So sorry to hear it is indeed true. Condolences to Patrick and his sons.
I'm also really sad to hear that it's true.
My condolances to Patrick and your sons and grandkids. I'm very sorry for your loss. Your whole family is in my thoughts and I hope you will find some strenght to make it through this difficult time. *hugs*
Carlyn I hope you'll dance again in your next life and find happiness and peace until you'll reach Nirvana. RIP
That was a lovely picture of her. Sanding hugs and comfort to the Duffys.
A friend told me that buddhists mourne for 90 days after the passing of a loved one. Most often in private, which is quite understandable.
Maybe that's the reason there have been no official statement from Patrick Duffy and his family?
Karin, that´s the most beautiful wish you could make for Carlyn or for any Buddhist.
According to Wiki, Carlyn Rosser Duffy passed on January 4, 2017
Patrick & Carlyn, 2015
I think that's it exactly.
I don´t think that´s so exact, at least for Mr. Duffy, since he didn´t mourn (in public) his killed parents at the time. He explained that he didn´t need to do it because he talked to them when he prayed every day. Also, I don't think buddhism (like most of other religions) has a strict way to do anything because its schools of thinking are very diverse. Just FYI...
Mmm..I am inclined to still think that's pretty accurate. I believe Buddhists do have exact and strict ways of doing things. And it could be that he's just very private and it's none of our businesses at all how he chooses to grieve. He didn't mourn in public when his parents died, but none of us know what he did behind closed doors.
