A poster for the (unlikely) Part 3 of the SATC movie...
I only know of KC as Valeris from Star Trek. She should have simply acknowledged SJP's phony condolences with a curt thank you and moved on.
She should have dragged her through Hollywood by her lace front and left her at the door of a decent acting coach.
Yup, SJP took the high road and KC didn't. KC should have either just ignored her or had that conversation in private.
But is a disingenuously sympathetic public comment to get attention (if it was) really the high road?
How is Cynthia Nixon's expression of sympathy, which was delivered in the same exact public format as Sarah's, any different? Kim's sweet as pie fawning over Cynthia was "disingenuous".
Maybe it's not, except that Cattrall doesn't seem to question Nixon's sincerity.
If someone who had bullied me - if that is what has happened - came to me with condolences after a death, I'd tell them to shove it too. If you can't be nice to someone when they aren't grieving, don't be nice to them when they are.
Kim telling Sarah off was fine, it was her not having the class to do it privately that I have an issue with.
Why should Kim be the only one "to have the class" to speak privately if SJP was publicly faking sympathy?
Kim is just making an assumption, only Sarah knows for sure if she was being genuine or not. Just like she asummes that Cynthia was being genuine. Cynthia could very well have been "publicly faking sympathy" too.
No, you're just making the assumption you know what their beef is about. Kim knows more about it than any of us except for maybe SJP.
I don't claim to "know what their beef is about". I read the expressions of sympathy from Sarah and Cynthia and Kim's reaction to both, I gave Sarah and Cynthia the benefit of the doubt that they were being sincere, and I still say that Kim should have told Sarah off in private.
You made the assumption that Kim was just making the assumption that SJP was being insincere. But you don't know anything about what Kim knows about SJP's intentions.
And if everyone has already gone public with their comments, there is no reason Kim has to be the sole, tasteful, "classy" person by not doing so, especially if she think SJP is a cow.
LOL, so Kim has a mind reading crystal ball intension detector?
More than you do as it pertains to their relationship.
No, she doesn't have to be tasteful and classy.
But she could have chosen dignity over satisfaction. Or is that old-fashioned?
KC should just say that the subject is closed RE: SJP and SintheC, period, to the media, etc.
But why should she have if she didn't want to stay private in her comments, especially when nobody else did?
I'm not saying that she should have, and certainly not to please me.
I prefer people to do the "right thing" (whatever that is) because they want to, not because someone tells them to do it.
Is that a good reason?
