I do have a former scripted version of "Every picture tells a story" and the last scene with Alexis and Blake was totally different from the final version. In this one, when Alexis finds out that Roger Grimes may have been killed by Blake, she comes to him not to blame him but because she believed he did that because he was madly in love with her and terribly jealous of Roger ! Alexis even proposes to Blake to say nothing about it to the police if he gives her a second chance. Of course Blake turns down this crazy proposition. I also have a former scripted version of "House of the Falling Son" and Monica was supposed to show up in this one rather than in the next episode. On the contrary, Sable did not sleep with Dex in it (I guess the original plan was for the next episode and it was reversed). Then, on LB's blog, there is an article talking about what season 9 will look like and David Pauslen talks about an unseen character (a dancer). Steven's secretary is also introducted as if she would be an important player. All that to say that even though David Paulsen had a clear vision of what he wanted to do, that did not prevent him to do a lot of last minute changes.
