The creator of MAD MEN returns with his 2nd high-profile project THE ROMANOFFS, an 8-episode miniseries, this time on the Amazon streaming platform Prime.

THE ROMANOFFS is described as a contemporary anthology series, set around the globe, featuring eight separate stories about people who believe themselves to be descendants of the Russian royal family. It was shot on location in three continents and seven countries collaborating with local productions and creative talent across Europe, the Americas, and the Far East.

Each story takes place in a new location with a new cast. The series premieres in October and the first teasers are out:

So...these stories do not intertwine like, let's say, Sense8?

Ooo, that sounds like fun! I adore Mad Men, and I see some of the cast has made it to the new show. Christina Hendricks and John Slattery - two favorites of mine from Mad Men. And a whole lot of other interesting names!

Annet Mahendru is in it too, or so it seems.

It's hard to say what it is based on the trailer, but it looks kinda...light-hearted?

Watched the first episode this week. Marthe Keller & Inès Melab were very enjoyable to watch. They carried the episode. Now I am curious to see the next part of the Romanoff descendants. Will it be anything like the first episode or feel completely different?
