Murphy Brown #11.07 (Bette Midler was guest starring!)
Hollyoaks. It was Christmas and bad boy multiple murderer Warren Fox (whose occasional murders and kidnappings never get in the way of his full-time regular contracts) was murdering his fiancée before the ceremony. She was going to shoot him but he had removed the bullets before he suffocated her. Then he popped down to the wedding and made it look like she jilted him.
The new episode of Blue Bloods and NCIS: Los Angeles.
Footballer's Wives - season 5 (episode 2 & 3)
Porridge series 1.
I finally finished the short-lived, open-ended soap "Reunion": only 13 episodes, one for each year, using flashbacks and flashforwards, and one of the most compelling (and gorgeous) casts that I can remember. It has a few things in common with "Revenge" (here it´s a mysterious murder in present time (2005) with all the characters involved in it) and also with early "Melrose Place", when they still were somewhat believable. I couldn´t count the twists and turns of the plot, and how many wigs and tints all the cast used in the show...probably that´s what the reason of its cancelation, the budget was overrun by the hair department!
Knowing it had no closure, I haven´t feel cheated. It´s like reading a book you found at the attic with the last pages missing, but anyways absorbing and worthwhile reading. So this was "Reunion". In a way, it also looked like a spinoff starring the Michael Sharpe character from the last season of "Falcon Crest", with different names (Gregory Harrison plays another ruthless millionaire who is the father of one of the boys). Another treat is the soundtrack, for every year there are 3 or 4 top hits heard in the respective episode. A recommendation if you like rarities well-played, tightly-written, fast-paced and full of beautiful people (with actors who can act). Here is a pic of them:
A sexy bunch, right?
PS: Edit to add that I searched on YouTube for "Reunion"...and found the whole (so to say) series, 13 eps. You can watch them here:
PS 2: There was no closure nor filmed ending, but at least I could find out on the net which character would have been the culprit of the crime! (Good idea though tricky, I loved it!)
NCIS: Los Angeles.
The new episode of NCIS.
Porridge series 2.
The Kominsky Method.
I wasn't sure what to expect from this "Created by, Chuck Lorre" 8 episode series. What an absolute treat. It's bold (rude), funny and heartwarming. Every actor in this series is sublime.
