As lovely as ever:
DALLAS season 4...never going to happen
Her tongue is really a character of it's own.
Now. Who's fault is that?
Thanks for the post. The choice of Judith Light to play Judith Brown Ryland was a gamble but from that opening scene when Bobby visits the Ryland mansion and Judith delivers that opening dialogue, "My son isn't home," she had me. But like all things associated with TNT Dallas the writers simply couldn't understand the requirement to keep the character on the straight and narrow. The thing I believe the writers really messed up was the missed opportunity for the characters of Sue Ellen and Judith to bump heads. Of course it was all leading to this in that final episode but then the series was canned.
I just found out that Judith played also in the 80's sitcom "Who's The Boss". I really did not recognize her.
You can't blame her for not wanting to waste her youth on TNTDallas - you're only 16 once... or many times if you use Principal's Secret!
Isn't it better to make your skin healthy, rather than healthy-looking?
Agers cant be choosers.
Old doesn't mean un-healthy.
Of course I wouldn't leave the house without moisturizer plastered on my face, but then I'm not living very healthy.
Well old does mean you are inevitably approaching death. And that's as unhealthy as it gets. So old does mean unhealthy.
However, a baby - the beginning of life, with the purest skin possible - doesn't even have the strength to break an egg.
That's also not very healthy.
Maybe I'm biased. I work with the elderly every day and there's the sense that Death is holding their hand. If not pushing them on the floor to break their hip or choking them when they eat, or stealing away their last breath as they sleep. You can smell him. You always know he's there.
I liked her character too - not the coke snorting crap but the crawled her way up ruthless bitch that in the end saw in John Ross a partner in crime. I even liked the drug cartel that I think she had whacked in jail.
Judith Light received positive reviews for her recurring performance as villainous Judith Brown Ryland in "Dallas"! Entertainment Weekly named her the "scene-stealer" of the series!
On a sidenote, Judith Light is only three years older than Mitch Pileggi, i.e. the actor who played her son Harris Ryland on "Dallas"!
I loved "Who's the boss?" starring Judith Light, Alyssa Milano, and Tony Danza. (And I almost forgot the legendary, Katherine Helmond, who played Judith Light's TV mom! ). I remember wanting to grow up to be just like Judith Light's character, Angela Bower: A professional and successful business woman and mother!
When Judith Light joined the cast of "Ugly Betty", it was so interesting to see her playing a completely different type of character! But I loved her version of her role as Claire Meade. And when Judith Light took on the role of Judith Ryland on "Dallas", she - once again - switched to a completely different (yet very successful) league! She really is an outstanding actress!
