How many seasons or episodes do you see this going?

Since it's CW I'm guessing no theme song/intro with cast names next to their poses. Biggest flaw EVER!

I can see them getting just and only JUST 13. No full season immediate order. I am betting they want to see how it does in the ratings. Then they start giving it additional episodes like Melrose Place, but not the full 22. Maybe 18? Then it gets cancelled after the season 1 finale due to low ratings. Just my guess. I could be totally wrong though.

No teens will care for it. They weren't around in the 80s.

    What do you guys predict?

If it gets a 2nd season renewal, that's usually a good sign it will stick around a while, despite low ratings.

I'm guessing there will be a 15 second segment of the theme tune, I hope there will be the title cards though, the ones from the original series were so phallically symbolic it was hilarious

I'm guessing most of average teenagers/twentysomethings today would have parents who grew up in the 1980s, so they may be familiar with the series, that's how I got to know about Dynasty.

Well, I'm guessing Dynasty 2.0 is slanted more towards the youth orientated than old farts like myself. Dynasty had my interest for the first couple of seasons before all the silliness crept in and I'm prepared to view the re-boot for what it is, a re-boot. The success will depend on good writing, strong story arcs, ensuring productions values are set to impressively high, damn good actors but above all else, some risk taking. We'll see.

Hopefully none. This tragedy will ruin Dynasty's name. I will not watch it.

I just hope they don't do this with Falcon Crest. I think this is the reason they wanted to do this, because John Forsyth is dead. Had he been in his 70s now and his 40s then, maybe they would have continued it. It's the same reason they didn't bring back Falcon Crest with new continuing stories for today.

I don't think it will work as well.

Knots Landing, there's still hope to bring it back for continuation, unless the core 6 start dying off (Karen/Mack/Gary/Val/Abby/Greg)

To me, they're waiting too long for a KL revival/continuation. It should happen no later than 2020. If not, that will be bad. All these actors who are alive now will be too old to do much and who knows how long they will live until?

I prefer google myself. You just put a minus sign in front of what you *don't* want the search engine to come up with, and it doesn't. :D

I'd like to see a Falcon Crest continuation but with Richard and Emma living at Falcon Crest in the sort of Angela and Chao-Li roles - lord of the manor / patriarch of the family and the dutiful and clever friend / sister (not servant). Yes I'd love Maggie back but that's not going to happen. Yes Lance was a major part but by the end his character had run its course and I was never all that into Pilar and that last minute daughter of his. But we've got Richard's young sons (with interesting pasts) and Emma's daughter - Angela. Not to mention a whole story to be made about Choa-Li's family. Love to see the Rosemonts and the Nunouz families make an appearance. Even a place for Father Chris to show up now and again to keep the family's religious ties. Could be young, very diverse, full of conspiracy theories and very attractive.

I never did see a way to continue Knotts Landing except through Meg. As Greg's biological daughter she has a lot of back ground that might prove interesting. And Abbey was always a hoot, but it seems to me everything else ran its course as well. Not sure where they could really go with the story.

Falcon Crest is one of those few programs that could easily be done as a continuation but with a new family.

I think so. Even without Shelby and Ladd, they could easily use the house (which for the most part realy did look like the set) and the music and the idea of the family business and the conspiracies of Richard Channing and with one of his sons run with a whole new family of Channing's and with lots of guess stars and you're off.

They would NEVER use the same music. Dallas didn't. 90210 Didn't. Melrose Place Didn't (during the scenes).
