It's a vote for Santa from me too. The other one sounded like The Ketchup Song on speed - not that I actually know what that is, but that it sounded good (to me anyway).

    You mean like this?

I didn't care for either.....Santa Maria is a little better so that one gets my vote.

I didn't like either song to be honest but I'll vote for Chica Cubana just because of the two songs, it's the one that I would be most likely to watch for a second time for the comedy factor and to understand how she got away with such shocking choreography.

It's 80s Italo-disco versus 90s UK eurodance. Normally speaking I'd vote for the 90s song, but I find Santa Maria more formulaic and unimaginative than Chica Cubana.
    CHICA CUBANA is move-your-tetas fun.

For some bizarre reason, I thought a new battle was happening, I was sure that I had to vote before it changed over.

It is a bit too 90s for me, though it gets better, so maybe I should just keep my gob shut.

Funny you should say that, because it's a retro PWL/SAW style mix.

Anyway, SANTA MARIA turns out to be soapchat's heart desire (and CHICA was only appreciated by the daredevils amongst us:p)

I do not like his voice at all!:cliff:

But I heard a wonderful cover of WICKED GAME, so I'm voting on that song, even though I forbid myself to listen to HIS version :bang:

I prefer WICKED GAME. I've always kind of liked this song, it sounds haunting and I sometimes enjoy a slow tempo song.

I think I once described his voice as a cross between Alison Moyet and Elvis Presley.

Do you also feel the association with Twin Peaks?

I can hear Elvis in his voice too, he also makes me think of a male version of Lana Del Rey. I can't explain why, but I immediately thought of her, maybe the style of singing is similar?

I've just had to listen to this to refresh my memory. Yes, both are haunting in a captivating, but slightly eerie way which I like. Do you get that eerie feeling Willie?

    That makes perfect sense!
I sure do, Long Lashes. Those late 80s/early 90s years are almost like the forgotten years. There's something vague, obscure and dusty about it.

    But wait!
Chris Isaak was in Twin Peaks!

I like both almost equally but Wicked Game edges the win for me.

I prefer BLUE HOTEL but my vote has no impact on the result of this dilemma.
