All hail Madonna, a 60 year old woman who won't be quiet.
For those who enjoy graphics and stats, here's something you'll enjoy...
The Queen Of Pop in seven charts
Chart longevity; most popular songs on Spotify; singles by decade; Google searches; musical positivity scores; most common key modes; net worth.
It's all there.
Oh my God, it's finally happened. MADONNA is freaking 60! (What the hell does that make me?)
Changing my evening plans. Time to break out my voguing robes and re-watch 'In Bed with Madonna'.
All hail, the one and only Queen of Pop! (I'm not worthy...! I'm not worthy....!)
Guess what's just been added to my Christmas present wishlist.
My God, time flies very fast when you get older, and Madonna will be 60 years old tomorrow. I think I'll put on the dvd "Celebration: The Video Collection" in the evening and watch all het famous videoclips, and I will listen to my favorite Madonna's CDs all day long.
And it's my Holiday, so let's celebrate.
Oh my stars. Madge's MINI is for sale. Sadly it's a little out of my budget.
Im an 80s Madonna fan and for me she stole live Aid along with Queen
She was always one I dressed up as at a fancy dress party!!
I think her music now isnt a patch on her early stuff and she has changed her face too much
Didnt like her 90s stuff like erotica, etc but loved Ray of Light CD
This song was played to death by me in the 80s- i loved her raw talent
the best of CDs often accompany me in the car to work!
I am also a big fan of Madonna's 80's music, until she came with the whole Erotica music and book period, my interest in Madonna became a little less, but after a couple of years later when she released the album "Ray Of Light" I also became a hole new Madonna fan again, but I have to admit that I really liked a few songs like "Deeper And Deeper" and "Fever". But I'm starting to appreciate the music of Madonna from that period a little bit more now, maybe it was just not the right time for me to love that kind of music.
But I am still curious about her new album that will be released at the end of this year.
Happy Birthday Madonna.
Unbelievable that she is 60. Somehow I still think of her like being around 40...
I liked Madonna a lot in the80s. Vogue, Deeper and Deeper, Take a Bow, You’ll See, Evita, Frozen and Hung Up are still favs from the 90s and 00s. Unfortunately she seems to have gone in a different direction with the last three albums which has not been quite so fabulous. We await the next Madonna chapter with curiousity...
Exactly my thoughts. There was something refreshing about "Ray of Light" and Madonna's more down-to-earth appearance, continued somewhat with her follow up album, "Music." But, "Ray of Light" was the last album I purchased. Her early music defines the 80's and 90's. I read (in one of the many articles written about the "Queen of Pop"?) where the journalist likened her early songs to anthems. I reckon that just about sums it up. Where are those anthems today?
You know her new material is better than you give her credit for. Rebel heart especially is a strong album. Try listen to the song Joan of arc it has that classic Madonna ballad sound.
