A friend told me that buddhists mourne for 90 days after the passing of a loved one. Most often in private, which is quite understandable.

Maybe that's the reason there have been no official statement from Patrick Duffy and his family?

I don´t think that´s so exact, at least for Mr. Duffy, since he didn´t mourn (in public) his killed parents at the time. He explained that he didn´t need to do it because he talked to them when he prayed every day. Also, I don't think buddhism (like most of other religions) has a strict way to do anything because its schools of thinking are very diverse. Just FYI...:innocent:

Mmm..I am inclined to still think that's pretty accurate. I believe Buddhists do have exact and strict ways of doing things. And it could be that he's just very private and it's none of our businesses at all how he chooses to grieve. He didn't mourn in public when his parents died, but none of us know what he did behind closed doors.
