Am I right to assume that this top ten only focuses on Diana Ross' solo career so we shouldn't include any The Supremes' songs?

No, this is just Diana Ross. The Supremes have a healthy back catalogue to warrant their own top ten

There's often so much more (and sometimes better) than the few hits you remember. It really pays off to participate in these top ten threads, even if you think there's nothing you like.
Even if it's just that one great song.

    Roy Orbison

    ro.jpg

Roy Kelton Orbison (April 23, 1936 – December 6, 1988) was an American singer-songwriter known for his distinctive, impassioned voice, complex song structures, and dark emotional ballads.

Born in Texas, Orbison began singing in a rockabilly and country-and-western band in high school. He was signed by Sam Phillips, of Sun Records, in 1956, but his greatest success came with Monument Records. From 1960 to 1966, twenty-two of his singles reached the Billboard Top 40

In the 1980s, he experienced a resurgence in popularity through the success of several cover versions of his songs, and in 1988, co-founded the Traveling Wilburys, a rock supergroup with George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, and Jeff Lynne. He died of a heart attack later that year, at the age of 52. One month later, his song "You Got It" (1989), co-written with Lynne and Petty, was released as a solo single and became his first to break the U.S. top 10 in twenty-five years.

I didn't know he had 2 songs with same title. I skipped listening to one of them cause I thought it was the same song.

I don't think he does, the song I chose is the only song I know by him called that. I know what I've done. I originally had 8 songs and I was in two minds whether to include "Oh Pretty Woman" because I was fed up with the song for a long time. Then I gave it a listen and was surprised to find it wasn't as bad as I had been thinking. Then somehow I added "Only the Lonely" though I don't know why as I had already placed that in my ten. I was a little shocked to see that I had 10 songs when I thought it would have been only 9, however rather than actually re-check my list I came to the conclusion that I had miscalculated the original line-up.
