It is good EastEnders remembers it's past, something Emmerdale want to forget and Coronation Street can't be bothered to get right since Daran Little left.

I still want to slap Mick silly. Poor Keanu, he is such a lovable guy. You have to admire his determination. I think Kush will knock Max out when he eventually finds out what is cracking off. I wouldn't want to be in Max's shoes. I wonder if Ben and Jay will fall out over what Phil is suggesting?

Scrub my last post, so annoyed with EastEnders.

The Jay/Phil storyline is utter boulder dash. If memory serves me right, Jason was beaten to a pulp by a gang and Billy was hiding in the shower scared stiff. The guy in the car lot was a tramp? How would phil know the tramp was Jay's father? So many holes in this storyline already, it is like a bar of Aero.

Memo to the big wigs at the Beeb, don't treat your audience like idiots, some of us have been watching for a very long time and we know what's what, probably better than some of your script writers and archivists.

The name might have been released and he might have checked or discovered by other means?

Still, it means that Jay's late father was played by Nick Packard, who has played Tony Hutchinson on Hollyoaks since it started.

I'm utterly confused by this too! Jay's dad was Jase who died in 2008, not a tramp who died in the car lot fire in 1994, bit of a jump the shark, failed retcon moment here.

Phil is lying, it was revealed at the end of the episode.

Better episode than Monday's weird 2 hander. Vincent is a much more likeable character these days, I would love Vincent to find out it was Max and beat the crap out of him.

I liked Shirley in this episode. Some of the dialogue in the script was a little cringworthy it was like we were back in the 80's, who says Yuppies? And does any East End pub have a good old sing song the' Lambeth Walk?' I was expecting Knees up Mother Brown next. [IMG]

It was nice to see Shirley and Linda getting on.

EastEnders is being weird lately, there's something off about it, maybe its time to completely clear house and give it a complete revamp ahead of the 2020s, which incidentally, EE will be celebrating 40 years in the middle of that decade and will be 35 years in 2020, is it time Easties had a complete revamp and makeover and bring it up to date a bit? Lately it feels like I'm watching an episode from the mid 2000s

Psycho Abi is brilliant at the moment. Seeing her dancing around in that wedding dress was proper creepy. Really love Abs.

When did Shirl ever cook a roast? Good on Linda giving them what for. Nice duff duff with Bert appearing.

Do I have any sympathy for Mick, absolutely NOT! Linda is way to good for you my son, you are punching way out of your league.

I did find Donna funny when she said to Abi about having some whoopi:-

'Come on Ab's, I want details, all of them. This body hasn't seen action in so long, the next bloke that comes along 'ill have to bring a canary to make sure it's safe.'

So what is the relationship between Fi and Josh?

The scenes with Jane, Abi and Steven were very good. A good Duff, Duff.

Where exactly did Martin think Stacey was when he was held back by the police? Under that cake stall?

Jane may be a ruined character but I hope she does not die. But if they want the Max storylinne to be drawn out until Christmas?

I know it's a bit of a mess and people have been taking the p i s s but I'm kind of enjoying the random madness of this week's episodes. It's quite something to have a gas explosion, a shooting, an arson and ambulance crash all within three episodes!

I agree ott but very enjoyable to watch. So Steven has carked it. A bit of a cop out really, saying that as much as Jane is a ruined character I am glad she has not died. I wonder where the Max storyline will go next? Will Max try and bump Jane off? Will he threaten her? Will Jane have amnesia? so many questions. All will be revelaed.

Loved the Abi and Lauren scenes. Abi is a delicious cow, a mini Janine or as Kim would say Janice. :D
