I've just discovered some wonderful videos featuring David Crystal.
Such erudition. His clear explanations bring our language(s) to life in a way that's most compelling. I could listen to him all day long.
What you said is fine because in your reply you've used "so" as a sub modifier referring back to my previous comments. What I find annoying is when people use "so" as an unnecessary interjection at the beginning of a sentence. I hear it all the time which was never the case 10 years ago.
"Excited for" in place of "excited about" makes me come over all...
I'm excited about you and I am excited for when I will see you make that grin.
Separate names with a comma.
