That's a very decisive vote, Emelz!
Definitely TO FRANCE
Unfortunately MOONLIGHT SHADOW has always been one of those songs which, for some reason I find annoying. TO FRANCE has more life to it and is a more interesting song to me.
off TO FRANCE we go!
The Video you posted of Moonlight Shadow wasn't available in my country @Willie Oleson so I went to youtube to hear it. I wish I hadn't....no no not for me.
Are you implying that you had never heard Moonlight Shadow before? Is that humanly possible?
Moonlight Shadow wins this easily for me because I don't really like To France.
I love Moonlight Shadow and that's where my vote was going to go.
But then I listened to TO FRANCE and found it rather refreshing and so I'm going to France on this one.
I'm torn, so very very torn! I've tried to listen to these songs as a pretended first-time-experience but of course that didn't work.
My vote goes to TO FRANCE (just to get it over with)
If I had listened to it before I probably turned it off as fast as I turned it on to listen this time so no I don't think I have ever heard it before.
C'est une victoire pour la chanson To France. Félicitations!
This inspired me to take a look at two French-Canadian smash hits from the 1960s.
Lucille Starr: THE FRENCH SONG vs. COLINDA
When I was listening to COLINDA all I could think was Dolly Parton, which I mean as a huge compliment. I preferred THE FRENCH SONG because it sounded more engaging to me, her vocals are flawless.
The French Song by a mile. Colinda sounds too jaunty and annoying for my liking.
I didn't like Colinda at all but I found I really liked her voice in The French song.
So I guess it's off to France I go again.
The comments here are brutal! I vote for A(!)llons danser, COLINDA!!!!
The French Song sounded like she was gargling with some water in parts.
As far as novelties go I love Colinda, so I'm giving my vote to COLINDA, la la la lallallala
That means that THE FRENCH SONG will forever be remembered as Lucille's most popular signature song. Well done, soapchat!
Nous disons adieu aux Montagnes and move on to the next signature song dilemma.
Tatjana: CHICA CUBANA vs. SANTA MARIA
I vote Santa Maria because Chica Cubana was nauseating.
You mean her dangerous dance routine? Rumour has it that people were injured during this performance.
I couldn't watch. 80s overload makes me automatically blind.
The song was horrific. IMHO, of course.
I got a little bored half way through CHICA CUBANA (so sorry Willie ) I much preferred SANTA MARIA.
