I watched most of the season last weekend and then finished up the last couple of episodes this week. It was a really enjoyable ride that kind of fell apart in the last couple of episodes. At it's best, in the middle episodes, the drama and the scares are really compelling and fun. I wouldn't say the ending was horrible, just not in line with the tone of the previous episodes. In spite of the weak ending, it was worth the watch.

I forgot to mention, the acting remained top notch through out the entire thing--even the muddled ending. Fantastic cast!

I loved every episode! It definitely wasn't as scary as Twitter claimed; I expected a campy thriller-style series but it was an emotional ride I was not prepared for.

I recently started watching this and I'm currently about half way through. I found the story being told in 2 different eras and the fluid timeline in both those eras really confusing at first but once I got used to it I really started to enjoy the series. Not as scary as some people make out but there have been a few scenes than might concern someone watching it alone late at night. I'm looking forward to seeing how it all ends.

I just finished this and thought it was brilliant, if not a little too long. It could probably have been 8 or 9 episodes instead of 10. I have to say that I found it to be a very sad and moving story. There were parts where I was actually moved to tears. The ending of the series and the resolution of the plot reminded me a lot of Richard Matheson's book What Dreams May Come, which was later turned into a Robin Williams movie, which I also loved and found very sad and nightmarish.

I thought the acting was mostly great all round too. Although I cant say I like the guy who plays the adult Steve, Michiel Huisman. He's a very grating actor, well to me anyways. I have seen him in Game Of Thrones and hated him and recently in a film with Blake Lively The Age Of Adeline and he was equally smug and annoying in those too. I think it's his fake American accent. The actor is Dutch.

There were also a few similarities to AHS Murder House, in that people who die in Hill House are doomed to stay there forever as ghosts, just like Murder House. All in all I found it very good show and as I said very sad.
