I hate spring. It's that time of the year when electronic devices (or parts of it) start to malfunction.
It looks like I have to buy a new DVD player for my computer (or have it repaired) and I also need to buy this
    upload_2018-4-4_22-35-49.png 55 euro, thank you.
And probably a new CD player too (approx € 900, thank you). PLUS the annual county taxes.

But above all this, I hate people who love spring. When they say "I love spring. Spring is so loooovely".[IMG]

Oh I pre-ordered. :) But I would rather be listening to it on release day, than at night when I am tired. Saying that it's been on heavy rotation since Friday.

Did not know that! I thought your post leant towards not being able to go to the music store to get it.

The first university lecture I attended deconstructed the term “common sense” and dismissed it as an amusing, if sometimes downright dangerous notion.

I wherever possible only accept parcels through a window, since I can hide being only partially dressed if they come at the wrong time when I’m in someone else’s house.
Oh, I did over 50,000 on Thursday. I had three hours off during it. I took a friend completely out to lunch and went home (someone’s home) for a while. 22.36 miles was the final total.

"Mic drop" what the eff is this? What retard* came up with this? What kind of retard* is impressed by this?

    * The above use of the word "retard" is in no way intended to malign people with developmental disabilities, it is intended to malign retards.

One of the local TV stations has a slogan for their newscasts: "We've Got You Covered". They repeat it incessantly. It drives me absolutely up the wall because it is a grammatical nightmare. You expect me to trust your news reporting when you can't even choose a proper slogan? I could get behind "We Have You Covered" or ideally "We Have It Covered," or even "We Got It Covered" (though that's not really proper English, either). But "We've Got You Covered" is saying "We Have Got" which is terrible. Maybe they feel that using improper grammar endears them to the audience? In that case, just call it "Eyeball News at 10" or something equally off-the-wall.

To be honest it sounds catchier than the correct versions.
It could have been the title of a 1960s game show that uses intentional slang just for the fun of it.

Their coverage of "the revolution in Legoland" is probably not very trustworthy (I thought the people in Florida should know).

The devastation in LEGOLAND is hard to ignore. The retreating troops have been screaming in agony as they march barefoot over the little Lego pieces that used to be their homes.

In that case I stand corrected. I thought it was a hoax but apparently they've got you covered.

People who honk their horn when you don't turn on a red signal where it is clearly posted "no turn on red".
