Pros & Cons?
I think they act like a painkiller, to make those first days a tiny bit less horrible. But they're not going to do the job for you.
The mental part is the biggest challenge, but that only starts after a week or maybe two weeks. Just when you think "yes, I did it!"
But there's a difference between quitting (a conscious activity) and the realization that there will never ever be another cigarette again. Tha'ts when it feels like the end of world.
Also, I believe these gums can be hazardous.
But what if you don't really smoke?
Is it one of those modern things to chew nicotine gum, like non-smokers who use E-cigarettes, or people buying vinyl albums eventhough they don't have a record player?
Well, the gum has no tar, for one thing.
But there's nicotine in it.
Or is it cool to pretend that you're trying to quit smoking? Those hipsters never fail to amaze me.
