Gospell god damn it!
I thought it was an odd title...unless Blake secretly does musical theater in his spare time. Steven would approve.
It's Gospel (one "l"), I'm guessing.
How was it? What happened?
Nothing yet...just making fun of the typo in the thread title.
Who knew Steven (of all people) could mix a bit of comedy into self-mutilation. Desperate times call for desperate measures, I guess...and who says he isn't a Carrington? His manipulation of the situation with Gerard was quite masterful. He's actually "smoother" at it than Fallon, the one who paints herself as being so much more in control of situations.
As predicted, Cesil didn't take long to show his true colors once he got out of jail. He's going to be blowing his stack all the time and pushing the plots along, I guess. I am entertaining the idea that he will be the one to "encourage" Alexis to come out of exile to stir things up, like perhaps he knows she can do damage to the Carringtons that he (or Jeff for that matter) could only dream of.
Sammy Jo certainly didn't seem to be in much pain considering he got Rita Moreno-ed minutes before by Ted. He should have at least had bandages on his ear, don't you think?
Also it's "Gospel" - how predictable are you!
The Alexis thing is so "darl" better. Do you make me feel?
Also - "Robert De Niro's Waiting" - "People Are Staring And Following Me!"
I'm pretty surprised that Steven was able to pull off being able to put on an act for Ted's father so well. Guess he's a lot more like his dad than he thinks after all.
So there isn't going to be a trial after all... kind of a bummer because I was looking forward to it but considering what's coming up next it's probably for the best.
So maybe Blake was kind of right about one thing about Cecil: that guy does have a mean temper. He literally scared the living daylights out of me when he went off ranting and raving about Blake like a madman. Anybody watching that would've thought he belonged in a nuthouse. Makes me also wonder what exactly went on between him & Mrs. Colby. Also I thought he was being way overly harsh about Fallon. I mean, she's not exactly an angel but come on.
My heart broke for Fallon when she finally found out about her dad's lies and she ended up crying in Michael's arms. For some reason it kind of reminded me of the Lifetime movie Liz Gillies did a couple of years ago when her character broke down and cried after realizing that she was mentally ill.
This has to be some of the best acting she's ever done on the show so far, and her confrontation w/Blake was absolutely spellbinding. For some reason Liz Gillies and Grant Show come alive when they do scenes with father and daughter arguing with each other. I can't wait to see how she fares with Alexis.
I also think there's an interesting parallel to Cecil & Blake basically using their kids as pawns in their stupid little war. I'm still hoping that Fallon doesn't ultimately go through the marriage but I have a bad feeling about this especially since Jeff appears to be sticking around for the rest of the season and Monica & Cecil don't appear to be.
And looks like Anders really does care for Sammy Jo after all! And did anyone catch on to his referring to be a New Zealander since he claims to have a Kiwi accent?
Also since when does Michael have a little sister? Pretty odd that Michael's parents never mentioned her before. I did like her interactions with Michael and Fallon and she has to be pretty smart to be practically in college and studying robotics at only 17.
It's Steven. I can deal with pretty much everything else that's going on in this Dynasty but Steven is just awful. James Mackay is a pretty woeful actor. Like I'm sure he's a lovely guy and all but I cringe when he acts. It's just so unconvincing, so obvious that he is acting. I'm not seeing Steven as a person I'm seeing an awful actor. Maybe it's the accent he has to do to play an American I don't know, maybe that's part of it. I just think he's terrible and when he has a lot of screen time I just don't want to watch.
Jack Coleman at his most constipated worst wasn't even half as bad. He really makes the show hard to watch for me. It wouldn't be as bad if he was in any way charismatic or even had chemistry with at least one co-star. But he doesn't so his awful acting is all the more glaringly obvious.
Do I smell a season finale WEDDING?
My guess was Alexis shows up at Fallon's wedding. Fallon agreed to marry Jeff in two weeks.
Hm, Fallon is a bit sketchy. I think they'll wait for the season finale to do the wedding.
That does look like a church in nuAlexis' debut pic. And well, that hat and suit... Wedding attire?
I think Tom Carrington will die. It said one of them will in episode 16. 17 will be the funeral I think.
This episode was so stupid. As much as I hate the Colby's now Blake agrees for Fallon to marry Jeff? Wow. It's just stupid now.
Someone listed the ratings as 666,000 for Friday night. Is that all? That's "cancel it now" ratings.
I don't like Cesil, Monica or Jeff. If they get rid of them it would be so much better. It's all they seem to focus on.
Found it the best episode yet and the first time watching I am looking forward to the next episode.
It is t the original but I am beginning to like it for what it is.
You are correct.
I'm a terrible speller.
And it looks as if she's saying "My baby's going to marry! How could I not come back?"
Fallon: Go away, I don't want you here!
Alexis: You bitch!
Fallon: You bitch!
Alexis: You bitch!
Fallon: You bitch!
Alexis and Fallon fight.
Quirky comment by Steven.
Anders: "Oh dear".
Sammy Jo muches on wedding cake.
♪tum-te-dum, snap, tum-te-dum, snap♫
...and don't forget Blake trying to drown himself by dunking his head in the punch bowl.
FakeAlexis coming out for a wedding? Just like in a daytime soap (General Hospital, no offense) or a vintage prime time soap?
With a few Moldavian terrorists beside her I hope. At least. Or I quit.
