No hints of it in this description (which is from the Comcast viewer guide), but from another source (one of the CW affiliates) we get this:

EVERYBODY WANTS TO RULE THE WORLD – In a special episode, hear a very different side of the Carrington family as Blake (Grant Show) is feeling back on top of the world. He and Cristal (Daniella Alonso) surprise Adam (Sam Underwood) with some news that doesn’t sit well so Adam attempts to sabotage their plans.
Fallon (Elizabeth Gillies) refuses to give up on convincing Liam (Adam Huber) that she is his soulmate and manipulates Sam (Rafael De La Fuente) into doing her bidding.
Dominique (Michael Michele) tries to reconcile with Jeff (Sam Adegoke) who makes a high stakes demand of his mother.
Culhane (Robert Christopher Riley) brings a business opportunity to Anders (Alan Dale). Maddison Brown also stars.

    So maybe....?

Maybe this is just me, but I've been having this weird thought... does anybody else get the feeling that at some point we might find out that Liam's (ex)-girlfriend Ashley might turn out to be his baby mama?

I just find it odd that for some weird reason that it was mentioned last season that Liam has a 10-year-old bastard son out there that we've never even met before, so unless the writers are going to eventually introduce him into the show at some point, there's really no point in even offering this as a potential plot point.

It's even more bizarre considering that Ashley literally came out of nowhere and up to this point the writers never really mentioned Liam having any other significant love interest other than Fallon, so there has to be a bigger reason behind Ashley's presence on the show other than her just serving as temporary angst for Falliam.

I won't be surprised if this was a story that Sallie Patrick wanted to tackle when she was still the headwriter and now the new headwriter might end up dropping it altogether and we may never hear another word of this ever again. Won't surprise me, considering this show's track record when it comes to being consistent with narrative structure and continuity...

Eh, I don't see a musical episode as desperate - in fact, I'm surprised they still have the budget to license, record and I assume choreograph these song numbers.

It's not that the show is desperate. I am desperate by the idea to watch it. I don't enjoy with musical episodes, whatever the show is (Well, I didn't dislike Buffy's musical episode. Didn't love it either). The worst is coming : Ian Goldberg, Andrew Chambliss and Scott Gimple (you know, Scott Gimple, the guy who ruined The Walking Dead seasons 7 & 8 and got promoted for it) are contemplating the idea of doing a musical episode of... Fear The Walking Dead for season 6 next year. I gave up on the show with season 5 (worst shit I have ever seen on TV, I'm unfortunately not kidding here) and they surely won't lure me with their Disney version of the Zombie apocalypse. Sorry, I am out of topic.

Anyway, I'm not a fan of musical episodes so I'm not excited by episode 4 of Nu Dynasty. The good thing is that my expectation is so low, that maybe I will not dislike it completely.

I'm with you. I've never been a fan of musical episodes, with the exception of OLTL. Fear is such a disaster at this point that I stopped watching this past season with the exception of the season finale. In regards to this show, I'll just roll my eyes with a snappy one-liner like Fallon would and deal with it I guess. At least in Fallon's case, she appears to have gone a little nutso, so...

I thought I was going to be totally appalled by the news of a musical episode, but it kind of makes sense that, after the OZ episode, they would do a Sound Of Music episode.
This could inspire us to suggest other Iconic Movie Themed Episodes.

I truly hated the musical episode on Grey's Anatomy, it was the final nail in the coffin for me.
Right there and then I wished I had the power to hate it out of existence (like they did to our beloved NuDallas).

Fear season 5 has been crushed by most critics and fans. On Fear official social medias, the feedback and comments are 90% bad. I have never seen so much anger and disappointment from fans, especial in that proportion. That's insanely bad.

About Elizabeth Gillies, at least, she can sing. But that's not an excuse lol. And I agree with you, they are justifying it as Fallon's hallucination.
Anyway, I will wait & see before giving my opinion.

Fear had a GREAT Season 3 and then decided to sabotage themselves. That season was more watchable than TWD. Fortunately, TWD with Angela Kang turned it around.

Season 3 of Fear was pure gold. The sow runner hired new writers and you could feel it. Season 3 was way better than 1 & 2. I was truly amazed. Then Scott Gimple took over, and we had a decent season 4A, and a dumb, horrible season 4B. Season 5 is like a crapfest of ridiculous ideas, no real plots, and it's going nowhere. I felt both dumb and bored at the same time, watching all the characters being OOC, and turning themselves into "Mini Morgans"... I gave up, and I don't plan to come back.

That's crazy, Gimple, the man who ruined TWD season 7 & 8, got promoted for that, and now he is in charge of the "Rick Grimes" movie ? Well, I won't spend even 1 cent to watch it. I even waste my time watching it. As I am not planning to watch any episodes of their new spin-off. I will read reviews and fans comments at best. If the feedback is good, I will try it.

I agree about Angela Kang. She delivered such a good season 9, and season 10 of TWD is very good so far. Unfortunately, the damage is done, and it's too late to save it from a rating standpoint. The damage is done.

The fact that there are now 10 seasons of TWD is simply mind-boggling. The first 3 seasons were amazing, although they made the cardinal mistake by killing off Shane.
I wanted him to have his own following, and become a recurring antagonist (not necessarily in every episode).
Or at least turn him into a different super-zombie.

Not to take this topic too far off track from Dynasty, what's really mind-boggling is the actual time frame/timeline for the show:

In that clip, it appeared from the WTF look on Fallon's face when Sam started singing that these musical interludes (if there are more than one) will be similar to Fallon's 'visits from Trixie' in S3E01. They have their moment of fantasy, and then Sam acts like he has no idea what she's talking about--as if she'd had a daydream of them bursting into song--just as Fallon "saw" Trixie, then snapped out of it soon after.

It's a production choice I would not have made, but then, they didn't ask my opinion.

It's a bit odd because it would've made sense when it was paired with Crazy Ex-Girlfriend where the main character kept fantasizing about these musical interludes happening.

With Charmed it kind of seems odd. Maybe if Dynasty lives longer than the Charmed reboot (unlikely) they'll have a magical/witches storyline after it's canned.
