Yet another award winning update, this time from the brick house! Definitely, a scene that deserves 10 out of 10 points! I chuckled at the description of the Southfork truck: "... one of the larger and newer ones with air conditioning so cold that you could cut hang beef and cut steaks.". Cute how Ray didn't want to look Donna in the eye as he was driving, because he wasn't being completely honest with her! I loved how Ray worked his b*** off to give Donna and Margaret a wonderful surprise! And I loved how he confused her by saying this: “I had to scrub down some of the walls and have furniture delivered and make the beds and stock the refrigerator. ... I also picked up some new toys while I was at it. Can’t have my girls staying for the weekend without something to play with.” I'm not sure that it's a good thing to admit it, but hey ... I'll take a chance! When you wrote about how the Texas heat radiated off the asphalt surface in waves as Donna looked out the window of the truck, I felt so sure that the next thing I would read was a comparison between the hot asphalt and the "heat" in Donna's loin!!! Perfect welcome speech by Ray: “Welcome to your weekend escape, ladies,” Ray said with a smile. “Dinner will be served at five, with bedtime promptly at ten each night.” He met Donna’s eyes, his smile turning from jovial to warm and intimate. “There are only three bedrooms though, so we may have to bunk up to save space.”. Beautiful description of the brick house and its surroundings! Loved the mentioning of how it felt like stepping back in time (since it felt the same way for me too)! Loved Ray's humor: “No, I had other scenery in mind—just like right now.”. So nice that you included Aunt Lil's music box in this scene! I loved what Ray had done to the brick house's master bedroom! It sounds just perfect! It's no wonder that Ray is looking forward to sharing both a closet and a bed with Donna again! Yes, full circle is a perfect way to put it! Please update soon!
