Ok that's great news @Willie Oleson, now i have 29 more episode to watch. I look forward to watch the rest of the show.

I have never heard of this series myself, but by coincidence I stumbled on a trailer on YouTube and I kept watching and I was quite impressed. I also found the complete series on dvd on the internet but I don't not want to buy too many series on DVD anymore, because I already have a whole collection of series on dvd in my collection. But I am very happy that this series can now be seen on Netflix, which gives me the time to follow this series. And yes i need my Dutch subtitles, unless they speak just Dutch are Englisch.

Yes i do hate when they split the seasons in two, that's why i never buy them i only want a full season on dvd. The only tv-show that i have in seasons splits is "Hunter" (1984), but that's was the only way to get this show on dvd in my collection. :)

I'm watching Dynasty on Netflix too, but i guess your right, i think there are much better shows to watch on Netflix, like Orpahn Black is a grreat show, and what you just sais @Willie Oleson, i'm glad is was on Netflix so i didn't have to buy a series on dvd.

That's a great idea @Willie Oleson, to take a break from the newer series, and go back to the old ones. Because Dallas will soon be celebrating its 40th anniversary, I think it will be fun to start all over again with the older seasons of Dallas. I am also very excited to continue with Miami Vice, Magnum P.I. and Footballers Wives (UK series). The Walking Dead is the only newer show that i'm continue to watch on dvd. Next week i'll start with season 4.

Thanks @Willie Oleson, i think i will indeed love this show too. ;)

I've been tempted to buy this series many times but somehow I never did. Some years ago it was available from Blokker for only 20 euros, but that was without the Extra Time spin-off.
Do you have this Dutch release (Noppen & Naaldhakken) or the UK version that includes the spin-off series?

Yes that's right @Willie Oleson i also bought is from Blokker, i think it was around 14,99 euro's for the complete series when i bought it, but i just found a old picture when the price was much higher, i gues i was lucky, so i thought this was a great deal for less money.

I have the Dutch version with Dutch subtitles. I don't know about the spin-off, but there is a lot of bonus material on the dvd's.

Maybe when you see this box again for the price of 14,99 euro's you should give it a try, you will love this show. :)

Maybe I shouldn't watch those last 2 episodes before I go to bed. It's too exciting!

From the trailer I've viewed on youtube this series looks tempting Willie. Just one problem I have when viewing an international production. I find reading the subtitles generally stifles my enjoyment of a series as I like to read people's expressions. Is it dubbed into English at all?

I'm watching it with Dutch subtitles, but I'm sure Australian Netflix has Australian subtitles:)
The trick is to do it both, and to listen to the intonation of their voices (which is easy because it's Spanish).
After a while you won't notice reading those subtitles anymore, just as I got used to watching English soaps without subtitles. It sure beats the dubbed language versions, I find that unwatchable.

Gran Hotel is the last series I watched.

The conversation in the original Spanish version is succinct. (There’s also a Mexican version, with a different title, that I’ve not watched.) Gran Hotel is available for free viewing now on wlext. The English subtitles are brief and to the point, so plenty of time to read expressions I reckon.

Willie mentioned 66 episodes over 3 seasons. The wlext one is 39 episodes over 3 seasons too – 9 episodes in season 1, 16 in S2 & 14 in S3 – and seems complete. Each episode is a book chapter, with epilogue included in the last episode. Each episode about 1.5 hours long (or less) on the videome server.

I binged watched in less than a week, lol. Viewer emotions are heightened in a handful of episodes: it’s always especially sad when bad things happen to people you care about. I made the mistake of not watching S3, E10 alongside E09. I didn’t think the emotional arc could continue higher, but it did.

Gran Hotel, set in the year 1906, is a Cluedo type of romance telenova that has some intricate plotting. It also pays homage to American soaps, such as Falcon Crest and The Colbys. You might recognize some characters/actors & scenes or influences. Even a genteel catfight of sorts. Personally, I’d tired of the grand romance by S2, but was happy to continue with the series to its ‘end’, if only to test my powers of deduction of who did what why.

No, no, no. He played a different character this time around. Not a plumber, but a famous (and very horny bisexual) cook.
