We all saw Alexis running upstairs, yelling: "Oh, my God! Cristal!" We assumed she tried to rescue arch rival Cristal, whom she'd locked up just after their catfight. But was she? Rescuing Cristal? Maybe she tried to rescue... Krystle, the little dog she brought to the Carrington mansion some episodes ago? I haven't seen the little beast since then (or I just didn't pay attention), but it could be that she brought Krystle to the wedding and - unseen by viewers - locked him/her up temporarily until after the festivities were over? Just so the dog wouldn't be in the way? Thinking about this at the time of the fire, she ran upstairs to get the dog out. So what we heard could've been: "Oh, my God! Krystle!" Maybe she saw that the dog had died.
There was a scene where Alexis was painting a picture of Krystle, and she and Hank start talking about the dog, with Alexis saying, "I miss that dog... he was always trying to bite you."
Right! I do remember the painting. The one that got smashed on Alexis’ head. Aww, too bad, I really thought I had something here!!
Ahem! What Ked said about the dog being gone by then was understated. And, probably why Toni found your initial thoughts funny is this.... From memory: Spoiler Register or Login to view Spoiler content! His actions give new meaning to these lines from Voltaire's song When You're Evil: "I'm the thing you lose when you put it where its supposed to go ….. and I do it all for free, your tears are all the pay I’ll ever need."
Alexis' dog is a brilliant reference to Paige Matheson's cat, the one her mother had given away after Paige had left (and then faked her death, and then told Mack that her mother had died).
Was that Belle, the cat? That reminds me, if that dog that Sam Jo & Steven have is female, then I hereby declare her name to be Christabel; on account I’ve decided she was a surprise wedding present from Cristal; who had got her from friends who were moving interstate. The dog had been born Christmas season a year or two ago, and Cristal had been present at her birth, so the dog's owners gave her that name. Christabel gets on well with Beau, but dislikes Blake. She, too, thinks he's a douchebag.
No, his (not-very-inventive) name was Mr. Wuss. Of course it might also have been the nickname Anne gave all her boyfriends.
I'm honestly not sure... but then again, I didn't listen to it non-stop for days on end. Plus I mostly listened to the song when it was being played to clips of Disney villains. Actually, now that I think about it, back then I had a friend who was super into Voltaire, so I guess I got influenced.
Um... I wasn't a goth. ^^ Oh wait, were you asking me what I was like then, but forgot to put in a question mark? Meh, I was... not much different from how I am now. Though I was more naive, less confident, waaaaay more uptight, and desperate for friendship (hence why I wound up spending more time than I should have on the college's computers; online, I finally met people I felt I could connect to; sadly, I've lost online friends over the years, but some of them have been maintained more or less, while new friendships end up being born ).
