Generational clashes

    Dynasty had its major characters who were from the Greatest, Silent & Boomer generations (the reboot has Boomer's X'ers and Millennials)

    I also think of Sammy Jo, Amanda, Clay, Luke and Bliss as older Gen X'ers, should there have been a major clash between the younger boomers ie Adam, Fallon & Steven: 60s Hippes/80s Yuppies vs
    Nihilistic, indifferent, Cynical X'ers

    I always wanted a scene where Fallon is berating Amanda or Sammy Jo over something and one says "Your generation failed to change the world, we're just reaping the benefits of it and making our world now and people like you take out your anger out on us, now go smoke your grass and pretend its 1969"

    I don't know but I always wanted a red-silk gallery, with white wood moulding and gold leaf trim, just to the left of the foyer, where Blake's personal art collection lived which would include paintings of his ancestors -- although it turns out he already had that when he was married to Jacqueline Perrault in MADAME X.

    Blake never struck me as the arty type, I would like to see his ignorance on the subject shown, perhaps an avid art dealer would show Blake up on the subject embarrassing him

    I think you are right he would be ignorant, but also formidable enough nobody would expose him on it. And perhaps he would have had someone give him a basics course in it, enough to make conversation. Then again, and given Steven's history, maybe he thought as a Colorado man he ought NOT to know anything about art. And he would talk of nucular weapons during the arms race discussions.

    Wasn't John Forsythe a collector of art?

    Anyway, I could imagine a man like Blake Carrington enjoying art and theatre. Sophisticated, but not open-minded.
