Man i'm so full! Guess i'll have a berry belly now
I do like my raspberries, strawberries etc.
I had a full fry up this morning - fried egg, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, beans and hash browns. If you healthy eaters don't like it, you know what you can do. You lot get on my ******* nerves with your preaching and your low fat Pot Noodles or whatever you all eat.
Half a pound off this week!
This vote was so hard. "What tastes better, junk food or healthy food".
Yes, Junkfood tastes slightly better, sometimes even a lot (after a long time not having it), so i voted for junk food.
But that doesn't change the fact that i LOVE healthy food, vegetables (potatoes, spinaci, broccoli, cauliflower and all that stuff).
But just for the taste it isn't as good as junk food (such as chips and sweets and cakes).
Not surprising, as the food industry does everything to trick us with the taste (by using lots of chems, glutamate and such) and almost noone is immune to that.
But knowing that it's unhealthy and only makes you fatter and fatter and helps getting really overweight and sick (and die much sooner), i tend to mostly chose the slightly less better tasting healthy food. Mostly vegetables, but sometimes fruits as well. Now more berries (as i have learned here)
But every 2 weeks i have my "unhealthy" day with lots of sweets and/or junk food, because hey, you only live once.
I try to avoid meat whenever possible. Not just because the WHO recommends eating meat at max twice a week (otherwise it's unhealthy and supports cancer) but mostly because really GOOD meat is quite expensive and i cannot afford it more often.
"Good meat" for me is meat that comes from animals which had a "happy life", cows being able to eat gras and walk around outside, same with pigs and chicken.
I don't want meat on my plate from animals that had to live a horrible, tortured life in too small cages and never saw the sunlight and then get slaughtered after this horrible life just to spare me some bucks out of pure miserliness. I don't want to eat meat of that origin, i love animals! Besides, noone needs meat to stay healthy nowadays.
And i don't want to be one of those false pretenders who say "I love animals" and then regulary eats steaks that cost just 7,99 $ in the supermarket or feeding up with burgers from McDonalds. Because that's not loving animals, that's supporting torturing them in the most horrible ways possible. I despise that, those are animal haters and torturers to me.
If they have a dog or a cat i always like to ask them how they would feel if their dog or cat were held under those same circumstances like the animals they're eating.
I wasn't always that strikt, i had my McDonalds-time as well and loved eating steaks in medium priced restaurants or cheap ones from the supermarket.
But i woke up one day. It's never too late to learn.
I will always eat meat, I have total confidence in the food supply system here in Northern Ireland, our meat is amongst is the best in the world. Rigorous enforcement systems are in place to ensure proper checks are maintained.
And being from farming stock myself, I have total confidence in the vast majority of farmers here. Yes, there will be a tiny minority who try to cut corners etc, but you can apply that to much in life.
I didn't get on well tonight, 1.5 pounds on. A charity breakfast this morning at work with traybakes didn't help.
Back on track this week, lost the 1.5 pounds from last week!
Another 1.5 pounds off this week, just one pound away from target weight!
Maintained my weight this week, which under the circumstances is OK, I was struggling with a bad cold.
Stay away from salmon!
Farmed salmon is highly toxic for the environment and for humans.
I wouldn't be a fan of salmon, and rarely eat fish - maybe a fish supper out of a chip shop would be the only time.
One pound gained this week, not what I was hoping for. It looks like it will be tough to get these last two pounds off.
Another blip this week, half-pound gained, although I was away in Donegal for two days.
Hopefully I will get back on track for next week.
I cut out sodas and doing light walking and have lost 17 lbs ... so far
now im at a plateau and stuck but i feel pretty accomplished
found out alot of my stomach problems have been due to something in soda ... so had to give that up
Well done on your weight loss!
Back on track - 1.5 pounds off this week, just one pound away from target!
yay another 1.5 lbs loss today
i have been at a plateau standstill the past 2 weeks.
Well done! I'm making a big push this week to get down to my target, one pound to go!
I've been losing 11 kilos from 2 and half months. Have been thinking what to eat and drink, and when. Salads with chicken, risecakes, lots of water and green tea. That's my receipt. And to move more than eat.
Really enjoying my life at the moment. 179/71. (44 years old)
