If we get a warning the site is going to be down we would tell you.
What do you mean by changes to the forum?

I have no idea what you're meaning here, the site was working two days ago, there are posts from every day for the last few months.

As far as I'm aware the site hasn't been down for a full day in over a year.

There has been no change that has disrupted the forum since we returned back in September 2016.

If there was going to be an upgrade which would include downtime I would let everyone know.

That is amazing, as I could not get on for almost a day and all other websites I could.

So must be something to do with our Internet carriers or something [IMG]

I've just looked back on the 'recent posts' page and there are active posts from every day going as far back as the data is there. Also note that some posts will not show because members will have posted more in the current popular threads right now.

I've been on here every day and not seen any downtime.

That was posted on Thursday and discussed the downtime being the day before (Wednesday).

If you read the pages here, you will see that the forums were active on Wednesday and each day around that day.

I'm at a loss understanding when the site was down, there are posts made that confirm the site was not down.

There's no need for that

I'm just stating that there's no sign of the downtime, nor was I aware of this.

Before I forget, keep the poll questions coming, but note that we can only have two optional answers, that's how this addon works. :)

To add to this confusion, i've tried for like every hour at least once that day and after 5 or 6 hours not responding time i checked soapchat.net at http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/ which stated that the site is down for everyone in the world (!!) at that moment.Few hours later same thing.
Tried few times later with my smartphone (completly different provider than my home internet connection).. same result, no response from soapchat.
After i could get the page to load again after several further hours (almost a complete day) i asked in the erratic forum performance thread, if it was down for others as well and got a respons from JR's son (who lives literelly at the other side of the world), confirming that it was down for him as well.
So... there's that. It's not that i posted that because soapchat didn't work for like 5 minutes, it was at least down 16 hours, for me, for someone across the atlantic in the US AND for the page that is specialized in downtimes, isitdownrightnow.com. So.. there's that. Next time i'll make screenshots. :D

Hey, I'm not saying you are making this up.

I'm saying that I had no knowledge of this and after looking through the recent pages of posts, I see it's been active each day. Add to that, that I have been on each day and never seen any downtime.

Whenever I have seen downtime (which is quite a long time ago) I've rebooted the server and it kicks back up.

Yes, there's plenty of that happening with all this.

Oh and i e-mailed Colin H. (which i thought was you, OME) at early Thursday morning at live.co.uk to ask what was going on with soapchat..

If you go to isitdownrightnow and check for soapchat.ne, it says that spaochat was last down 3 days and 15 hours ago... and not ages ago. ;)
