http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment_and_arts Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, the actress's lawyer has confirmed. Robert Offer said the actress filed for "dissolution of marriage" on Monday, adding the "decision was made for the health of the family". "She will not be commenting, and asks that the family be given its privacy at this time," Offer added in the statement. The couple have been together since 2004 but only married in August 2014.
I think I am kinda speechless then...I never thought it would actually happen. Yes I need to post that twice
I'm not shocked. Usually when someone meets under the circumstances they did (and the hurt that was caused to Jennifer Aniston), it tends not to last. However we don't know the exact circumstances.
I agree with you on how they met and how they treated Jennifer...no one deserves that...I am just kinda thinking after all that and all those kids...I thought they would last...but as they say...nothing lasts in Hollywood...at least very few marriages do. We will never know the exact circumstances I don't think....unless your there you never know the exact truth.
She says she won't be commenting on it. I guess it is kind of a shock because they only got married a couple of years ago. Bet Jen is clapping her hands in glee round about now!
I know they lived together for so long I guess getting married wasn't a good thing for them. Yes with this Jennifer gets the last laugh...and I do hope she is happy married to Justin.
It's really weird how you can live together but marriage can ruin things...have never understood that..
I don't get it either...my hub and I lived together for 4 years and now have been happily married for 14 years. I think it happens with celebrities more often? I also don't agree with open marriages and they had that too. How can you build a marriage on that?
I know someone who ran off and got married in Vegas after protesting he didn't believe in marriage. I'm waiting on that falling apart.
Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, the actress's lawyer has confirmed. Robert Offer said the actress filed for "dissolution of marriage" on Monday, adding the "decision was made for the health of the family". "She will not be commenting, and asks that the family be given its privacy at this time," Offer added in the statement. The couple have been together since 2004 but only married in August 2014. They have six children together - Maddox, Pax, Zahara, who are adopted, and biological children Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne. Jolie, 41, and Pitt, 52 - nicknamed "Brangelina" by fans - are one of the best-known couples in Hollywood. They got together after meeting on the set of the film Mr & Mrs Smith, which was released in 2005. Jolie, who is the daughter of actor Jon Voight, rose to fame with roles in films such as The Bone Collector and Girl, Interrupted. She starred as Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider film series and went on to star in Changeling, Salt, Wanted and Maleficent. She also directed World War Two prisoner of war film Unbroken. Pitt's early acting roles included appearing alongside Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis in Thelma and Louise. He went on to appear in Fight Club, Ocean's Eleven, World War Z, Snatch and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and his producing work included the Oscar-winning 12 Years A Slave. Pitt and Jolie most recently worked together on 2015 film By The Sea - a relationship drama directed and produced by Jolie.
I'm rather surprised by the news to be honest And i never thought that "Randy from Dallas" would go onto become one of the biggest "stars" out remmber all the BS when it was leaked he might show at BBQ 2008 - as if!! I liked both Pitt and Jolie and have never been a fan of the insipid Aniston their first born child Shiloh (the little girl who wants to look like a boy) is possibly one of the most beautiful babies and child i have ever seen and so like her dad Hope they work it out amicably for the sake of their children, they do seem very devoted parents
Well damn it! Why are so many of my favorite celebrity couples divorcing lately? I've said it before, and I'll say it again: 2016 has been the worst year so far in my life. Both personally with injuries and illnesses, my uncle dying etc. Terrorist attacks. Brexit & Trump. All countries becoming cold and nationalistic where muslims are concerned. Bad news from the entertainment/culture industry. My BFF moving to another city. And probably a number of things I've forgotten. Plus of course, SoapChat crashing. I wish something good would happen this year!
I was in Jens camp - a superior actress to Jolie although I do applaud her humanitarian work. I find Brad completely overrated. But at the end of the day they are two people and it's sad for them and their kids who are all beautiful and very lucky to be so loved. It's worrying that this is the head storyline today ahead of major world problems. The memes on Twitter featuring Jen are particularly entertaining. I heard so many people today saying 'yes!!! Jen wins!'
when it comes to them i don't give a damn, only people i feel sorry for really is the 3,000 kids or however many have. i Like her as an actress but i could care less who she's married to. he also is an over-rated actor. yeah Seven is a great film but NOT because he's in it. he's done some good movies but i could care less about him.
But wouldn't it be great if this really was the most important news? I don't know how to rate them as actors, I've never seen a movie with AJ, but after Maleficent (which I also haven't seen, thankfully!!!!!) I swore that I would never-ever-ever watch anything with AJ in it. Never!
