Trust me, Fallon and Culhane are NOT ever getting back together at any rate. Not now, not next year, not ever. It's very clear at this point that the writers and producers see Fallon and Liam as as the ultimate couple of the show and for those of us that either don't like Liam or Falliam, we have no choice but to accept that. And I won't be surprised if Michael gets written off next season. They have totally and utterly destroyed his character for absolutely no reason all because of a stupid storyline just so Fallon and Liam can become a thing again. In the grand scheme of things Michael isn't really that important to the show long term. Why else would they put him with Kirby? Because they simply have no idea what to do with the character. And now that he's been apprehended by the FBI and possibly going to federal prison, we may never see him again. And that is just as well. And now with Dominique's other kids from her second marriage possibly coming on board, there's even less reason to keep him around on a permanent basis.

I liked Liam when he had a mysterious dark edge to him when he was first introduced and then when they transformed him into the predictable, bland good guy, I pretty much lost interest. And now since Fallon and Liam have officially started becoming an item, Liam has turned into a passive, weak, pathetic wimp and all Fallon ever does is order and boss him around and use him for her own selfish, manipulative purposes.

It's pretty clear to me that she sees him as nothing more than a tool to be used for her diabolical schemes and she has very little if any respect for him. I've seen the argument so many times that Liam supposedly makes Fallon a better person but I just don't see it. In fact I think they both bring each other down as characters and as a couple. At least when Fallon was with Michael she was a lot more human. Not only is Falliam a horribly written couple but the storylines revolving around them are also poorly written and godawful. Laura actually could have proved to be a great obstacle but nooo.... they have to send her away because this show hates dragging out stories anymore than they have to. It's gotten to the point where I actually like that Adam is messing with them and Fallon, because Fallon is proving more and more each week that she's simply too stupid to live by allowing Adam to outsmart her and ignoring her mom's advice even though she's supposedly the "strong, independent woman".

Plus Fallon's character as a whole has totally regressed and she has now mainly be reduced to a selfish, spoiled, egotistical, narcissistic, childish brat. She's not somebody to be admired and idolized. She should be a cautionary tale of what happens when a young woman receives too much money and power too quickly.

Season 1 wasn't perfect, but at least it had well defined story arcs and characters had decent development. This season? This season really is a definition of a hot mess. It had ridiculous subplots that had nothing to do with the main story, horrible characterization, lack of actual story or plot points... I can go on and on. I don't know if Season 3 is going to be any better but at this point I'm not going to bother getting my hopes up. The people behind this story have clearly demonstrated they just don't give a crap. It doesn't matter if you have the hottest couple on social media if the writing is not there to support them or anyone else on the show. That's why the ratings are in the toilet. Because the writing sucks period.

Actually, the fact that she's so unlucky in business makes her a little bit more likeable. She wants to put herself on a pedestal but somehow it never works out that way.

Not really. She just comes across as incompetent and arrogant, which I'm sure wasn't the writers' intention, but that ends up being the result instead. Honestly, I am starting to feel like Fallon just isn't that good in business to begin with because of all of her business ventures that have flopped hard so far and maybe she should just give up and go into law instead. Didn't she spend a semester studying law while she was still in college? I think being in the courtroom would allow Fallon to put her big, fat mouth to good use finally.

Exactly - it's not even a whodunnit? type of story, which they probably wisely avoided because even with skilled writers those are very hard to pull off, especially in this day and age where everyone will have guessed online what happened anyway. Fallon, Blake and Adam all only knew of one of the bodies there, so how will they react to the other one? There's also a perfect fall guy for the Carringtons - Anders handled both of the bodies there, but will they really sell out the trusted servant? And so on...

Honestly, it kind of reminds me of Alexis in the original series where her business skills were always questionable and more often used to serve her personal vendettas, but never actually had consequences until season nine.

But don't you think that if the writers wanted her to be truly successful, they would simply write her as being that Corporate Wunderkind?
According to the story and the characters she was one of the most beautiful and most successful business women in America.
As she promised her dying husband - poor, poor Cecil.

I like this idea, even if I think the writers won't take that road. But Fallon being a lawyer ? I would really love that. She's so much better at talking than actually doing things. God, I miss Ally McBeal season 2. Ling Woo and Nelle Porter were amazingly funny. What David E.Kelley is up to nowadays ? The guy literally wrote almost all the Ally McBeal episodes (he wrote 100 episodes of a 112 episodes run). He would save a bunch of money to the CW and at least, like it or not, his take would be coherent with a real continuity. And he knows how to mix comedy with business and characters relationships (friends or lovers)

Mack would be alive if Alexis had not lied to Blake about seeing Mack on the estate at the time of the shooting. Cristal 2.0 may have managed to convince Blake that 'her family' was behind the shooting/miscarriage, and rather than beating Mack to death, he would have marched off to war against the Flores family earlier than he actually did. Given how so many of her warnings about her family turned out to be overblown and/or outright lies, there's now some doubt in my mind about whether Silvio and/or Beto indeed put the hit out on Mark Jennings. I also never put much stock in Alexis being the shooter, since the gun was so different and she was so drunk. So if neither Alexis nor the Floreses did it, and Mack went to his watery grave insisting he didn't do it (and I tend to believe him)...then we have to wonder who killed Mark Jennings. We have not seen the cops investigating, nor did Cristal 2.0 get any answers from her brother or father when they visited.

The police may have lost interest in arresting someone for Mark Jennings's murder, but I'm guessing it won't be as easy to make the police lost interest in two dead bodies fished from the lake. Technically Blake's still under a legal cloud over the whole "blackmailing a State senator to vote his way on the legalized gambling bill" thing.

@Daniel Avery do you realize that you are overthinking all of this ? And i mean it as a compliment (no irony)

There is no "follow up" in NuDynasty. Many times I have read your post : your ideas are too clever for the show. For exemple, in other threads, you even give to the characters the psychology they lack, much of the time.

The killer wanted to come here to post a confession, but a stray typo made him post it to snapchat instead, and of course nobody reads that.

There's only so much they can show on NuDynasty. I'm sure it was a tough call between the revelation of the killer and Fallon's presentation of her memoires.

The timing would be a tad off, but how about Adam as the shooter? He seems able to juggle many schemes at once. He wasn't out to blow Mark Jennings's head off...he just wanted to make sure Cristal miscarried. He wanted to be the apple of his daddy's eye, not some second-place finisher behind a screaming brat. Or third, if you count the new baby. ;)

Technically he was in Paris driving Steven insane when Mark was shot, but I could see them ret-conning that he made a surprise appearance on the estate prior to when he "officially" arrived.

I still think someone in the Flores family murdered Mark, my guess is Beto. I can't imagine the producers would cast Tony Plana as Silvio if they only planned to use him in one scene, I'm sure we'll see much more of him next season.

I can't think of anyone other than Anders taking the blame for both corpses.

I hope Cristal isn't as duplicitous next season; I hope her crossover to "the dark side" is blamed on the shock of her miscarriage and Mark's murder.

I was never really sure that Alexis shot Mark either. She was too drunk to walk or stand straight, or even load the gun properly. Then she closes her eyes, screams in rage, shoots, didn't even aim properly and then accidentally gave Mark a precise headshot over that distance? That's like winning the lottery jackpot twice in a row. Ok, it's CW-Dynasty, but still...
And it did sound like there were 2 shots shortly after another. It was all cut very ominously.
So i'm not sure if they planned anything with that and then just dropped it in the whole Alexis-retooling-process. ?

Oh and by the way, that was a MUCH better episode than the season-finale!

    Agreed.

By the way. Was the letter ever discovered or did Alexis retrieve it? So many gaping holes in Peach Dynasty.

Why didn't they use that murder/accident plot in order to exfiltrate Alexis from the show rather than the pathetic surgery procedure ??

Alexis was out there again at the beginning of the next episode, looking for the dropped bullets, so i GUESS she took care of the letter as well. But of course they didn't show that, so we never know for sure.

Indeed, she was on hand when Blake was beating Mack up (though I doubt she was there when he died). She even spat in Mack's face. She did not urge Blake to hold back, or try to be a voice of reason. Cristal 2.0 had been so positive in her first few scenes of the episode that her family had killed Mark, but then showed up in the basement to spit in Mack's face without any explanation as to why she no longer suspected her family. I still think that the plotline was truncated due to NS's announcement that she was leaving; that a plotline they had designed to last the rest of the season (?) had to be wrapped up within an episode or two so they could focus on NS's exit story. They edited the high points of the story quickly into one episode, when the points might have originally have been expected to happen in several. Some important 'beats' of the story--like when Cristal 2.0 changed her mind about the culprit, when Mack died, and what Anders did when Blake told him Mack was dead--had to be sacrificed in order to wrap the story quicker. This would explain why there was no follow-up on the Jennings death investigation, and why no one came sniffing around wondering what happened to Mack, their friend/husband/whatever. They had to sacrifice Mack quickly, then re-visit his demise after they'd given Alexis her send-off. They could use some of the edited-out scenes (if there are any) as flashbacks next season to back-fill on the plot they had to gloss over in season 2.
