If I desire to say how well the seller did in the handling of a Marketplace purchase I made on Amazon (one from third-party sellers), I will say so-- otherwise, Amazon should just butt out!
I seriously do not understand people who have the need to take mobile phone calls at 0830 in the morning on public transport. Who the hell needs to have a 30 min long conversation at that time in the morning about the weather? Seriously.
I know the horse has left the barn, but if the phone companies would go back to charging by the minute, you'd be surprised how little people would be having such pointless conversations everywhere.
People, especially tradespeople, who think being early is better than being on time so they come before you are ready for them. Sometimes being late is unavoidable but there's no excuse for being early.
When you copy the letters and numbers perfectly to prove you're not a robot/you are human and IT DOESN'T FU.CKING ACCEPT IT OMG I WANNA BREAK MY LAPTOP.
I know a man who is INCAPABLE of not interfering if you're having a conversation with someone else. The amount of times I have muttered oh please eff up under my breath...I'm gonna get caught on.
That's funny, because on another forum this man posted that whenever he wants to talk to someone, that person is already in conversation with someone named Sarah. Always her!
Be thankful they turned up. I contacted an electrician (via email since other tradies I know prefer this method) 6 weeks ago for some work to be done at my home. The guy responded and said yep, won't be a problem. Haven't heard from him since. This lack of attention to customers frustrates me no end. Not even a follow up email - rude!
I did this walking this morning Now, as soon as I got home, my phone sent me an alert which says, “Don’t forget to go for a walk today!” It is trying to make me crack.
Well, yes, not showing up is worst of all. Sometimes I've waited all day and then called them. They apologise but at some point they must have realised they couldn't make it and let me know.
Thanks. That was between 8.25am-1.30pm yesterday. I walked 6.66 miles from home to a health walk, arriving at 10.24am. Then did over 5 miles on the health walk between 10.38-12.40. Then walked almost 2 miles to a delicatessen. I have done over 61,000 steps in a day. Walking to health walks, doing the health walks and walking home again. That is usually how it mounts up. Every week on a Thursday between April and September last year that I did three health walks (all but one week), I walked between 20-27 miles on each Thursday. I destroyed seven pairs of walking boots last year. I’ve destroyed two this year. 10 days ago, I waited 11 hours for a company to service my tumble dryer as arranged three days before and they didn’t turn up. Then I phoned them and they said they couldn’t come for another 10 days but would pay me £50 for the inconvenience. So we bought a new tumble dryer and I spent 12 hours last Monday, waiting for it to come. They even promised me on the phone on the delivery day that it would come. It didn’t. So this other company are paying me £30 for that inconvenience. And they said it couldn’t come for another week. It is scheduled to arrive between 7am and 9am (a two hour time slot offered for free, that people would have to pay £19 for ordinarily) this morning. Less than half an hour left. Hopefully. Update: 9.20...Still not here.
Sometimes I feel like I'm dealing with an alien race when it comes to return calls, deliveries and trades people. I have to remind myself, "They are human right?" With regards to deliveries the sooner drones are introduced the better. And don't get me started on companies wishing to splash $$$ around just to placate the customer. When you promise to deliver a tumble dryer on a certain day - do it. We've surrounded ourselves with all this technology and people still are unable to use it.
I'd rather they were a little late - within reason. If they come before you're expecting them you could be in the middle of something you can't leave, or if it's an early morning job start, maybe not dressed. What's the point of making an appointment if they're just going to show up anytime?
