Of all the cancelled soaps, this one hurts the most (that is, after the devastating cancellation of Dynasty, but at least they got 9 seasons).
We should still be watching new episodes of TNT Dallas in 2018!
I know what you mean. When it was first coming back in 2012 they kept talking about "another ten years" and I kept hoping that it really would run that long. So for it to be cancelled after three seasons and two years felt like such a disappointment. It was much too soon!
Eventhough I love The Colbys, I'm quite content with those two seasons. It was fun to watch all those stories they couldn't tell on Dynasty.
But with Dallas it just doesn't feel right, and sometimes I have an almost physical yearning for more episodes.
I hear you. Dallas and the Ewing family became an extension of our own. 40 years later and they still resonate. In the right hands I firmly believe the patriarch of all soaps can still tell a story. It desperately just needs someone to guide it. I think it would be quite fitting if Dallas was to end as a 5 episode TV event with each episode 2 hours in length.
I still miss the show.
Maybe one day it will come back.
I miss the theme tune. When I'm having a bit of a downer I play the theme music on my personal computer...it gets the juices flowing
I miss original Dallas and cast only
I dont miss TNT at all! Im glad it stopped so it could do no more harm to the original show
its my ring tone, so i hear it daily lol
Tnt Dallas may have had it 's faults but when Bobby and the other Ewings all payed a tribute to the late great larry hagnman i know I shed a tear or two
