I'd say alive. If they ever make a wrap up movie or mini tv-series I want Chris to be a part of it.
I know people on the set didn't like the actor. They Prob wanted the option to kill him should there ever be a season 4
I'll take your question as matter of fact. I'm afraid it would be yes, Christopher is dead. The synopsis for season four had already been hinted at by Cynthia Cidre herself when she stated season 4 of Dallas TNT was to start several months after Christopher's death. Bobby is still mourning and Elena was fast approaching giving birth. I'm assuming J.R.'s secret daughter would have popped up in scene 2 just to give us loyal Dallas fans shock value.
I understand fans reluctance to accept Christopher's death and they've suggested scenarios how he did not die in that explosion. Personally I was appalled by the writers shock value by indicating, "A Ewing Shall Die," promo.
I hated the "Which Ewing Will Die" social media crap too!
But that they were even trying to promote the show with something that no fans wanted to watch (a Ewing dying) shows how little CC and her creative team knew their audience and how desperate they were at that point!
Also I don't care what CC said about season four. That never happened so if they were ever to do a reunion movie or mini-series to wrap things up I would want Christopher to be alive and I would drop the sister storyline and focus on the Lucas plot that the fans wanted to watch. I heard from a reliable source that CC had planned to bring in Lucas in season four!
The only thing that really counts is what was on-screen and in my view there's just enough wiggle room to call it inconclusive. If the show had continued Cidre may have confirmed the death but a reunion or revival now could be a different story, especially if someone else was in charge.
Wiggle room yes. And just a few seconds. The finger on the trigger guy witnesses Christopher enter the car. He then turns and begins dialing a number on his mobile. I could imagine Christopher escaping during these few seconds especially when the trigger guy is distracted when Elena exists the building and walks towards the car prior to it exploding. So for Christopher fans there is a glimmer of hope if ever Dallas returned to our screens in the future.
We saw Bobby get run over, die and be buried and then two seasons later we were told he didn't die so anything is possible.
I would really hope they didn't go the dream scenario again.
Christopher is alive.
He's my half brother & I love him.
It'll never be resolved so if you believe he survived he survived.
Dead. All blowed up. Dead. And anyone who says that makes me a hater can stick it.
But you're not a hater, you just have a different opinion.
I choose to believe he's alive.
Christopher Mark Ewing is alive.
And of that I have no doubt.
This whole thread confuses me. I don't remember Christopher being alive all three seasons of TNT's DALLAS.
There are always way to resurrect people from the dead.
Dallas did it with Dusty Farlow first before Patrick Duffy's infamous return in that iconic shower scene.
As far as I'm concerned Christopher is alive.
In fact I know he is as he's currently asking me questions about Samwise Gamgee as he's reading the Lord of the Rings in bed.
Good night everyone, Pam & Mark say Hi too.
Christopher is alive. I don't care how they rewrite it--he left the car, he didn't get in the car, someone else got in the car, or even someone saw it in a dream (opps that was used before!) As far as a sister for John Ross, I could handle it if it was Katherine's kid or someone connected to the old show.
There was the possibility it could have been the daughter of Katherine as CC herself mentioned the mother was long dead. And we know Bobby killed Katherine (mid-sentence) around the time Christopher was looking Pam.
CC has said that the mother was to have been a new character but, as with Christopher's death, a new showrunner would not be bound by that.
