Today, being awake for less than an hour, I've made TWO life-altering discoveries.

gasp 1: I don't need to put the cursor on the play/pause button in order to make an internet video play or pause. Just anywhere in the video screen will do.
gasp 2: Hitler was the first anti/ex-smoker who had an historical impact on nationwide smoke regulations and tax on Tobacco (pinch me, am I dreaming?)

I watched the film Spartacus last week and in the famous "I'm Spartacus" scene, one of the slaves that stands up and shouts the famous words is this man.

I wondered whether he was the actor George Kennedy in an uncredited role. Today, I did some research on this and many articles and reports claim it was him and when he died many obituaries (some from highly respected news outlets) credited him with being in the film. However, it isn't true, I discovered this man is in fact Bob Morgan, who was a stuntman and actor working on the film.

I just found out today that Elvis and Ann-Margret were a couple for a while. What a dynamic and gorgeous couple those two make.

So it would seem! In fact I watched an interview with Priscilla where she said that Ann-Margaret was the one that she really saw as a threat and was the most jealous of.

Understandable really, Ann-Margret was smokin hot and very talented.

DYNASTY should have jumped on the bandwagon and hire "the woman before Priscilla". It makes perfect sense, in reality and fiction.

I'm sure Nolan Miller wouldn't have objected.

Actually I think she was 'during' and not 'before'. Anyway, she should have been Lady Ashley.

And Oprah Winfrey was almost Ann-Margret! At least in the early years of Photoshop.

In 1989, TV Guide decided to put Oprah on its cover. They took a photo of Ann-Margret (on right) and simply put Oprah's head on A-M's body. And they did it without the permission of the ladies or their photographers. It was quite a scandal back in the day, though I can't image Oprah was very upset. Now, in this age of deep-fake videos this seems almost quaint.

Queen Elizabeth has weights sewn into the hem of her skirts so they can't be blown upwards by a gust of wind.

Janet Leigh stopped taking showers after seeing 'Psycho'.

I stopped taking showers and I take baths, only baths,” she once told The New York Times. The actress had trouble taking a shower even when she spent the night in a friend’s home or in a hotel where there was no bath but only a shower. “I make sure the doors and windows of the house are locked and I leave the bathroom door open and shower curtain open. I’m always facing the door, watching, no matter where the shower head is.”

I'm sure it is not a coincidence that the shower curtains in hotel rooms have a sheer, practically see-through panel across the tops.

Today I learned that the character of Sandy in the musical Grease was based on Donna Mills! One of the writers was at high school with Donna in the 1950s, in the year below her.

I'm not sure anyone can generalize about "the Native Americans" any more than one can generalize about "the Europeans". There were numerous, independent Native-American cultures that developed over two enormous continents, all with different religious and social mores. Though it sounds like a nice sentiment, this sounds a bit too much like someone trying to project their own (modern) views onto ancient cultures, perhaps making a blanket statement about all Native American cultures when in fact it might just be a few tribes among hundreds of others.

Yes, you may well be right. The 'forced' and 'five' in bold print did make it feel as though this was trying to promote the modern day gender politics agenda. Nonetheless it is interesting if it's true, whether that be in all Native American cultures or only some.

What I learned today is that Leslie Hylton from West Indies is the only Test cricketer ever to be hanged.
