She would've been saved if that SLUT Valene hadn't murdered her!!!!!
Jill was a dirty slut pig who needed to die. The only good that came from her was her delicious brother Peter. Otherwise she was a demonic trogbitch from hell.
Well, I guess we have point/counterpoint established quite well.
It was the Simpkins siblings's thirst for revenge against Galveston Industries that brought them to Knots Landing. An argument could be made that if they had just been more forgiving, they would not have both ended up dying prematurely (and gruesomely). Greg had nothing to do with the poisoning of the water in Wesphall; it was done on orders of Paul Galveston, who was dead by the time Jill and Peter arrived in town.
But also... Jill was hell of ANNOYING and needed to die. Didn't she give a guy VD or something too? Rotten to the core.
Actually, that was a funny little detail that I'm glad they threw in. David Lamb (the infected man in question) swore up and down that Jill gave him an STI (before they called it that), but since they didn't actually have sex, she was not infected. It turned out his wife had also been sleeping around, had contracted the STI, and gave it to David! Just goes to show, Miss Jill could not plan EVERY single detail.
I don't remember exactly how they proved that Jill wasn't there at the time she claimed to be - was this some kind of proof? Then it wouldn't be a funny detail just for the heck of it.
Jill got one of the best character stories in the history of soap (and was played by a very good actress) so I wouldn't say she was treated badly (but that was never the point of this post, was it).
Oh, it was "funny" in the sense that David Lamb was so horrified to find out that his wife slept around---when he was basically doing the same thing. The quasi-affair between David and Jill had to be the weak link in everything unraveling...they just came up with a clever way of disproving Jill's alibi.
Jill would have been forced to lose everything she fought to get (Gary) in order to keep from going to jail for attempting to murder Val. The health department called to announce David's condition, and this meant both Jill and Gary had to be tested. So Gary was obviously pissed, but if Jill didn't stick to her story, cracks would appear in her alibi. The visit to the doctor for testing (Gary and Jill had the same doctor) allowed Gary to find out Jill had recently been given the prescription for sleeping pills, and Pat figured out the pills were what was used on Val (and on and on)...all this unraveling, piece by piece, was great writing and acting. And it was all set off by the unseen Mrs. Lamb and her wandering eye.
Yeah, it was the perfect crime and the perfect alibi - she just picked the wong man.
I'm glad Gary and Valene were off the hook rather quickly after Jill's death because it spared me endless investigation scenes about a non-whodunit. Especially after spending so much time unravelling the real shedunit. it was time to move on.
Gotta love Our Jill
Well... She's no Linda Fairgate. So, there's that.
Also I think it's widely accepted that Jill gave everybody VD.
THAT was what they put in that water in Wesphall!
Well it's what she put in the water. Bitch.
