A peculiar IMDb review of Savannah...
Who was the actress with the "attitude"?
I'm gonna hazard a guess that they're talking about Jamie Luner. She had starred in Just The Ten Of Us, which was about a " large family" and would've just started on All My Children around the time that this review was written.
Could it be that she started to identify herself with the role of Peyton? "It always should have been mine -> it's my show, they're watching it because of me"
I incline to the idea that this is mostly a subconscious process, and I wonder how she herself felt about that period after the show had ended.
Somehow I get the idea that this attitude didn't fly on Melrose Place.
Any more info/gossip on that particular subject?
The show really messed up with George Eads and his character. He was killed so that his death would get the show going [reminds me of Matthew's stupid death on peach Dynasty], but his appeal, character and actor alike, to the audience was massive. They tried to correct their error with the uninspiring twin twist, and with giving him more money than he got for the first episode, and I think they could only do that with the special end billing.
The first few episodes of Savannah sizzled, and I thought I had a Dynasty for the 90s in my hands (and I loved the southern setting). But the show went south quality-wise as well pretty quickly. Even in the first season the later episodes were not as exciting as the first few, and it really should have been the other way around.
