Nah, i don't think so either.
That's probably their last chance to get rid of all those lousy resolution DVDs of season 1 that are still in stock, if they really plan a bluray release. ;)

I´m currently watching season 2 and 3 in HD on my new curved Samsung UHD Tv and the picture is absolutely stunning...but the sound isn´t. I have to turn the volume nearly to the fullest to hear something.

That's strange. You have the episodes from Gabriel as well, haven't you?
If i compare those on my laptop with other videos, the volume level seems normal.
How do you watch them, with a stick or another device that is connected to the TV?
If it's a device - then maybe it does have an own volume control which might be set too low?

Oh, don't get me wrong. I kinda like season 6 and it does stand out among the crappy seasons 3-8. It just seems odd to me that iTunes would chose to make season 6 available for purchase in HD before the preceding seasons o_O

That's amazing. According to the info on that website all of season 2-9 have already been remastered in HD. Hopefully they will all be available to us before the end of the year!

From your mouth to God's ears! :)

I don’t think I could fully understand what @Matthew Blaisdel meant with respect to the quality of my reformatted episodes of season 5 (the original Amazon files were almost 5GB in size — too big to transfer, so I had to convert them and I used an inferior 1-pass process), until I watched the Christmas episode yesterday on my new 65” UHD TV.

You were absolutely right, Matthew. Those files were just not sharp enough. I’m considering re-downloading season 5 in its proper form, all 150 GB of it.

By the way, 3 years on, none of the digital stores offer the remaining seasons (1, 4, 7, 8 and 9) in HD — though, as I saw here on SoapChat, the entire series had been available for a limited time on The CW’s streaming platform CW Seed. I was hoping iTunes or Amazon would offer them at that point, or perhaps my, uhm... source of these files, alas that hasn’t been the case so far.

And no progress on the North & South front either, Matthew. Though, I’m still keeping an eye on it for you.

It makes sense to me that Seasons 2,3,5 and 6 are the most popular years.

Seasons 2 and 3 established Dynasty’s reputation and Alexis as a fan favourite.

And Seasons 5 and 6 was Dynasty at its ratings peak, which despite post Moldavia was still big enough to close the season as number 7 in the top ten.

These seasons correspond to the seasons I bought on DVD, along with season 1.

strangely I omitted buying 4 as I never felt compelled, just felt like too much Kirby, Tracy and Dex, characters I never cared for.
