like to suffer.”

    “And they will.”

The Ewing’s gather in the living room. John Ross passing out prints, Lucy recounting the fight between JR and Ray where they almost burned down the house. Lucas sits and plays cards with Jolie by the window. Steven comes in with Alex and Pamela’s boys laughing about their game of pool. Karin follows laughing how they all stood around watching Steven clear the table.

Pamela is the last to enter the room. She sits next to Lucy. Lucy says, “I want you to take my grandmother’s seat at the table tonight.”

    “What? Why?”

“Jack and Amy are on their way and we’ll have twelve. I’d rather sit in the middle of one side and you should be there. It’s what she’d want. I mean if she new Digger’s granddaughter had married her grandson.”

“John Ross and I have separate bedrooms. Separate lives.”

“Yet you still can’t bring yourself to divorce him.”

    “Don’t play match marker Lucy.”

“If I was, I’d set you next to each other not as far apart as possible.”

Jack and Amy come in next. “Well daddy, I hear the cowboys might be fore sale.”

“I’m not about to get into owning a pro sports team.”

“I bet you would if Ellie brought it up.”

“Well your sister’s hard to say no to. Kinda like facing off with a grizzly.”

“Did you just compare me to a bear?” Ellie asks. “A sable maybe. Defiantly not a bear.”

Jack says, “We’re talking about your bite.”

“Oh. I think more a blue ringed octopus.”

Lucy speaks up, “Oh, that reminds me. I have Erick planting lavender out side your window tomorrow, all along there.”

Ellie gives her a dirty look.

Paul says to Charlotte over a dinner just between the two of them, “I don’t think we can trust Viktor.”

“You just run Lone Star day to day. Let me take care of the rest.”

“We might share a common enemy but that doesn’t mean he’s on our side.”

“Just keep your family away from Texas and we’ll be fine.”

    “What about Jolie?”

“The Ewing’s have her under lock and key.”

Out back of Southfork John Ross smokes a cigar. Karin approaches him in the dark. “Little lady let you out?”

    “Don’t start Karin.”

“She got you so worked up you taken to smoking to relax.”

    “Something like that.”

“Why don’t you come back to the cottage with me? I can help you relax.”

    “Where you been for dinner.”

“Lucy thought it best I not attend dinner with the family. She sends something out to me.”

    “I suppose she’s right.”

“You deserve someone to help you when you’re stressing out . . . Somethings up. You got this place locked down tight. Though I gotta say I’ve liked looking at some of your security. One of them, I can’t remember his name, helped me with putting a valence back up in the cottage. Nice how he could stretch up and fix it.”

“They don’t belong in your place.”

“It’s not gonna hurt anything. I was just looking. Maybe a bit of playful touching.”

    “Karin.”

    “John Ross.”

In the early morning John Ross meets in his study with Mateo, Juan Carlos and Amy. Amy assures them the pressure is in the EPA and the methane extraction will go through.

Paul sits at his desk in his high rise office with a view of the sun riding over Dallas. His secretary shows in three agents, “Mr. Wendell, I’m so sorry,” she attempts to explain.

The lead agent says, “SEC. we have some concerns regarding Billcore and some unfinished business with the West Star books.”

“I received a full pardon over anything related to West Star. That’s done and over.”

“It maybe, but the European Securities Commission is asking for our cooperation on this mater.”

“Ask away. I wasn’t running West Star at the time. So honestly there’s nothing there to find. As for Billcore, everything was legal and proper so your witch hunt may begin but I assure you, you’ll get no where.”

“It’s been my experience, where there’s smoke there’s fire.”

    “Quaint.”

Charoltte and Peter get into a private plan.

    The plane takes off.

The plan noes dives into the ground and explodes.

I like John Ross bonding with Pamela's son.

    :rlol: I love this exchange.

But yeah Pamela and John Ross need to have a one-on-one scene...

Lucy holds Jolie as they walkway from the Wendell mausoleum. Jolie whispers, “That’s all that’s left.”

At the limousine Beth Leland, Josie’s mother says, “I’m going to head back to New York.”

“We’ve got people coming over to the house.”

“I’m not interested. My lawyer will be in touch regarding my inheritance. Take care of yourself.”

They watch her leave. John Ross says, “Peter didn’t have anything to leave her. Your inheritance will come from your aunt. Joke’s on her. Just letter go.”

“That’s right,” Lucy adds, “You’ve got us.”

At the Wade Ranch a large group of people gather to pay their respects. Amy asks Jack, “Where’s Jolie’s brother?”

“I don’t know. She certainly is go through this alone. I don’t even see her husband.”

Amy sits on the sofa as people approach one by one to give their condolences. Lucas stands guard. Lucy sits next to her.

Ellie off to the side approached Doctor Petrio Giannilli. “You’re Charlotte’s escort aren’t you?”

    “Yes I am. Petrio.”

“Nice of you to be here Petrio. She leave you something in the will?”

    “You’re blunt.”

    “Observant.”

“No I don’t think she left me anything. As far as I’d guess Jolie and Paul would split everything.”

“So you’re just here to show your respects?”

“Charlotte and I were very good friends as unlikely as you think that might be.”

    “I’m sure.”

John Ross watches the television news in his study. The first segment announces that tweet three year old oil heir Dan Luce was sentenced to 45 to 80 years in prison on multiple rape charges over the last five years.

The next segment announced Viktor Sechin, owner and President of Lone Star has taken Ewing Oil to court over a gas extraction process they say they bought from Christopher Ewing.

In a hotel room Ellie rides on top of Petrio, reaching down an running his hard chest.

Lucas holds Jolie who looks up from his shoulder, her tear stained face, and kisses his lips.

Steven lays on Alex’s bare chest. “I know she’s been through a lot, but you said you’d tell her.”

“I will but it just has to wait a little longer.”

    “How much longer?”

“I don’t know Steven. She just lost her father and aunt.”

    “But you love me, right.”

“Of course I love you, but I love Jolie too. We’ve known each other for so long. We went to school together and have a child together. That’s something we could never do together.”

Steven closes his eyes, his body goes limp and sad as he visibly withdraws into himself.

Lucy walks into Pamela’s office brushing off her secretary, “I don’t need announcing.” Pamela welcome her as Lucy seems bothered. “DNA tests are easy today.”

    “What are you talking about?”

“Your sons. They’re John Ross’s boys.”

“You had them tested? Did they let you?”

“I don’t need anyone to give me permission. How could you.”

“Josh Cantrell and I worked together at Billcore, he couldn’t have children, I didn’t want to fight with John Ross over my sons.”

“I see. So you just lied to everyone.”

“Josh wanted children. Heirs. I didn’t want John Ross to be the father.”

    “Cause he cheated on you.”

    “You know he did.”

“He has a right to know. They have a right to know. And Josh Cantrell is dead.”

“It’s not an easy thing to tell someone.”

“No I bet it isn’t. But either you do, or I will.”

“Of course I will. John Ross has been getting close to them. That’s why I brought them here.”

“Do you hate him that much? So much that you’d steal his children from him?”

“I loved him. I trusted him with everything. I even turned on my father to help him.”

“Oh please like that was hard. Cliff Barnes is nuts. He child your babies.”

“I know that,” Pamela says with contempt.

“I just always thought deep down you loved John Ross. Maybe I hoped you did.”

“I wanted him to love me. I still see that recording of him with Emma when I close my eyes.”

“And you tried to accept it.”

“I did. It almost killed me.” Tears roll down Pamela’s face. “He loved Elena.”

“He never loved Elena. He wanted to. But in the end he put her in prison for working with Nickolas Trevino and that drug cartel to protect his son. And he felt guilty over using Marta, watching her give birth to his daughter and die. It killed him inside, but he wasn’t in love with her. When she died and he handed me Ellie, he cried before he left and called for you. I tried to get him to go to you.”

    “He called for me.”

“He said you were the only person who ever truly loved him and he destroyed it over JR’s masterpiece, but he swore he had no idea you really loved him. He thought you loved Chris. And then you, Well you know what you did. He thought you must love him, risking your life.”

“I never loved Chris. That was my fathers twisted plan to get at this damn extraction process that now I’m in court fighting over.”

“Well you sure fooled us all that you did.”

Pamela sits down in a chair. “I guess we’ve been at cross paths all these years.”

    “I guess so.”

Ellie walks up onto the porch of the Ewing hunting lodge in northern Michigan. Charlotte and Peter Wendell walk out. “My father sends his best.”

    “Did Viktor. . .”

Ellie cuts her off, “Yes. He blackmailed Paul and took over Lone Star and then made the announcement that you, or now he, owns the patents to the Ewing Extraction Process.”

    “But he doesn’t have them?”

“Of course we’re not going to just turn them over.”

    “Good.”

Seems like nobody ever dies here. Just a bunch of stunts that make people believe they are dead. It reminds me of JR Returns somehow...

    Huh? o_O

And yay! Pamela's twins are John Ross' sons.

I didn’t think about that. Yeah I’m not sure I like that. Katherine was one thing as she was from the original cast. But yeah I have to consider that. Thanks for pointing it out. I forgot I already did that.

I have no idea what happened. It should read:

The first segment announces that twenty-three year old oil heir Dan Luce was sentenced . . .

I’m going to proceed as if the scene with Pamela and the Wendell’s did not happen. Charlotte and Paul are dead. I’m also going to proceed with J. Paul Wendell’s son’s name as Jeremy Paul Wendell III - as I had originally intended, typo. He will go by Jeremy.

    The last scene was :

Ellie walks up onto the porch of the Ewing hunting lodge in northern Michigan . . .

    That is replaced with:

John Ross rides up to the barn at Southfork, dismounting as Mateo approaches. “Did you see to Jeremy Wendell?”

“To late. Viktor Sechin and he are co-Presidents of Lone Star Capital, each with a third of the company.”

“He’s in over his head if he thinks he can trust that man. I’ll speak to Jolie and buy her third. That at least puts her out of the way and gives me a seat at their table.”

“Lone Star also filed suit today against Ewing Oil, claiming it owns the Ewing Extraction Process and that it bought from Chris.”

    “You gotta be kidding me.”

“He doesn’t actually have anything but a sale agreement stating Chris had clear ownership. They’re demanding Ewing Oil cease their operations and turn over the process to them.”

Jack says from a panel at a House Congressional committee meeting, looking down the row of his fellow Congressmen, “Yes this is an issue of particular interest to my family, but more importantly it’s of national significance. We just can’t allow a foreign national to walk away with American technology so vital to our energy security and that of our allies.”

A fellow congressman says, “And the courts are handling the matter with current law.”

Another congressman says with a great deal of hostility, “That’s the very point. There needs to be a constitutional amendment to protect these types of assets. We need it through this joint committee now and through the full congress tomorrow so the states can take action on it quickly.”

“Quickly doesn’t give us time to discuss this most serious issue,” another congressman interjects.

Jack says, “Then just give the keys to your house to the Russians now! What more do they have to do to get you to act? They’ve bought ejections. Senator Graff, did they buy yours?”

    “Now wait one damn minute!”

“Wait so you can drag your feet? This is America and we’re at war. And some of you are still dragging your feet. Is it really out of line to ask why, especially when we know the Russians have bought right up the White House? They’ve bought into the Chinese State Council and Central Military Commission!”

Pandemonium breaks out. The chair pounds his gavel attempting to restore order.

Bobby walks with Chris through a federal court in Dallas. John Ross approaches him with Mateo and says, “You traitor!”

Bobby positions himself between Chris and John Ross, “Back off! You know Chris thought he was selling to the Wendell’s.”

“Ok so he’s a stupid traitor.”

“If you hadn’t tried to steal his work in the first place none of this would have happened!”

“Steal! Those patents are assets that went in to creating Ewing Energies, which was acquired by Barnes Global when his dumb ass ran the company into the ground. Which my father had to die to make into Ewing Global. And then you and my mother couldn’t pay your debt so you lost majority control to Ewing Industries. You do recall those events?”

Chris says, “Of course we recall how you stole everything from me, partner.”

“I tried to be your partner. You wanted to control everything. Then your girlfriend wouldn’t pay back my momma and somehow that was my fault. Then she almost gets you killed. Took you a decade to recover. Is that my fault too? Raped me. Blackmailed your father. Cavorted with drug dealers and the man who killed Pamela’s babies, her own father. Got Aunt Anne and Emma kidnapped. Emma raped. Drew killed. Laundered money for Trevino. You need anymore? Now your dumb ass is selling secrets to the Russians.”

Bobby pulls Chris away and says, “Let’s just go.”

In the wide upstairs hall of Southfork Pamela stops John Ross in the way into his room. “How’d court go today?”

“Stalemate. Which is what we expected. The court is won’t force turning over anything immediately like they wanted.”

“That’s good. You talk to Jeremy?”

“No. He wasn’t there. Neither was Viktor. Just Lone Star lawyers.”

    “Chris?”

“Oh yes. He testified he never turned over anything to Ewing Energies. We present the documents which set up the company and asked for the case to be thrown out. Of course he didn’t. Preliminary crap and no one blinked, so.”

“Our lawyers told me we can’t proceed though.”

“We made that clear, how much the company is loosing having to wait and see until they figure things out.”

“They don’t care.” Pamela shakes her head incredulously.

“No they don’t. Anyway. I’m going to change did dinner. See you down there.”

    “Yes. See you down there.”

At the bottom of the stairs Lucy asks Pamela, “Did you talk to him?”

“I did. But nows not the time. He’s dealing with Chris and this court case. He’s got a lot . . .”

“Yeah he’s always dealing with a lot. I don’t want to be the one to tell him.”

    “I’ll tell him.”

Bobby walks through a hotel lobby. Ray approaches him. “Bob.”

“Ray. What are you doing here?”

“Looking for you. What’s going on?”

“Chris is having to testify about the sale of extraction process.”

“That’s what I mean. To some Russian.”

“He sold to the Wendell’s. He didn’t know they were in business with some guy from Russia.”

“And they’re both dead and the two of you are here doing what?”

“Chris is explaining what went down both back when they formed Ewing Energy and then when he sold the process to Lone Star.”

“You got to be kidding me Bob. So what? So they get the extraction process.”

“With the deal Chris gets royalties. Without it, he gets nothing from Ewing Oil.”

“I know you don’t like what happened, and John Ross ending up with the company, but come on Bob, the Russians.”

“Im just here to support Chris.”

“You don’t both to tell me your in town, or Lucas, or Lucy. You know this ain’t right.”

“What’d John Ross send you here to talk to me?”

“You know that’s not true. I was talking to Lucas. And yes, he and John Ross are close. The man Lucas describes is just the ban Jock would have wanted John Ross to be.”

    “How you figure?”

“He’s strong. Don’t take no guff. Don’t ask anyone to do anything he’s not willing to do. They respect him. He does what’s got to be done. He took the company away from you and Chris. You were burying it just like Jason and Digger. And he did what he had to do.”

“Oh that’s crap Ray and you know it.”

“Is it? I talked to Sue Ellen when everything went down. She told me how Elena would pay her back. How you and Chris sunk everything into the extraction process. How you’d disagree with Chris but still side with him. Donna said Carlos told her the same thing. The two of you pushed the company to the wall. Then that Elena girl nearly got him killed dealing with drug kingpins. Now he’s dealing with the Russians. Come on Bob. Take the blinders off.”

“Me. You come down to lecture me when you better than most know JR’s cons.”

    “This isn’t JR.”

    “You know what I mean.”

“Do I? You walked away from Dallas. You’ve got Pam.”

“You know he helped Katherine take her money?”

“I know Rebecca ignored Herbert’s Will and split up what was just Katherine’s. Look I’m no fan of the woman, or wasn’t, but that boy of her’s, he’s a good kid. And if that’s what Herbert’s will said. It’s not about John Ross helping her. It’s about doing what’s right. I thought that’s what I could expect out of you. But this, helping some Russian walk off with American technology, this is just wrong. You and Gary got a great thing out there in California running Westfork. You got your families. Why come back to do this? Revenge? Cause that’s what it sounds like. John Ross got the girl, the ranch and the company. That’d make him Jock and Christopher Digger. Look what happened to Digger Bobby. You gotta stop this before it’s too late.”

The Ewing’s walk out of the dinning room toward the living room. Alex thanks Lucy for including him and Jolie as family. Pamela holds the arms of her two boys.

In the late evening, John Ross sits out back of South Fork in the crisp night air. Lucas says he better get going and leaves. Then Pamela walks out. “Hey John Ross. Can we talk?”

“Yeah sure. Of course. What’s up?”

“I want to talk about us.”

“Not to sound like a bitch, but there’s an us?”

    “There was.”

“Yeah, I guess there was,” he says with a heavy sigh.

“I don’t know how to say this except just to say it. Colin and Logan are your sons.”

“Look it Pamela, I might not have known there ever was an us, but I’ve always known those boys were mine.”

“You did? But why didn’t you say.”

“What was I to say or do? You didn’t want me. And the truth is I didn’t think very much of myself at the time. I walked out of here and left Jack and Ellie to Lucy. Far as I was concerned, Cantrell would’ve made a better father anyways. And what now? Tell them the man they loved isn’t their father. You know you father once told me that?”

“He doesn’t even know about my sons.”

“No. About me. You left. I went to Mexico to see him. Confront him. He told me the babies, your babies with Chris, he thought they were mine, and I had to know why he did what he did. He told me I was really his son. He was going to get Southfork for me.”

    “My fathers nuts.”

“Agreed but after his elaborate story I went and got tested to make sure.”

    “And?”

“JR was my father. But my point is I had to deal with what I’d have to ask those boys to deal with, except it’d turn out different. The man they expect to be their dad isn’t.”

    “He was a good father.”

“I know he was. Just like Lucy was a good mother.”

    “I’m sorry John Ross.”

“Don’t be. It was the right choice.” He stands and walks off the porch.

    “Where you going?”

“For a walk. Make sure everything’s locked down.”

    “It’s dark out there.”

    “Usually is.”

John Ross shows up at a deer blind. “Hey,” he says to a man sitting in side with night goggles, earphones and an assault riffle.

    The man says, “Mr. Ewing.”

    “How’s it going?”

“Pretty good. We picked up some chatter near by not long ago. Turns out it was your neighbors. The McCoys. Couple of kids looking to tent camp stumbled onto Southfork. But other than that, all’s quite.”

    “That’s good.”

Great update. I loved how you brought back Bobby, Ray and Chris for the update and also that Pamela finally told John Ross that he is the father of her twins. :)

Yikes Cliff sure must have lost it in jail to tell John Ross that he thought he was his son. Good thing the test proved that JR was John Ross father.

Thank you. I figured you’d like them. It’s what I thought they should have done on TNT, use the original cast for key up dates.

Yeah Cliff is nuts. No way to explain what he did on TNT besides nuts.

Jack goes over talking points Amy for a rally, big oil, Russian collusion, the future of nuclear energy. Suddenly the car swerves. A Hummer with blacked out windows attempts to run it off the road into a ravine. Jack yells up to the driver, “What the hells going on?”

“I don’t know but that’s not our security detail,” he yells back right before the car rolls down a couple hundred feet.

John Ross rides up to the back of Southfork as Lucy comes running out of the house. They both get up into a helicopter which quickly takes off. It’s joined in the air by two military looking helicopters.

Inside Lucy says, “They’ve been survival flighted out to UCLA.”

To Mateo John Ross says, “What happened to their security detail.”

“Found dead in the abandoned Hummer.”

“I hope you’re prepared to send one hell of a response.”

“What are we doing?” Steven asks me n a towel, walking out of the shower.

Alex, in a matching towel says, “I just can’t. I care about Jolie too. And Josh. My son deserves two parents.” Steven looks hurt. Alex holds him from behind. “It’s not that I don’t care about you Steven. It’s just, that’s not what this is about.”

Two security guards enter the apartment. “Sorry Mr. Ewing. There’s been a breech. We have to secure you.”

“What do you mean a breech?” Alex asks.

The two grab up Steven and force him from the room.

Jolie sits in the Southfork kitchen feeding Jay and Josh with a security guard standing watch. Lucas comes in the back door. “Have you heard anything?”

    “No.”

“I just saw Hummer racing down the driveway. Probably Pamela and Logan.”

    “Colin’s back here.”

“Pull him out of the field. He’s in the barn helping Buck with a constipated cow.”

    “Oh that’s pleasant.”

Lucas and Jolie walk out back as Logan and Pamela come running up. “What the hell’s going on?” Pamela asks, Looking around at all the security, including soldiers with ground to air launchers on the balcony.

“We’re all on lock down,” Jolie says. Apparently someone tried to kill Jack and Amy out in California.”

    “Oh my god.”

Inside their private plane John Ross says to Lucy and Mateo, “He’s taken a big risk with his grandchildren.”

“Tells you about the man,” Mateo says.

    Lucy’s silently angry.

Logan enters John Ross’s study just to look around. He seems almost impressed with the room, seeing his great grandfather in it, his grandfather, and his father, without realizing they’re his. He can feel the power welded in the room. Pictures on the wall, certificates honoring those before him, JR’s belt buckle, Jock’s lion medallion, animal skins and prized mounts, everything in the room able to speak to him.

A beautiful young woman walks in. “Oh sorry,” she says.

“No it’s ok. I was just looking. I’m Logan Cantrell. My mother was married to Mr. Ewing.”

“Oh yes. I’ve meet your mother. Ms. Barnes.”

    “Yes that’s her.”

“I’m Melanie Scott. I work for Mr. Ewing’s assistant. I’m just dropping off some papers. He has us go through the back so as not to disturb the house.”

“Oh I see. He’s not here. We’re all kind of on lock down.”

“I heard. I’m sorry about Jack and his wife. I hope he’s alright.”

“Yeah, were all a bit worried.”

    “Do they know what’s happened?”

“No. Not that I know of.”

    “Well, I should be going.”

“It was nice to meet you Melanie.”

Colin jumps off his horse and dusts himself off. Not an ordinary rancher, dressed more like a equestrian in tight britches and polo shirt. Karin startles him. He says, “Any news on Jack and Amy?”

“No. I was just thinking of taking a ride myself.”

    “Kinda clears one’s head.”

    “Why don’t you join me?”

    “I suppose I could. I hear your Amy’s cousin.”

“I hear your cousins with Jolie and Jeremy Wendell.”

“Through the marriage of our Aunt Charlotte.”

“What a cozy family.” Karin smiles and rubs his back.

Ellie sits in a private family room when Petrio walks in. She looks up at him. “Last person I expected to see.”

“I’d just seen them right before they left for event. How are they?”

“Jack’s in surgery. They’re looking for internal bleeding. Amy’s unconscious. They’re monitoring her.”

    “Can I see her?”

“I’m not even sure why you’re seeing me. How does one go from Charlotte Wendell’s pet to being worried about my sister-in-law’s well being.”

    “She’s a friend.”

“You teacher her at Bridgemount. Mathematics.”

    “Yes.”

“My family is on the way. I think it’s probably best if you’re not here. Discretion.”

“I’d just like to see her.”

    Ellie studies him.

John Ross is approached by California state police as he walks down from his plane with Lucy and Mateo. “Mr. John Ross Ewing.”

    “Yes.”

“I’m afraid we’ll have to arrest you and return you to Dallas. The court order granting your release on bond requires you to stay in Texas while your case is pending.”

“What!” Lucy yells, they’re all but thrown the case out. His son is in the hospital.”

“I’m sorry. He must seek the court’s express permission to leave the state, even in such a situation. I must take you into custody Mr. Ewing.”

Grr! How cruel to arrest John Ross when he was trying to visit his son.
Seems like they have gotten themselves deeper and deeper into a dangerous situation.

I liked Logan visiting his father's study and what he felt in there.

Deeper and deeper or they could retreat - but Ewing’s don’t retreat. They get revenge.

The boys will have sometime fitting in at Southfork but it’s where Ewing’s belong.

John Ross says to his lawyer in a police interrogation room, “I just want to get back to Jack as soon as possible.”

“We’re just waiting on the judge.”

The prosecutor from Texas enters the room. “What makes you think the law doesn’t apply to you?”

Looking to his lawyer John Ross says, “Mateo was right? He’d show up. I’ll be damned.”

“It’s obvious we need to hold you as a risk flight. I’m petitioning you be returned Texas and your bail be revoked. You should never have been let out in the first place.”

“You’re really getting on my last nerve.”

    “People like you . . .”

“Sitting up on a high horse or not you’re still just a termite.”

The door opens again. “Mr. Ewing, the judge’s ruling on you request came through. And the FBI is here.”

“Thank you. Ask them to give me a second.” John Ross sands and takes a hold of a stake of papers. “Ever since you took and interest in me, I took an interest in you. I’m curious who Mr. Burcroft is?”

    “I don’t know who you’re talking about.”

“Well you talked to him a lot. About me on a phone he gave you.”

“Recording my conversations is illegal Mr. Ewing.”

"You’re right and the man who murdered Katherine Wentworth should be prosecuted, if he were alive. But he isn’t. So I was able to buy his stuff from his sister. Everything, site unseen. And some very interesting conversations recorded between the two of you. Now those are very legal on his part. Also lots of notes and pictures. All interesting enough to get a court order for wire tapping, financial records, you name it. They got it. Expect for, who is Mr. Burcroft? He tosses the papers in the man’s face. “That’s your copy.” He then leans down and whispers in the man’s ear, “This is my country you treasonous bastard.” He walks out. The FBI enter.

A young woman walks in a beautiful London apartment. A man says, “We don’t have time before your father’s men are after us. You want to see your children?”

    “Oh God Yes.”

    “Then let’s go.”

In the elevator he strips her naked and cuts open her arm. She screams.

John Ross runs down a hospital hallway. “How is he?”

Lucy approaches him. “He’s doing well. Still unconscious. Amy’s awake.”

    Looking at Mateo. “Anything?”

“Leads. We’ve got Sechin’s daughter. Had to cut the tracking device out of quick. Couldn’t take the time we did with the kids.”

    “She with them now?”

    “On her way.”

    “Good.”

Logan gets out of bed and pulls his underwear on. “Now you’re sure about helping me know about John Ross’s business?”

Melanie holds the sheet to her naked chest. “Of course. I mean, I could loose my job and you could be kicked out of Ewing Industries, but your mother isn’t going anywhere. So worse case scenario we land on our feet. Best case, we use the information to get very rich.”

He leads down and kisses her. “And we have a lot of fun in the mean time.”

Mateo approaches a young woman in the hospital lobby and hands her a note. “Interesting you knew about me to get me this. What is it you want?”

    “How is Jack?”

“Why would I tell you? Your a reporter with The Washington Free Press.”

    “You do your research quick.”

“From Mr. Ewing’s room to the lobby. So, why would I tell you.”

“I’ve been working with Jack Ewing. I’ve help get information out to the press in his office investigation of Russian meddling in American energy technology.”

“And you’ve done a fine job. That’s it. He feeds you information he wants. Your career takes off. I don’t see where the relationship goes much further than that. I’m sure when he’s back to work he’ll contact you.”

    “I know about you don’t I?”

“So he hold you about me? Your point? Let’s cut to the chase. Your name is Damae Winger. You’re fresh out of Dartmouth. Jack screws you a couple times a week. So does Senator Lasky and Congressman McNab. Yes I follow you closely. As for what’s going on here, that’s none of your business. Go back to D.C.”

The woman taken from her London apartment runs into the arms of her children in a tropical paradise.

Lucy walks in the room where Jack sleeps. Ellie and Steven are sound asleep in chairs. John Ross goes to wake them and Lucy pushes him out of the room.

In the hall Lucy says, “Leave them alone. They’re right where they should be.”

“But that can’t be comfortable. We’ll get them a room.”

“No we won’t. Remember when Steven had his appendix out? That’s what they do. They take care of each other. Never leave each other’s side. You leave them alone. It’s better than the get well cards you got from your siblings when you got shot. Or mine when I had a hysterectomy.”

    “That’s true.”

They walk down the hall and see Pamela walking towards them.

“What are you doing here?” John Ross says rather angrily.”

“Nice hi see you too,” Pamela responds. “I was worried about you.”

“I meant being off Southfork. You’re safer there.”

    “I’m fine.”

“No. I want you back on the ranch.”

“I get this wasn’t an accident with Jack, but no one has a reason to come after me.”

“You’re the President of Ewing Oil. That means you over see the methane extraction that a lot of people want shut down.”

“Oh and Jacks been fighting it in Congress, and . . .”

“Yeah. So aren’t any of us safe. Unless we back down. This is what my father warned me about that Chris was to stupid to get. Your father understood it. It’s why he was desperate to get his hands on it. To shut it down.”

“And he’s playing right into their hands this time around.”

A code blue goes off in the hospital and they all turn to watch a trauma unit rush into Jack’s room. They run to look in the door. He’s flat lining. Steven and Ellie hold each other. Pamela holds John Ross.

As the staff work on restarting his heart Lucy runs in by them. Tears soaking her face. “Do leave me Jack! Fight Jack! Fight! Oh my God please . . .”

I like that John Ross kids are so close and that Pamela flew out to California to be with John Ross. :)

You sure like to keep things dramatic. I mean almost all of your updates ends on a cliffhanger.
