I've liked him in pretty much everything he has been in (well, except Jeremiah, but that's Straczynski's fault). But I was so in lust with him in 90210. I hope he pulls through. On another note, TMZ played an audio clip of the 911 call with the numbers of his blood pressure. Sure, because there is no such thing as privacy for actors...
That's not good, I hope he's able to make a full recovery.
I hope he pulls through and that he will make a full recovery.
If Tori Spelling had had the stroke, Shannen Doherty would have champagne for everyone......
I met her up close in Atlantic City once, when she was a guest for a show at Caesar's there. She was very, very approachable with those wanting to talk to her (including me). She was also crazy short.
OMG, Luke Perry passed!
He was a really good actor, easily the best actor on 90210, with Shannon Doherty being the best actress.
I was thrilled to see him in the dad role in RIVERDALE he stole every scene he was in
RIP LUKE PERRY
Oh no, that is so sad. I'm so sorry to hear this
Shocking and sad news, 52 is too young to die. He was a talented actor and so good in the series Oz.
Rest in peace
I can't believe he is dead. In my teen days, I was a huge fan of "90210" and even thought I don't care about the show anymore, I still like to hear about its actors.
A part of my adolescence is dead with him today.
Luke Perry as Dylan was a nuclear rocket of sex appeal. That he could also act made the combination unbeatable.
RIP Mr. Perry. Another report of his passing here:
This is so sad and also a bit shocking. I must admit that I have been googling him a couple of times since the news of his stroke came hoping for an update and some good news. Sadly we got the opposite today. Hearing about it left me feeling numb. Rewatching the 2003 reunion of 90210 tonight made me cry. Luke talks so much in it and they all seem so close and happy to be reunited. Yet it's such a great show to watch with so many memories shared by the cast.
"Bevvan" was the show to watch when I was a teenager. Everybody loved it. It was on Sunday nights on TV4 in Sweden. I remember how we all used to talk about it at school on mondays. I used to have a big Beverly Hills 90210 poster over my bed. In the middle was a cast photo and on the side were photos of "Dylan" and "Brendon". About 6 years ago I rewatched 90210 on DVD and realized that it was actually better than I remembered it. That inspired me to make a couple of fan music videos about it. This one seems more sad now than before somehow.
Anyway I loved watching Beverly Hills 90210 it remains one of my most favorite top ten shows.
My condolances to Luke Perry's family, friends and co-stars. May he rest in peace.
I read on Leonardo Di Caprio's twitter that he posted about Luke Perry's passing and how they had worked together. It left me puzzled as I had no memory of ever seeing them work together. Turns out that they filmed a movie just recently called "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood". It's scheduled to be released later this year. How ironic that Luke Perry's final movie might be the biggest in his career. Also so sad that he didn't get to see it being released.
I appear to be doing this a lot of late. Just sad NEWS regarding Luke. Deepest sympathy to his family and friends. His passing brings back funny moments when my younger brothers girlfriend at the time was obsessed with 90210 and Dylan. If she ever happened to visit on the night of screening the men of the household would have to speak in hush tones. On another screening night my younger brother and his girlfriend had to attend an event and it was my responsibility to ensure the VHS Recorder taped that evening's episode. I was so terrified of this girl I remember pressing record 30 minutes prior to the show starting and sitting there and watching the episode to make sure there were no screw ups. I wasn't a big fan of the series but I did enjoy it's spin off, Melrose Place and the short lived Models Inc. But only because Linda Gray was in that!
R.I.P. Luke Perry
Never saw a thing he was in, but the pics of him in "Riverdale" made him look as though he was ill even then. He looked really gaunt and thin.
Luke Perry was easily the best actor on 90210 in my opinion, he had great chemistry with Shannen Doherty, he made Dylan human in a world of superficial people, I felt that Brandon lost that over time, the fact that Luke Perry returned to 90210 as a favour to Aaron Spelling says a lot about him as a person
He was the only male actor on 90210 who had a memorable post 90210 career, he was consistently working, (Shannen & Jenny also have good post 90210 careers, fitting since their were the big three on that show),
